About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Kenneth A0 contributionsGreat afternoon tourOur hotel concierge recommended this tour group. Our guide, Fabrics, was very knowledgeable about Paris, history, Fontainebleau, Napoleon and the area. We genuinely enjoyed our tour. The door to door hotel pickup was absolutely worth it. We shall keep them in our contacts for future trips to the region. Fontainebleau is a wonderful chateau with 800 years of French history.Written March 10, 2025
- tml8880 contributionsTailored tourReally very much worth the price for the convenience, individualized commentary/focus on particular interest areas, effortless transport and lunch. We skipped lines, were furnished with umbrellas for the rainy day, were shepherded from one highlight to another without having to figure anything out, and were given very focused historical and cultural commentary based on our articulated areas of interest. Definitely pricey but if you want a seamless, effortless day, it's worth it.Written December 26, 2024
- foodnwine0 contributionsGet Your Guide is an Irresponsible Guide CompanyI booked an English speaking tour. We were 7 people. # English speakers and 4 French. The guide put off my questions until we were past the point of interest. She spoke French most of the time and when questions were asked in French she answered in French so 3 of us missed the questions and answers. Three of us felt like we got half a tour and were very dissatisfied. I contacted Get Your Guide via internet and told them the problem. They have never responded. I think they wasted my time and will n ever use them again. Fortunately I had a day and a half to walk this sweet town and chat with other visitors and knowledgeable people.Written October 20, 2024
- stevenz8820 contributionsVersaillesOur guide RoseAnn was so fantastic. She was able to give us a great understanding of the history of France. Versailles is opulent and we came to understand why the revolution finally occurred . We also got to see Marie Antoinette’s private residence and the get away for the kids which I would recommend. Beautiful walk !Written October 9, 2024
- toddo2400 contributionsA Fantastic Way to Experience all of VersaillesThis was the second tour we did with Parismatic Tour and they were fantastic again! We had such a wonderful day even though it was a bit rainy. Andre knew so much about Versailles and was very accommodating with some tired travelers. It was a great way to see all the sites at Versailles, not just the main palace.Written October 7, 2024
- toddo2400 contributionsWonderful Tour of Normandy Battlefields and VillagesWe absolutely loved this tour! Bertrand was an absolute delight. He made the trip fun and interesting and was patient with traffic. He had great stories about the sites and we ended up talking about all sorts of other subjects. He did a great job pivoting as we got delayed by morning traffic and had to adjust our schedule a bit and find an alternative lunch location - it was fantastic!Written October 7, 2024
- dianeoT8664AJ0 contributionsGreat tour!We were blessed to have Bertrand for our guide! He was pleasant, very knowledgeable, and by the end of the day we felt like he was one of our family. He seemed to go out of his way to make our visit to Normandy a very memorable one.We will certainly recommend him and your company to all our friends.Written October 2, 2024
- lalocavista0 contributionsA wonderful day in a lovely place. This visit was fantastic! My guide and driver - Neda - did an excellent job and made the journey a delight. The gardens are overwhelmingly beautiful.Written October 1, 2024
- SouthernFriedFoodie0 contributionsLoved it!!Summer 2023 was absolutely amazing!! We did the Get Your Guide tour from Paris, extremely comfortable air conditioned spacious bus. Lovely tour guide. Only wish we had more time!!Written September 30, 2024
- petere2350 contributionsHorrible Experience'Half Day' tour only consisted of about 1.5 hours of time with the guide. We were left to our own to explore the gardens without the guide or any context at all. Car ride there and back was us being berated with all the problems of US politics - exactly the opposite of what we needed. Avoid this tour at all costs.Written September 26, 2024
- Michele K0 contributionsVersailles tour with transportation, issues with tour guideIt was great to have roundtrip transportation for this tour, because this saved about 4 hours in having to figure it out and do it. I was traveling with 5 friends and my wife, 2 individuals had mobility issues. Our guide was very knowledgeable and was able to get a wheelchair at the Palace for one of my friends, which made the tour easier. When we were left in the gardens on our own; we got lost going to the restrooms (there was no one else nearby) and finding the exit, as well as finding our way to the car park. We felt that Bertrand abandoned us to go for a cigarette break. when we finally found an exit and left the gardens we were in the town of Versailles. it was uphill to find our way back to the van so we left our friends that couldn’t walk it. We got back to the car about 20-30 minutes late due to these issues! We had to drive back to pick up our friends, which was fine. However, he should never have left us without clear directions from where we were, to find him, after using the restroom which he said would be less crowded. He was right, there was not another soul in the area, poor signage and no one to ask. Then we couldn’t find the exit also due to poor signage. Except for all this, the tour was good.Written September 22, 2024
- RalphB15190 contributionsEric the Great! We learned so much and had such a good time with the most knowledgeable tour guide, Eric! Eric really knew his stuff, the knowledge and the views complemented each other perfectly. I recommend this tour highly!Written August 17, 2024
- U3460SGchristines0 contributionsMemorable place but not the most insightful guideCertainly an experience we will all remember. Guide picked us up on time. Did not seem as knowledgeable as we expected and seemed to rush us through. Memorable experience but not the value for the price.Written July 30, 2024
- 63oc0 contributionsWonderful ViewWhile the journey is long, you will be amazed at the beauty of the sites. From the shops to the beautiful church, Mont Saint Michel is truly a wonder of the world. I have a separate review of our experience with this company’s half day Versailles tour as well. My husband and I were in Paris for 6 days, and he REALLY wanted to go to Champagne, despite the distance and time commitment. I knew we could take a train from Paris, but having had bad experiences on self-guided adventures before, I wanted to ensure this trip was stress free. Although my husband is an avid fan of wine (we live in California and he grew up in Napa, even worked for wineries), I am physically unable to tolerate wines (sulfates), so I was looking for every opportunity to make the experience as pleasant for myself.
Fred, who we had met the day prior and conducted our Versailles experience, brought his colleague, Julien. They both speak English and have deep roots in history, but Julien has a very special interest in wine, so Fred thought this would enhance our experience (at no extra cost). They picked us up at our hotel, and Julien promptly sent my husband up to get thicker coats because it would be freezing most of the day, so thoughtful. The car was again, impeccably clean and spacious. We left Paris early, stopped for a quick snack and espresso, and continued on the drive while Julien and Fred took turns telling us stories of the region, agricultural and economic sources, and laid the foundation for our Champagne experience by explaining domaines, houses, styles, and grape varietals.
Our first stop was the Notre Dame in Reims, which was beautiful. I will leave the education and explanation of the art and unique nature of this site to the experts, but it was such a great experience as the Notre Dame in Paris is still closed. We then went to Tattinger, a bigger, better known house with incredible chalk caves. We enjoyed a tasting, and then off to an incredible lunch. Julien kept adjusting the day for what we wanted, and I was both impressed and grateful. Instead of doing two bigger houses, we went to a smaller Champagne producer in the afternoon where the lovely host (who also spoke English very well). The tasting was EXCELLENT, and we took home some lovely vintages.
After the smaller house, we drove to the Dom Perignon Abbey, where Julien found incredible areas at sunset for my husband to take pictures. The scenery of the river and the vines at sunset was magnificent. They drove us back home right in time for us to catch another reservation. These guys are so wonderful, passionate, and make great conversation. I highly recommend them, and if you are coming from California (as we were) they would love a good tequila or a bottle of Napa red for comparison to the local fare. We’ll be sending them one when we get back, and I’m excited to book the Louvre with them as I’m certain it will make it more interesting than standing there staring at art.

