      Stay at Finca del Cafe
Great place to stay to discover the coffee region! La finca is growing its own coffee and provides a coffee tour to transform you in a coffee expert! You end up harvesting, processing, grinding and drinking your own coffee! Fantastic tour done with Robin! Then the stay itself is heaven. Swimming pool, long chairs, beautiful scenery and great food. Nelly and Lina are great hosts and make sure your stay is the most relaxing one! The location allowed us to visit the nearby attractions like Cocora and San Vicnete thermals but we wish we could have stayed longer there just lying down, watching the birds, eating mandarines from the trees in the garden and drinking coffee!

We learned a lot with these passionates people!
Welcomed with one of the best coffee since the beginning of our holidays, we had the opportunity to learn a lot about all the steps from growing to harvest and roast the coffee beans. We went in the coffee fields did some “coffee beans picking” and enjoyed a very authentic experience. The height point being tasting of the 100% arabica Colombian coffee. We all loved it.

      Very interesting tour
A very interesting farm coffee. The tour starts with a cup of coffee from the farm. It continues through the plantation with the guide, who tells us the whole process of the coffee. We asked plenty of questions and he answered all of them. You can choose between a short tour or a long one. It wasn't challenging but there were many up and downhills. We did it with children and elder people and we all had fun. It is interactive, at the beginning they gave us typical hats, baskets and vests and we got to pick the coffee berry, grind it... At the end you can buy coffee from the farm.

      Fascinating Coffee Tour
Stayed at the finca and took the fascinating tour around the plantation with our 2 children aged 5 and 7. Even the children loved the whole experience picking coffee beans along the way. Very impressed with the knowledge of the guide and his passion for the Colombian coffee culture. The owners have done a wonderful job creating the route adding miradors for amazing views of the landscape along the way. There is also a fascinating selection of Colombian biodiversity to experience with frogs, citrus trees, papaya and banana trees and beautiful flowers all on display and explained as part of the tour. Would recommend highly as an essential part of the Colombian travel experience.

      Choose your coffe tour here
My family and I went to Finca Del Cafe as a stop on a Guided Tour in the area. The visit exceeded all of our expectations - the people on the farm was so kind, passionate and well-informed. The more private guide, instead of being in a big group, really gave us the possibility to ask any questions we made have had. This was such a good experience, and we would highly recommend it for anyone interesting in coffee and it’s impotance for Colombia!

      Hotel-coffee farm with high quality
Incredible hotel-coffee farm with the most highest standards over the quality in all the aspects. Big rooms with plenty illumination and comfort. Social places like the pool or the jacuzzi where you can relax end just let that the hotel gives you all the pleasures that you want and need. The food is another thing to taste over here as the dishes are typically from the region lots of theme and home made. For the other side the hotel has this excellent program to do the Coffee tour over the crops of coffee of the same farm. You can see all the process since the recollect of the coffee beans, passing the cleaning of the coffee almonds till the roasting and tasting of the coffee in a good cup of coffee. Let this great hotel give you one of the best attentions over the coffee region of Colombia and enjoy this little heritage place of the humanity.

      Memorable coffee tour
As an avid coffee drinker I was looking forward to experience Colombia's Zona Cafetera. I stayed in Hotel finca del cafe (was reviewed separately) and took a 4.5 hours coffee tour with an excellent English speaking guide. The tour takes you through all the stages of growing coffee and producing it or as they call it "from the bean to the cup". You will learn about different kind of plants, how to germinate them, cultivate them, the process of picking them up and how the difference methods of drying the beans effect the grade of the coffee. Walking through the lush plantation you will get to know the flora and fauna of the regain, the history of the people, traditions and costumes as well as personal stories and experiences that together will open a door to the coffee culture of Colombia. In the end, you will roast your beans over an open fire, grind them and make an amazing cup of organic Colombian coffee. It is a fascinating tour, well structured and delivered and it is highly recommended. Combining it with a night or two at the finca will surely enhance your experience.

      Memorable coffee experience
My daughter, who now lives in Colombia, was directed to this coffee tour by members of her club in Pereira and we are so fortunate that this happened! We had the shorter tour which lasted about 2 hours. Our tour was in Spanish, but I understand that it is possible to have someone there to translate. During this time we hiked through the plantation, learned a lot about how coffee is grown and produced, and got to sample the freshest coffee we have ever enjoyed. Although I am not great at hiking, I was able to keep up and enjoy the experience. Our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. I would certainly recommend this experience.

