The crew was so helpful and kind. The adventure was so much fun!we rappelled down some very high waterfalls, climbed over boulders and had a small plunge into the water.

We experienced a great combination evening with our cooking/dancing instructor Kathy. The cooking class was lots of fun and we enjoyed a full, tasty dinner afterwards eating what we had prepared. After the dinner, we learned a few salsa steps from this very patient woman, and really had fun with that part of the experience, too. Highly recommend the excursion with Kathy!

We hired Desafio to transport us from La Fortuna to Liberia with a fun adventure - Tenorio River Float - in between with lunch. Our driver was very friendly and polite and always pointing out interesting things to see, even stopping to show us a Rice Field and a very cool view of the Volcano. The drive was comfortable in the bus and we always felt safe. Our Tenorio River Float was excellent as was lunch that was included.

We had a great experience with Diego as our guide. He was awesome! The lunch provided was great and the pictures taken came out exceptionally good.

Spouse and I were leaving La Fortuna and returning to Liberia. We hired Desafio Adventure to transport us between cities but add a fun adventure into the journey. Our driver was polite and friendly and we enjoyed the trip and always felt safe. Our driver went out of his way to stop so we could get a special photo of the Volcano, showed us a rice field, and was always pointing out interesting things to see. Our Tenoria River Float trip with Stiben and Marcos was amazing and a fun break in the long travel. We saw an Osprey carrying freshly caught fish, bats, petroglyphs, crocodiles, monkeys, and our guide even caught fresh fish himself.

The rafting was fantastic! Diego was a terrific guide. He was interesting, fun and kept us laughing. 100 % recommend this company.

Fantastic rafting day with Diego as our guide! Couldn’t have been better!! He had us prepared and trained, we listened to his directions and followed them exactly. We felt safe but went through some crazy rapids. All 4 of us are in our 60’s but healthy and love adventure. So glad we did this! Loved the snack they prepared for us during the river trip and our lunch afterwards. They even pulled us over to see a mommy and baby sloth resting above in trees. The pictures and videos they did of us were unbelievable! Book it… don’t hesitate!

Our guide (Santos Rivera) was the perfect guide. We had a great 28 kilometer mountain bike ride, along with a beautiful kayak, paddle board and swim. He also made us a wonderful lunch. I heartily recommend this company for a great adventure. In addition Santos was great at providing first aid (my wife got a skinned elbow nothing serious but was attended to very diligently).

We enjoyed traveling from San Jose to Monteverde with Wilson. He was prompt, professional and helpful. His friendly personality and comfortable van made the 3 hour trip pleasant!

Desafio provided our private transportation from Monte Verde to Playa Potrero. Our driver, Wilson Arce, was the best. He is the consummate professional. He was punctual, personable and safe. We really enjoyed chatting with him and he made our trip go by quickly with his stories. He pointed out landmarks and points of interest along the way and told us about the areas and cities we traveled through. He even helped me with my Spanish speaking. What a great guy. Based on our experience with Wilson as our driver I would definitely recommend Desafio.

Amazing and exhilarating day! The canyoning, ziplining, hiking, and "Costa Rican shower" were super fun and the staff was very professional. The waterfalls are huge but we felt safe and in control the whole time. The rafting was incredible and more intense than expected. Felt more like Class IV rapids than II or III, which was great for us. Our overall tour guide, Rolo from Nicaragua, is extremely knowledgeable about Costa Rica and showed us an amazing time from start to finish. Finally, the authentic Costa Rican lunch was outstanding - we all went for seconds. Would highly recommend these guys.

Our tour of the rainforest and volcano with Santos was incredible! He was very knowledgeable about all of the flora and fauna, and the history of the volcano and surrounding areas. One of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica!

I cannot recommend this excursion enough, it was amazing!! All of the guides were really fun, friendly, and professional. They went above and beyond making sure that you stayed safe at both excursions. The waterfall rappelling was quick-paced with lots of hiking in water and rocks and it was amazing to having that as part of the activity. The rappelling portion was so much fun with both short and long distances, as well as some zipline rappelling. The rafting was a great adrenaline rush and Alonso made sure we all had a good time while staying safe. They also provided a buffet lunch which was absolutely delicious. If you're looking for an adrenaline filled water activity, I would book this one!!

Katherine was fantastic at describing the culture and relating it to the food prep. You are left enjoying an authentic Costa Rican meal. In addition to the food class she also instructed the salsa lesson. Having 2 left feet and having taken salsa classes before, I found her ability to teach basic movements in a simple yet delightful manner. Of course everything is only as good as your company. Our tour was filled with just the right amount of people willing to participate and who were there to socialize and mingle.

Joser was our guide and he was an absolute blast! My husband and I have some a fair amount of rafting back home in BC, Canada. Honestly, this was the best rafting experience we have had to date. We were impressed with the professionalism and the quality of instruction. It was very similar to the process in Canada. Joser, was super cheeky and funny. The river was really low when we went so the rapids were not as big however Joser made our rafting experience really fun. Towards the end Joser even let my husband and I try to steer the raft, which we were terrible at and he playfully mocked out terrible navigation skills. It was great. Such a fun time. We would do this experience again for sure. Low or high water. We felt super safe and laughed lots! I enjoyed their safety demos in the bus. Super funny. The lunch was very tasty and the fresh fruit half way through was a delight. We were also incredibly impressed with the professionalism, efficiency and on time everything ran.
