- Freedom819780 contributionsChristmas MarketsGreat place to visit with Christmas markets all around. The weather nice a crisp! Cold! Food fantastic but make reservations before you! Dog sledding was awesome! Hotel 71 was in the middle of shops and a very nice hotel! I recommend them highly!Written January 3, 2025
- 96ashtynm0 contributionsFun & Unique Adventure Facilitated by Excellent Bike ShopThis rental shop went above and beyond to assist us with a bike rental in Dec 2024 for my birthday. We were properly fitted for bikes, taught how to operate them, given helmet, locks, and goggles, and my friends even rented other gear to stay warm in the sleet. He gave us a map and detailed directions on how to ride to Montmorency Falls from Quebec City. I might not recommend that particular bike ride during winter, as the bike trails were not cleared and we were riding through at least a foot of snow, which used a lot of the battery. Riding fat bikes in the snow is kind of like riding in constant mud where you slide around quite a bit. There is a bit of a learning curve. When we had issues with low batteries and a longer than expected trip, they helped us get back with no issue and offered us some warm beverages when we got back to the shop. I would absolutely recommend this rental place for a unique adventure.Written December 26, 2024
- F8851VGdanielleg0 contributionsUnique experienceGuide was very knowledgeable with the history of the city and area. It was very cold that day and standing in line (even though we had thermals, sweater, thick jeans, coat, gloves and hat) our toes became really sore. Unfortunately this package doesn’t come with any fast passes or anything so you do have to wait in the line with everyone else. Also please note that there isn’t a lift to go up the hill. It’s a steep climb with wire on either side.Written December 25, 2024
- hopew2920 contributionsCancelled due to lack of snowOur trip was cancelled as there wasn’t enough snow. While we received a refund, it would have been nice to be given an option to go for a hike instead. By the time it was cancelled, we’d already added a day to our trip and came prepared for an outdoor activity that included checking luggage.Written December 20, 2024

- pattybruzek0 contributionsA great way to visit the Falls!!We really loved using the bikes. They were easy to use and there was a paved bike path out to the Falls. They were so wonderful to work with!Written September 29, 2024
- 6KP60 contributionsExcellent bikes, friendly and helpful staff. We rented a couple of bikes to ride out to the Montmorency Falls. Excellent bikes, very friendly and helpful staff. We had a great day out and would highly recommend Echo bikes as a supplier. The trip out to Montmorency is lovely and well worth doing.Written September 29, 2024
- Barbturner20130 contributionsCity Tour on e-bikesThe views were lovely but found the guide Danille to be in a rush and hard to keep up with…..lost her a couple of times. Also be aware that you are driving thru traffic in the same lanes as cars , trucks and buses for a good portion of the trip. You are expected to pass in and around these moving vehicles. Bike path portion was very nice, but roads were extremely busy and navigating through traffic was very stressful. Not given much guidance by the guide as she was well ahead of half of the group.. Our guide also shared her political views to the group that were unnecessary and biased to her beliefs……political views should not be part of the tour. Overall it was a great way to see a lot of the city but many aspects of the trip could be improved.Written September 28, 2024
- tstewart880 contributionsDodging traffic but big fun!!It was really fun tour and we definitely do it again with our group of 5. Would have loved a better orientation to the bikes for our the 1st timers. There is definitely a learning curve. BEWARE that you WILL be riding through traffic & in and out of cars. It was a little scary. Guide was very knowledgeable but lost the back half of our group twice turning corners going through town. However, we got to see some really cool things and she worked hard to get us to parliament before a protest that day. I still would highly recommend the tour. Guide could stick to less political topics and be more empathetic to those of us who aren’t used to the city. Still highly recommend !!Written September 28, 2024
- Carrie S0 contributionsA Great Way to See Quebec City!A fun way to see Quebec City. Had we not taken this tour we probably would have not seen how beautiful a city it is. The bike tour was challenging at first, just figuring out how the ride the E Bikes. But no falls for us, so a great day! Danielle, our tour guide, was great! Very knowledgeable about the city and she clearly loved Quebec City! We were lucky to have her as our guide. Would totally do an E-bike tour again!Written September 25, 2024
- sward50 contributionsTour Guide Cancelled at the last minuteUnfortunately our guide cancelled at the last minute. The folks at Echo Sports felt terrible. They gave us a full refund and let us use the bikes on our own for 3 hours. It was a nice way to see the city but we definitely missed learning the history of the city. It was too late to schedule a different day or time on the bikes.Written September 24, 2024

