We booked during Covid our trip at Bateleur Safari. They said free cancellation. We cancelled our trip because of the Covid. Until now we stil haven’t received our money yet. Very disappointed in Bateleur Safari. They cannot make their promises true. Never book again with this organisation. We lost €3600…

is a fraudster who does not keep agreements. inspection is already hot on his heels. so pay attention was given many opportunities, many false promises, but never kept the agreements. It's a good guide, but that's it

We had a great time on our two day Safari in Iringa! January is the wet season so it’s very green there, which means animals like lions and leopards are very hard to spot and unfortunately we didn’t see any. However we saw lots of elephants, giraffes, zebras, and much much more! We enjoyed the nature very much! Our guide, Serafino, was great, gave us lots of information during the whole trip. The banda was great for sleeping, the food was good, and during the night we heard hippos walking past. Would recommend!

We had a fantastic experience with a custom 5 day safari in Ruaha with Bateleur for my husband and I on our honeymoon. Everything was arranged for our trip with 1 days notice (we booked locally in Iringa with the very helpful Helen) so we could truly relax and enjoy our time. Our guide Jimmy was absolutely incredible: with 5 years of experience in the park he was both extremely knowledgeable and well connected which is quite important for the rarer animals. Cannot recommend highly enough to book your safari with Jimmy if he is available!

Great organisation from very friendly people. We went in Ruaha National Park for 1 day and a half. Jimmy was a very friendly and very competent guide and driver throughout. We also took a 2-hour-walking safari with 2 rangers from the National Park : great to watch hippos, crocos and even a lion while walking along the river.

I met with David at Iringa. He drove us to Ruaha National Park and was our guide for the whole trip. I highly recommend him! He is very knowledgeable, he does his best to show you the best of the national park. You can ask him about anything related to the park or animals and plants..he will explain it to you in such an interesting way, that makes you want to ask more questions!! Thank you, David!

We were met by Rajipa David of Bateleur tours once we reached Iringa , they are a small but very professional tour operators and made a follow up to the smallest details , Rajipa suggested us a night safari too which will be in our memories for a very long time , very knoweledgeable and experienced staff , driver and guide ,he always made sure we get the maximum game viewing, he will be available even late at night if needed , we had a very hassle free experience with this company from day 1 upto the end of our tour . We definitely recommend this company .

Guiding in the park is very good, saw quite a lot of animals including lions and a glimpse of a leopard. But 7 hours of driving from Dar is dreadful - on top of that, long discussions about accommodation in the park. It is probably better to fly to Kilimanjaro Airport and go on safari from Arusha

Nothing very much special but if you are in Iringa better to visit but nothing special there, just simple rocks but good place for those who loves history n want to walk around

Bateleur is a top notch Safari company. I had an amazing time with them. Great vehicles, great guides, and great service. My guide, Rajip (David), is a high energy and passionate wildlife guide. I loved touring Ruaha National Park with him and listening to his extensive knowledge of Tanzanian wildlife. 10/10 woudl recommend. When I come back to Tanzania I am calling Rajip immediately.

We choose Bateleur after reading about them online and in Lonely Planet. It turned out to be a very good decision. The communication beforehand was thorough. Our guide David made our safari an amazing experience. He is a wandering encyclopedia regarding animals, plants, geology and whatever else you may have questions about during a safari. He also helped us out with other issues for our trip like plane and bus tickets and always made sure we were doing fine. Thank you Bateleur and David for a great experience! Hope to be back soon!

Being our first safari for most of our group, we didn’t know what to expect. David (our guide) was great. He was exceptionally knowledgeable about every animal (from identifying them to discussing their habits). He asked which animals we most hoped to see at the beginning of our trip and made every single effort to help us see them. He repeatedly checked in with other guides to share sighting information, too. We were lucky to see all of the animals we did (although that’s not really in his control). He ensured that our accommodations and food were taken care of and to our liking, even when there was a bit of a mix up about room reservations. We genuinely enjoyed having David — he felt like our friend by the end of the safari!

Thanks to David for an unique and top quality tour. Ruaha is a great park for all tastes and genuinely relaxed and uncrowded. David was a great, knowledgeable and attentive host. I could not recommend Bataleur Safaris more...great value from a small, local outfit. Thanks.
