    What to Expect
Taste the delicious diversity of Montreal during this 2.5-hour walking tour of the city's thriving culinary scene and the many food-focused retailers in Old Montreal. Whether you're a hardcore foodie or simply looking for a new lens through which to explore this unique Quebec city, this tour is a great option.
Start your visit at the Notre-Dame Basilica at 9:30am, where you'll meet your expert local guide. The charming cobblestone streets of Old Montreal will be your setting for the next 2.5 hours, as you wander past the area's many colonial façades and learn about its rich French heritage. This historic district also happens to be the home of some of the city's most delicious boutique food sellers and patisseries, many of which occupy former showrooms and factories dating from the 19th century.
Absorb some history about the area from your guide as you walk. Hear about the longstanding French influence on Montreal's culinary scene, and discover how the World Expo of 1967 played a key role in expanding the palates (and appetites) of Montreal residents. Along the way you'll also sample a variety of tasty foodstuffs, including smoked meat, macaroons, pâtés, and much more. It's the perfect way to satisfy your hunger for knowledge during your visit to Montreal.

We’ve done a lot of food tours all over the world and always enjoyed them this one was just ok. Not interested in going back to any of the places we stopped in to taste and the history part of the tour was average.

Our guide for this tour was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The food was excellent. We were introduced to the latest pastry, the canelle, which is like a small, rich pound cake. I’m sure things like that change over time, as various foods go in and...More

The guide provided historical context for the foods and neighborhoods we visited. 3 of the 5 stops were for sweets. My preference would have been for one less but overall enjoyed the tour