- LJAMaidenhead0 contributionsOne of the things you must do whilst visiting Quebec. By far, the best way of seeing the city. One of the things you mustWhat a great tour. There were six of us plus our guide and it was a great way of spending an afternoon. We must have travelled around 25 km, so saw absolutely everything, including some of the less visited parts of Quebec and our guide, Renard, was absolutely fantastic. He knew everything about the city and lived in the centre, so really knew what he was talking about. The bikes were first class and good quality, I would thoroughly recommend this tripWritten September 17, 2024

- 33Carolita0 contributionsGreat way to see Quebec CityWe had a really great time on the tour. It was just my husband and I with the tour guide Ben. Ben is very knowledgeable, has a great sense of humor and was good about guiding us through busy streets safely. I think the only thing I would’ve liked differently is to have those microphone earpieces to hear him speak while riding the bikes on tour. Naturally, there’s a lot of stopping for notable places on the tour. But I think we could’ve heard a lot more history if he had a microphone. I highly recommend this trip, and I would do it again when I return to the city.Written September 12, 2024

Definitely recommend calling ahead to reserve bike rental. Bike paths in Quebec are well laid out and this seems like a popular activity while visiting this quaint city. Bikes were ready upon arrival, and rentals include helmets and lock. Would opt for entire day rental rather than 4 hours if going to Montmorency Falls (especially if you choose to zip line or ride cable car). Solid choice!!

Very kinda staff that let us reschedule to another day because the original day we booked it was raining. They helped adjust our bikes to make sure they were comfortable. We rented the bikes and then took the ferry to Levis. The kind staff gave us a map and showed us where we could bike in Levis.
Since we ended up during 15+ miles, next time I would probably rent the electric because we were tired at the end

Had the best day cycling along the St Lawrence, across the old Quebec bridge, through Levis and back on the ferry.
The staff at Echo were very friendly and helpful. We called to make sure they had bikes available on a busy holiday weekend and they still had a great selection (e-bikes, hybrids, road bikes and cruisers). We had planned to go up to the Chutes but mentioned that the crowds in Old Quebec were a bit overwhelming. They recommended the route we took instead and it was fantastic.
Bikes were in great condition and well maintained. The shop had everything you might need (including sunscreen and water bottles). Prices were very reasonable.
Thank you!

Great staff. Everyone we spoke to at Echo was friendly and helpful. Ended up just renting for a couple hours b/w the rain storms. Took the path along the water to the bridge with my 13 year old.

My husband and I rented bikes from this shop. The shop is right on the bike path that runs through Quebec City. We rode to the falls from the shop (12.5 miles) and it was very convenient to rent them here. The bikes were in great shape. The service was very friendly and informative. They sold us tram tickets that were a couple dollars cheaper than buying them at the falls and it allowed us to bypass the tram line which was a great plus! We have no complaints!

I was very happy with my tour with Denis the guide leading us. Denis gave some great information including giving sound advice taking the ferry across to Levis for only 7 dollars. I also liked the staff as they were so helpful with getting my bike setup. Would highly recommend this tour!

Thank you for your comment! The cycling path on Levis's side offers the best view of Quebec city and the St-Lawrence river.

My husband and I rented bikes for 4/5 hours and rode along the bike trail to the bridge. We then crossed the bridge and rode down the other side of the river to the ferry. It was a wonderful day out, stopping at some lovely cafes and parks along the river. The staff that rented us the bikes could not be more helpful. This is a must for anyone visiting Quebec.

My spouse and I rented bikes from Marc at Echo Sports on Thursday, July 12th to take to Montmorency Falls. While we did get lost (thank goodness for Google Maps), Marc had given us clear instructions for arriving there, and there were plenty of signs along the way, too. It's difficult to overstate what a nice guy Marc is; because we got lost, we called to let him know that we would be a bit late and not make our four-hour window. He told us to simply be back by a certain time, and to my surprise, he did not bill us anything extra for being late - he understood completely. The bikes were in tip-top shape and just a blast to ride; terrific value for the money. Thank you, Marc!

We did a walk in bike rental - super easy and the staff was friendly. They even took some time to explain where we can ride. The bikes were well maintained and worked well.

We rented bikes twice from this location, and found the staff really helpful and nice. They helped us select bikes and fit our equipment and gave good advice on where to ride. The rates were reasonable. The only downside is that, to exit or enter, you have to roll the bikes down and back up a staircase next to a busy street, and it's difficult to maneuver without a boarded ramp on the staircase.
