About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Navigator297770639590 contributionsOkay for things to bring home. All the tastings were delicious (only one option for coffee ☹️). Prices were so-so. Rum was delicious. Lots of chocolate samples. Everyone was friendly.Written August 14, 2023
- rigchockt0 contributionsOverpriced items. Didnt not feel like buying stuff from the factory.Hello everyone, I was in Punta cana (all inclusive Bahia grand Principe) from the 3-11Apr2023. I wanted to go see the city and wanted to know their culture by talking to the locals. I decided to book a half tour of the local town, which included 2 churches and the this factory tour. First of all this place is overpriced. They are charging more than what the resorts are selling for. They say it is the factory but the price is 40% more than the resort price. Crazy! I was thinking price will be reasonable and wanted to support the factory by buying stuff from them. Later came to realized it is more expensive in there. I recommed not taking this tour because 1. Cigar factory is just a hut where some guys are making cigar. 2. Cigar, Rum are overpriced. It was cheaper to buy it from the resort or duty free. Good thing was. They gave cigar to people who smoked them .Written April 12, 2023

- DDLJ740 contributionsNeat Place to ShopMy husband & I make a point to go to this "compound" every year when we go to Punta Cana. This location has great prices for chocolate, real vanilla, rum, coffee, cigars and general souvenirs. You can schedule free transportation from your resort to this shopping area on their website (tips appreciated). Staff is always friendly and helpful. This outing will only take a couple hours and is absolutely worth it.Written September 18, 2020

- Flatass0 contributionsFun & InterestingWe obtained a free ride to this shopping area from our all-inclusive resort. The place has separate shops selling cigars, chocolate, rum, coffee, and souvenirs. We particularly enjoyed watching cigars being hand rolled and had a great time at the rum shop tasting numerous samples. If you are in or near Punta Cana, this is a must see attraction. Very authentic.Written March 27, 2020

This excursion lasts 11+ hours. This was all in an un-air conditioned bus unless you call opened window’s air conditioning The first place we stopped was horseback riding. The actual ride is about 10-15 minutes through the pasture. You then spend an hour at their little shop and “cigar factory” watching a guy roll 2 to 3 cigars then get hounded to buy something. The next stop was a church in town. We were there about 15-20 minutes. It would have been nice to be here longer to explore the church and grounds. We were then taken to the city farmers market where we literally walked through it without stopping. We couldn’t look at anything because we were told to not stop and keep up with the group plus we were looking down the whole time making sure we didn’t step in anything. It was nasty. We were then ushered into a souvenir shop where we stayed for 30-45 minutes. Next stop was lunch where we were met by the workers from the horseback riding and cigar factory serving us lunch. Lunch was good. Next stop was a little house where a family actually lived with the man of the housing laying in bed and grandma doing dishes. The family has a farm where they grow different plants like coffee beans, cocoa beans, and sugar cane. We saw how they produce each by hand for sale. We were then expected to buy something from this family. After this we went to a ranch for the zip lining and buggy rides. We completed 5 towers then went on a 30 minute buggy ride where we had to keep stopping for people behind us not keeping up. Also our buggy jumped out of gear as we were going over bumps. After that is where it really got even worse. There was a photographer taking pictures all day of the group. They then went from family to family showing their pictures in a phone. We were again expected to buy the pictures at $40 per person in the group or $15 per picture. We spent over and hour and a half for 6 groups to buy pictures. We felt like we were being held hostage until each group agreed to buy pictures. If you said that you didn’t have the $40 per person they would ask you how much money you had left. They would not take no for an answer. We do not recommend this excursion or company to anyone.

Hi! I have a questions. En la descripcion dice que ustedes dividiran el grupo en subgrupos una vez llegamos a la finca. So thath means que no vamos a hacer todas las actividades? I thought we all would get to do all 5 activities. Can you please confirm? Thanks