      The best coffee tour!!
We visited Cafe del Fiinca earlier on today and found it to be excellent from start to finish with the whole tour lasting between 2.5 to 3 hours , we were initially met by the owner who showed us round the accommodation , beautifully set out with individual artwork to each room while the grounds and swimming pool overlook the fantastic countryside around the coffee farm. We then met our guide for the morning tour , Luis Eduardo, as well as the other guests and we started the tour with an explanation of the logo for the coffee area before taking us on an extensive tour if the coffee farm , set in approx 12 hectares with Luis explaing the whole process from start ro finish as well as describing the surrounding flora and fauna and the way this all interacts with the coffee process. We completed the tour by grinding the beans we had picked on the way and then being shown the roasting process followed by a further sample of the freshly roasted and brewed coffee before returning to where we had started where the host served us a delicious cold coffee and lemon drink. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would recommend taking this tour if you are in the Coffee area , it was a great experience with such lovely hosts and tour guide.

      An unforgettable experience !
During my stay in Pereira, I visited the Finca del Cafe in Santa Rosa with 3 more friends. We drove from Pereira with a private car. The route is very easy and it only takes you half an hour (without traffic) to reach the Finca. Only the last kilometer is not asphalt. Everybody there were very friendly and helpful. Jose, our guide there, impressed me a lot. He was kind and talking and talking... and explaining everything. Plants, flowers, traditions, the entire coffee production process, revealing to us the secrets of growing coffee. The landscape was really spectacular. This visit was the highlight of my visit in Pereira region.

Perfect place in the coffee area
We stayed here for two nights. Absolutely recommend it: the views are stunning, there is a nice pool and heated jacuzzi. Nice seating area for relaxing and playing games. Very quiet and serene. Meals are served by the pool. Don’t miss the tour around the coffee plantation. You not only learn about coffee but walk around beautiful fruit trees, amazing flowers and get to enjoy the views of the valley full of coffee plants.

      An absolute delight!
This place is an absolute delight for a coffee lover and for anyone who is curious about the coffee growing culture. When you arrive, you are greeted by Nelly, the owner of the coffee farm, a charming women of many talents. In addition to growing coffee, she is also a painter, an interior designer, and even an inventor of a delicious cold drink - coffee lemonade. First, you are offered a cup of coffee, which is a nice touch comparing to other farms, where you need to wait to the end before you get one. The tour takes good 3 hours and includes a 1.25 mile walk through the farm, the plantation fields, the bamboo forest, the little piece of rainforest along a little creek and more. The guide Eduardo is an agricultural engineer and he is happy to tell you everything about coffee and about many other plants that play a role in the process of growing coffee and in the whole culture of coffee in Columbia. The explanations are detailed and thorough. The walk is very pleasant and refreshing. With a bit of going up and down, it's a little bit of a workout for the hiking fans. Not terribly hard though. At the end, after learning everything there is to know about coffee, you will see the traditional method of roasting, grinding, and preparing coffee, and you get to enjoy your second cup of coffee, followed by a glass of cold and refreshing coffee lemonade. The farm also has a small boutique hotel with a salt water pool, jacuzzi, and 8 beautifully decorated guest rooms. We already set our eyes on it as a candidate for our next relaxing vacation. The tranquility of this place makes it a perfect escape from the crazy world that we live in. We highly recommend this place - for a coffee tour, or for a nice relaxing vacation in the middle of the coffee region. If you don't speak Spanish, come with your private guide that can translate to your language. One way to do that is to order this tour from Viator, including transport and a private guide.

A little slice of heaven with beautiful views, abundant landscaping and excellent staff. Enjoyed three nights here in one of only eight spacious rooms. The guest rooms encircle a shares common area with indoor and outdoor seating to relax and enjoy the stunning views.

The hotel has a restaurant nearby with excellent food and service. Garson and Hector took exceptionally good care of us each day.

Of course the Origin Coffee here and the coffee tour were both wonderful.

The hotel manager, Miss Nelly, is completely service oriented. Every request was full filled quickly and with a genuine caring attitude. Smiling staff each day from the owner down to the gardeners.

    Loved it! Steve and Kelly.

Finca del Café’ was exceptional. Nelly was a very gracious host and we lacked for nothing. Great staff, excellent food (we ate at the Mirador for all meals) and beautiful accommodations. Beautiful views. We were wishing this was our last stop since it was so relaxing and wonderful. Trip to the Cocoro Valley and Finlandia and Salento was excellent. Trip to the thermal baths was also very enjoyable. Certainly a wonderful stop in the heart of the Coffee Region.
