Alex was a friendly and knowledgeable guide. We did the ‘foodie’ tour so spent the morning hiking the Cascades trail with Alex then enjoying lunch together. He brought us to the L’Enderon trail which we hiked alone in the afternoon. The scenery was outstanding and Alex provided us with lots of interesting information about the park and the habitats we saw. Thank you for this wonderful trip! Highly recommend.

The park ranger welcomed us heartily and she gave us excellent suggestions! she made it possible for us to make the most of our time. was it perfect...? close, but could be even better, why/how?... as a volunteer Trail Manager in the States, I am something of a purest and try to keep the trails in as "natural" a condition as is possible; not easy given that the goal of each trail is to bring people safely deep inside forested areas. on Scotora, it seems the rangers have erred-on-the-side of "too few windows" through the dense forest and out to wide-open vistas. the final vista at Scotora look-out is LOVELY, but there should be a few on the way there (and back). As is, it's a long hike for just one window; otherwise, the hiker is hemmed in the entire way (there and back). But, WOW! what a final view at the end point.... WOW.

Our hike through Jacques-Cartier National Park was beautiful. Alex was a great guide, helpfully describing the flora and the Quebec region more broadly. He provided excellent sandwiches for our lunch break.

We hiked along a tributary of the main river through the park. The path was rocky and at times somewhat steep, so wear hiking boots if you can. The path leads to an overlook, but we did not make it that far. The forest surrounding the path was dense and unspoiled, and provided shade for most of the hike. But the bugs can be fierce, so bring bug spray.

We were tired but happy after a wonderful afternoon in the woods.

Booked this tour for a hike and maybe some birding. I have been to Jacques-Cartier Park before. On the scheduled morning, we got up early and made it into town. We arrived at the appointed spot early. I had my tickets and text confirmation on my mobile at the ready. About fifteen minutes later I began to think we were standing in the wrong spot.

I called the guide and asked if he was looking for us. He said, "I don't have any tours booked today." He said he was never notified by Trip Advisor of my booking. He was extremely apologetic and polite but insisted it wasn't his fault. Time booking and showing-up totally wasted. Now to see if I actually paid for this. Shame on you Trip Advisor!!!!

Beautiful day of hiking in pristine Jacque Cartier National Park! Went on an excellent guided hike with Alex from Quatre Natures. He is incredibly knowledgeable, and was attentive to everyone’s level of hiking (highly recommend). The beauty of this park is magnificent and peaceful. We stopped for lunch along the river, and enjoyed the most delicious sandwich (on a fresh baguette) from a boulangerie (just off the highway in Stoneham) that we stopped at along our way to the park. The park rest area/building is accommodating with a fountain to replenish your water bottle, clean restrooms and lunch area in side or picnic (w/tables) outside, and a nice gift shop. The drive into the park is truly lovely…

Our first time booking through TripAdvisor (Viator). As precaution, I looked up the actual tour operator (Quatre Natures) and, sure enough, they had our booking and all details were es expected. We opted for a guide hike, as the increase in price was rather reasonable. Consequently, we gave our guide (Alex) a generous tip, as he was really nice and took really good care of all our needs. They shuttled us from downtown Old Quebec right to the trail-head in a nice van, beautiful drive. We were looking for a moderately aggressive hike so, in agreement with our other 2 guided-hike guests, we opted for the "Les Coulées" (the Flows) trail, 11km. Trails were in great condition, good variety.

It was an intermediate hike due to the elevation. If it is a cloudy day, I would recommend staying along the river. We hiked and reached the top to have our view of the valley obstructed with clouds. Well marked paths. Beautiful!!
