- BoardingPass7393440 contributionsPoor Communication and Customer ServiceIn February, I booked an airport transfer via Viator for our trip to Cape Town in April. I had confirmed our travel information, and received information about how to find the driver upon our arrival. I also printed out both the Viator receipt, as well as the email exchange, on which was contact information for Wondatrip, the company that was to provide the service. Our flight arrived early, so, we waited until around 3pm to go back through the arrivals area to see if the driver was there. After a few minutes, when there was no evidence that there was a driver there to meet us, I had the airport information desk call Wondatrip, but only got a voicemail recording. I sent a message to them on the WhatsApp number that was provided on the email I had received and, to this day, it looks like it was never read. When there was still no sign of a driver at 3:15pm, we decided to book a separate shuttle through the airport to get to our hotel. Upon arrival at our hotel (around 3:45pm), I had the front desk call the phone number again and it was still the voicemail recording, so, I left a message asking for a return phone call (which I never received). Around 5pm that same evening, I received an email from Wondatrip telling me that the driver had been at the airport, had waited for 2 hours, and was leaving. It should be noted that there was no reference at all within this message about my attempts to contact them. I exchanged a few emails with them at that point expressing what I outlined above, and they agreed to have someone pick us up for our return trip a few days later to make up for the no show. However, when I asked that we be picked up in order to arrive at the airport by 12:30, the woman I was corresponding with replied that they would pick us up at the hotel at 12:30. I sent 2 subsequent messages, clarifying my request and asking for a new pick up time, and I never received a response (and I still haven't), and I subsequently canceled with them, via email, on the day we were leaving. We made other arrangements to be transported to the airport from our hotel at noon, and then we were informed by the front desk at 11am that the driver was there from Wondatrip to pick us up! I went down and talked to the driver about my frustrations, including those about the fact that we were never informed about the change in pick up time. He then called his "boss lady" and handed me the phone, and I shared the above details with her. To her credit, she was very apologetic, and agreed that they needed to publish a different number for contact. The driver waited until we were ready at 12, and transported us to the airport, which is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars and not one. Perhaps the change in phone number will help, but I travel a lot and there is really no excuse for this set of problems. I will think twice before booking this in the future.Written May 4, 2019
- Noziphiwo J0 contributionsAdvert and reality are miles apartThe advert details of the trip and the experience didn't match up. For starters it is advertised that pick up is at 8am for a 9am ferry. I got up super early and rushed breakfast to get ready for the 8am pick up, only to be emailed at 7:50am on the day that I'll be picked up at 12:20 for the 1pm ferry. The ferry finally arrived on the Island at 14:16 (Yes the "1pm" ferry!). The trip scheduled to return back to Cape Town on the 4pm ferry. I was never dropped off at my hotel, I had to pay for a tax to go back. The hotel "pick up and drop off" didn't happen. Plus the contact numbers on the email correspondence are useless!! The 2 stars are only for the tour guide who took us on the bus ride around the Island.Written April 20, 2019

We spent half a day there taking the full tour experience with chocolates.very inexpensive.Nice restaurant for lunch and wines and yet again inexpensive.I had been there 15 years ago and still the same delightful experience.😀👍Written March 27, 2019
