The tour was amazing, we had a wonderful day at the Acienda Guachipilin in Rincon de la vieja. Our driver Oscar was great guide, polite, and patient, not rushing you at all.

This was overall a really good activity! We went on a very rainy day (so we didn’t get to see much in the way of scenic views), but still had lots of fun. The horses were well-behaved and beginner friendly. The guide was kind and spoke excellent English. At the end of our horseback riding tour, we got to make caramel out of sugar cane and ate homemade empanadas and banana bread. It felt like a very immersive, authentic experience. The only downside that we can recall was that there was only a very brief period of time in which we were actually in a forested section of trail. We were under the impression that we would be riding mostly through a forested area—this was not the case. We were primarily riding through farmland, rural roads, and neighborhoods. Despite this, we would still recommend it to other travelers!

Our guide, Justin, provided an excellent night tour. He found four different birds; a toucan, a lesson motmots, a few brown jays, and another one whose name I can’t remember. I especially enjoyed the education he gave us about leaf cutter ants. Justin also showed us a tarantula, a walking stick bug, a frog, and a tadpole. Also saw some beautiful white mushrooms.

Justin lead a memorable night hike in monteverde. He was able to spot several birds sleeping in the trees. One of which was a colorful Tucan. He was able to assist with taking pictures of the animals spotted through the scope he had. Highly recommended.

Justin was an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide. we are looking forward to doing a night hike with him this evening.

The wildlife we were able to see was really impressive. It's not a zoo. There are no guarantees and there's some luck involved but a skilled guide makes a huge difference. We saw coatis and hummingbirds, including a violet saberwing. Our guide, Justin has a good eye and was very knowledgeable. Without him, we wouldn't have been able to spot a male quetzal with its long tail feathers, a black juan, and a wax tailed hopper. He's also very funny and handsome and everyone should take a walk with him. (Buy him a hot chocolate at the end - he deserves it!)

We were able to see many types of birds and animals through the guided tour. Our tour guide Justin was very knowledgeable.

Justin gave us a wonderful tour! We saw lots of birds, coati, beetles, a snake, a tarantula. On a nature hike you're always at the mercy of what animals decide to show themselves, and we had a very knowledgeable guide in Justin. Highly recommended!

I did the self guided hike and I loved how it was well-planned and organized. I'm an inexperienced hiker and was thankful that there were multiple markings on the trail to guide you and the terrain was easy to navigate. It was refreshing to rest by the waterfalls after a long hike. There was an option for horseback riding and I can tell that the horses were well taken cared of and healthy. The guide was also very nice and calmed my nerves as it was my first time to ride a horse as well. After the adventure, a yummy lunch is served and again, it was nothing short of amazing. Overall, I highly recommend this tour and this company. They are very professional and organized!

I had booked the night walk tour, but due to heavy rain during the canopy tour (activity with extremo park), I couldn’t arrive on time (we were unable to leave the ziplines because of the intense downpour). Farotravel responded very quickly and was flexible in rescheduling my tour.
