Upon arrival in Santo Domingo you will visit the incredible cenotes of the Los Tres Ojos National Park, you will also make a beautiful tour of the most important monuments: the 1st Cathedral in America, the Palacio de Colón and the National Pantheon, you will also be on a romantic street, the first in America, "The Ladies". Dynamic tour.
Well informed guide. All the time explaining about everything in Spanish and English.
First stop for our bus was to buy magnets 7 for 10$, have cash with you.

Cool spots of the city.
It was worth it because you dont need to worry about organizing, eating, thinking about what sightseeings to check etc. Everything is well planned but might be a bit fast for some people. If you want more time to explore the center yourself maybe don't enter in the main cathedral, just talk to your guide and set an appointment to gather again.

The punctuality and kindness of the guides. The guide who was in the car was able to clarify all the questions we asked him. The car was also very comfortable and when the passengers needed something the driver was willing to meet their requests.

Offered pick up and drop off to hotel which is nice. Small comfortable bus and short ride to santo domingo. We had a great guide Miguel he was very helpful, kind and professional and showed us 3 eyes lake cathedral and other spots in the city. I would recommend! A++

Inconvenient Cattle
Shortly after 7am, a large red bus pulled up in front of our hotel and we got on board. The bus was packed, but we were happy to discover two seats together close to the back.

After a five minute drive, we pulled into a parking lot. A man with a clipboard boarded the bus and shouted out my name. He directed us to get off the bus and board a small van. We got on the van and I asked the driver why there was no one else on board. He must not have understood English because he ignored my question.

Another short drive, and we parked in a lot with many buses around. The door of our van was opened and two men asked us for our tickets. Once we showed them our tickets they told us to get on a bus. We must not have been moving fast enough for them because they forcibly pulled us out of the van despite our objections. It was the rudest thing I have ever experienced on a tour.

The bus we boarded had only two seats left and they were not together. The air conditioning was barely on, and the temperature was warm and uncomfortable. English speakers were in a minority and the guide did little to cater to us. He would go through lengthy explanations in Spanish and then say a few words in English that were hard to understand as an after-thought.

I would say that the descriptions for the activities were accurate. Lunch was fine. After visiting the Cathedral, our guide put little stickers on each of us. I assumed they were to show proof of payment for some activity or monument we were about to enjoy. Instead, the next few "sites" we visited were expensive retailers. The guide took the time to tell us in English that the merchandise was exceptional quality. I realized the stickers indicated which tour we belonged to so that the operator could get a cut of any purchases we made.

Our trip back was long and uncomfortable.

If you choose this tour, I hope you have better luck.

nice driver, the knowledge of our tour guide was very impressive and she was also very nice, the museum was great and the tour guide there was also very professional and very clear with his presentation, I liked the walking tour. We stoped at a souvenir store, right across the street is an ice cream place, OMG I suggest you to try it!!! The Cathedral is beautiful. I recommend to take this tour

The town not a pretty sight.

We booked this tour through the hotel excursions. It was $75.00 USD. It's a full day, lunch is included.
On our way to Santo Domingo, all along the sides of the roads are totally disgusting. Tons of garbage everywhere. Animals feeding themselves in the garbage. NEVER saw so many in a town where everyone can see. Definitely not a pretty sight.

Be prepared to walk a lot. The sights are beautiful, the cathedral, museum etc. You get some time for shopping. Lunch was very good.
We came back at the hotel around 4:45pm.

Great company

A fantastic tour. I did two tours in two days with this tour company, one to Saona island, other to Santo Domingo. Both tours were excellent, totally different places, but both equally interesting to visit. The transportation was safe and comfortable, and our guides really made the trips special. They were informative, and a lot of fun to hang out with. I had a really great time both days, and will gladly book with the same company once I return to the country.

Wonderful time in Santo Domingo

Mike was a great tour guide, he was friendly and explained every stop in detail, he was even kind enough to take me to a local store to get a Gatorade after feeling dehydrated. Lunch was good, I hate I was hungrier so I could eat more. I would recommend this excursion to anyone.

Guide needs some work

Our driver was incredible and we ended up getting a private tour for no extra charge which was nice, however I suspect it was because we were the only ones who had booked the tour that day. Our guide's english was not clear and we did not understand most of what he was saying, he also did not communicate much with us in general. The city is nice, but we would have liked to see and learn more. Overall it was a nice experience, mostly because of our wonderful driver.

My boyfriend and I booked this tour in hopes of seeing and learning about the colonial history of Santo Domingo. We both only speak English and our tour guide mostly spoke in Spanish, only communicating the bare minimum in English and rushing through it so quickly we barely understood what he was saying. We spent more time at tourist shops that the company obviously gets kickback from than actually sight seeing which was a huge waste of time. We sat outside one shop for 30 minutes just waiting to go. When we visited the house of Christopher Colombus we were given audio tapes to learn about different rooms while the guide explained everything in Spanish to everyone else. That was fine except that it took us a bit longer than everyone else to get through the house and the guide took the whole group away and left us behind before we were done without even checking to see if we were coming with them. I don't recommend this tour if you only speak English, be prepared to be ignored and left behind.
