Communication from start to finish was great (even a reminder waiting for us at our hotel when we checked in). Shuttle bus arrived early to pick us up (we were still eating breakfast)! Bus driver was very informative en-route.

We went out on the smaller boat and it wasn’t nearly as wet, cold or rough as anticipated. That said, it was a glorious day and the water was very calm.

We got so lucky and managed to see around 18 Orcas (3 families) just lolling around for about an hour. Sensational experience and the guide suggesting it was pretty unusual/special. Didn’t see any fully breach, but saw so many for so long and did see some fin slapping. Also saw some seals and birds and a bald eagle after that. Scenery going out and coming back were breath taking too.

Our guide was brilliant (Joan I think) and the whole thing from start to finish was more than we could have expected. Probably just over 3hrs in the boat. We had the added bonus of having 90 minutes in Steveston before our return shuttle which allowed us a little walk around (we had toyed with ditching the shuttle and getting a taxi back to Vancouver; no need).

Picked up from near our hotel in Vancouver. Our driver was a great source of information and gave us a commentary about Vancouver and the surrounding area throughout the drive to Richmond. The boat was large, stable and comfortable with good views, and they provide waterproofs or you can bring your own. The trip took us through the beautiful islands off the mainland, stopping off to view Bald Eagles and Sea Lions. We located a mother humpback whale and her calf and spent some time watching them before returning to port. The skipper Scotty and Naturalist Jasmin were both excellent. Would certainly recommend.

The views of the coastline going north of Steveston, were mind blowing. The trip one way was more than 90 minutes, and the changing Color’s of the sea, were pretty. The ride was at a considerable speed, and one needs to cover up,to be comfortable. The sights of areas at end of the boat ride were 360 degrees of pristine beauty.
Unfortunately,we only saw 3 baby whales playing around briefly and some sea lions perched on a buoy. Not worth the time or effort involved, but still quite a favourite activity,in the right season. The services rendered by the whale watching company, were satisfying.

An awesome day, we watched 3 killer whale babies and their mother. Superb. Then we laughed at the seals and seal lions, with an Eagle and its baby on the way back!

Not a very great tour
It says 3-5 hours. Spent 3 total there and back not a second later.
We spent over 1 hour watching a whale from super far distance, didn't really get a good photo it wasn't surfacing much. Then drove around the the rest 2 hours around ferry terminal to see seals, the other larger boat got way closer. It wasn't that good of location I was expecting to be farther from ferry terminal we just hung around there whole.time was pretty boring tour. Boring location nothing you haven't seen catching the ferry. (In fact saw better views on the ferry) Saw 2 Animals. For being in a zodiac I assumed we would be going farther and closer than the large vessel considering we had to wear the suits, had I know thst I would have just booked other vessel at least they got closer to the 2 animals that the group saw.

A very average experience. Staff were nice and efficient and we did see whales. But basically we hopped on the small boat and just started going out into the ocean. There was very little information shared or much of an "experience" . Basically a boat ride to see some whales and headed back to shore. The guide added very little to day.

Really great trip, managed to see a humpback and her calf. Amazing to see them in their natural environment, skipper (Scottie) kept great distance from the whales to protect them. Great job. Highly recommend

I booked a whale watching trip for myself and my grand daughters as a joint birthday present for them What a disappointment and a waste of $400. We left Steveston a little early, around 8:45 am and were excited to be on our way. 5 hours later, after going all the way to Victoria and back, having seen a couple of eagles and two seals we were hot and tired and ready to go home. Finally there was a small sighting of a few whales. Mostly we saw some fins. At that point we were no longer interested and just wanted to get off the boat. We got back to Steveston at 2:30, hot and tired and disappointed. Almost 6 hours on the boat and 15 minutes of a small sighting. What a let gown!

A very well organised trip we chose to book the shuttle transfer from our Downtown hotel this was ideal arrived on time and our driver Levi was wonderful. We added a packed lunch which was freshly made . We chose the larger boat as it offered some shelter and a bit more comfort . It’s a fair distance on the boat to where you hope to see whales but that’s not an issue we was able to spot other wildlife on route and the boat slowed to allow guests to look . We found a small pod of Orca’s which was memorable to see they are quite shy but the wait is worth it