Our guide picked us up from our hotel in Paris and we drove two hours to the town of Reims, France to start our first tour at Taittinger Vineyard which was excellent. The tour was excellent. we then went to see the Notre Dame Cathedral in Reims which was breath taking to see. After a private two-hour lunch at a great restaurant, we then visited a small champagne producer and stayed for two hours tasting several different local champagnes. We then visited the spot where Dom Perignon was buried and then headed back for a long two ghour drive back into paris.
Our guide Karim was excellent and very knowledgeable on several areas of history and on champagne production.
My only negative comment was that we were promised that our trip to the Champagne region that we would be travelling in a Mercedes Class SUV for the trip and that didn't happen as we were picked up in our tour guide personal vehicle - a Volkswagen Jetta.

This excursion to Champagne was the highlight of our family trip to Paris. Our guide, Fred, was prompt and shared some of the history of the region since the first king of France (Clovis) as well as explaining the entire champagne making process on our way to Reims. He had a great sense of humor, and was very accommodating to our wishes, for a customized experience.
We began our visit at le cathedrale de notre dame de Reims, and had a quick coffee and pastry at Paul patisserie. We visited Taitinger before lunch, stopped for lunch in town (not included), and then visited a small maison du champagne called Morlet, which was wonderful. Monsieur Morlet speaks only French and led us onto the “backstage” to observe every step of the art of producing champagne, including the turning, disgorging, corking, and of course, tasting, of fine champagne. He did this in such an animated way (with Fred translating) that my college aged sons were thoroughly enthralled. And the champagne and Ratafia (a sherry-like liquor only produced in the champagne region) were exquisite. I brought a few bottles home since this smallish operation does not export.
Between the large and small champagne tours, we stopped for photos and to hear some of the history of other hamlets in the champagne area- Epernay, Ays, and others.
Overall a lovely day and a memorable experience!

We had the most amazing tour with Julien last week! He was a wealth of knowledge and provided us with some really great information about Paris, Champagne, and all the sites between our hotel and the champagne houses. He also took us through some historical sites along the way - it was like we got 3/4 yours for one!
To top it off, with the weather being nice he offered to have a picnic for lunch and put together the best assortment of local chesses, meats, and desserts for us to enjoy. One of the best tours we've ever had thanks Julien!

Fantastic. Highly recommend. We had Mario as a driver/guide and he was professional and knowledgeable. Champagne visits featured one large and one very small producer.
