The hip on hop off bus was a great way to explore the city and learn information. We were given headsets and listened to the history of the city. The bus ran from 9ish to 3ish and stopped at 14 landmarks. People were able to hop off and hop back on. The bus picked up at the locations every 45 min. It was a beautiful sunny day so we sat on the top of the bus. We had a spectacular view of the city.

Our tour guide, Daniel Ross, was very personable, charismatic, funny, and extremely knowledgeable about the rich history and culture of Quebec City. The tour itself was excellent hitting all the the key sights, allowing me to plan the rest of my stay based on the places he took us to. Learning as much as I did about this incredible city in two hours with Daniel has inspired me to spend more time studying the history of Quebec City and the origins of Canada. A return trip to Quebec City in the near future for my family is definitely in the works!

This was a very nice bus tour of Old Quebec and other parts of Quebec City. Daniel was a great tour guide and provided lots of detail on the history of the city and various sights / monuments we should consider exploring on our own after the bus tour.
Daniel had a great sense of humor and was the highlight of the tour.

Alain our driver was fabulous. He knew the city, the history and architecture really well. Explanations were clear in English & French (and German if needed 😎) History can often be boring but Alain made everything interesting. We were constantly amazed at his driving prowess as he navigated the narrow streets. The bus was immaculate and the tour extremely interesting. A perfect morning!

We only had an afternoon after our cruise before our flight left that night so we really didn't have a lot of time to experience this beautiful city. We did the afternoon sightseeing tour. We enjoyed this very much and felt that we actually got in a lot of the sights. Really would like to spend more time in this fascinating city.

Daniel was awesome and very accommodating. Great sense of humor. It was the easiest way to get an overview of the city without a lot of walking. We thought about the city cruise, but it was sold out. Glad we took this instead.

My daughter and I had the good fortune to book this 2-hour bus tour of Old Quebec City. Our driver/tour guide was Daniel. He made the experience very interesting and personal, as he shared some of his childhood stories of growing up there. We really enjoyed ourselves!

Our tour guide Jean was quite knowledgeable about the Quebec city. we got private tour experience due to small group :) He even took us around the city by walk. It was an amazing experience. Kids enjoyed his questions. He even included kids in his commentary. He suggested some amazing places to visit with kids on our own exploration time. Over all we enjoyed it! Thank you!

Does this tour include Norte Dame Basilica?

Bradford West Gwillimbury, Canada59 contributions
Unfortunately, you will not see Notre Dame on any Quebec City tour. However, do take one of the many tours available as the area is quite large to cover by walking only.
I would suggest going to the Tourism Quebec office and talk to one of their very helpful staff who will certainly help you select and book the right tour for you!
There are many wonderful sites to see.

How far is the pick-up location from the Norwegian port and how far is drop off to the airport. Our ship arrives at 7 am and we have a 4:20 flight . Since we have never been to Quebec would like to at least see a few things. Also, is it possible to bring 1 large suitcase on the bus or is there a place to store it (locker?) at the visitor center?

I am not very good at estimating distances, but would guess it is about a 20 minute walk from the port (lower Quebec) to Upper Quebec and you would need to use the funicular due to the luggage. Cost is around $3 a person. I didn’t notice if there was any luggage storage at the Visitor Center. I took an afternoon tour which lasted a few hours and was quite full. Not sure if the bus would allow a large suitcase. You could always use that same time to walk around the old city and enjoy all it has to offer if you found luggage storage because dragging a large suitcase around Quebec wouldn’t be practical as the streets are cobblestone/bricks and uneven but beautiful. Traffic to airport really depends on the time of day. I used a taxi and left early morning and it was an easy drive, landing it took double the time due to the commuter traffic. Truly is a lovely city to visit.

My wife is slightly handicapped and has difficulty climbing onto a bus. Any suggestions? do the buses have step stools or some other aide?
The bus we were on was full size and I did not see any boarding aids. I would contact tour company directly to see if they could accommodate you.
Is their parking where we take the tour

We, too, joined the tour from our hotel - the Hotel Chateau Laurier - which took us to the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac where the main tour began. We saw very few empty parking spots in the area so be sure to arrive early or be prepared to walk to the tour buses.
