Overall this day trip was decent but the format should be changed. We left Montreal then got dropped off in Quebec City to meet a guide who took us on a 40 minute quick tour. Then we jumped back on the bus and went to Montmorency Falls for 30 minutes. Then we headed back to Quebec City where they drove us around for about 30+ minutes or so while the guide pointed out highlights as we drove by. There was no opportunity for lunch (unless you wanted to buy a sandwich and eat in the bus) and by the time we FINALLY got dropped off at Quebec City it was almost 2pm. If you wanted a nice sit down meal, you would have so little time to explore Quebec City. We had to meet the bus by 4:40pm to head back to Montreal. Knowing what I know now, we should have rented a car and driven up ourselves so we could have more time.

The tour could be greatly improved by either doing Montmorency Falls first then Quebec City with no interruption or visiting Quebec City first then Montmorency Falls at the end. For people who want a few facts and highlights and are not as mobile, this trip is adequate. If you want more time to explore Quebec City, then I would avoid this excursion. Our driver was EXCELLENT! Our tour guide was decent enough except with the size of the group and the crowded Quebec streets, you could not really hear him unless you were very close to him.

Well worth a visit with Gray Line Tours. The bus driver was extremely knowledgeable and informative during the journey. The tour guide in Quebec Katya was so well informed and very engaging. Quebec City is absolutely stunning and also the falls. Would recommend this trip.

Firstly, the tour itself was well organized. Quebec City is a stunning portrait of quaint houses, eclectic shops and restaurants. Our tour guide was an older woman with curly gray hair (apologies for not remembering her name!) who had obvious pride in her heritage. She was funny and gave us a wealth of knowledge about Quebec, the interesting history between the French and English, in addition to recommendations for things to do for a longer stay in Quebec.

Montmorency falls is stunning, but we didn't get the full experience due to the brief visit. And I honestly thought we could have skipped the bus portion of the tour since Quebec is a walkable city.

Also, our tour bus broke down in the middle of the ride back, resulting in a 2 hour delay in getting back to Montreal ( I ended missing a jazz concert I really wanted to see as a result, so that was disappointing)

I appreciated the trip because of the brief glimpse of Quebec. I would definitely go back independently a spend a good 2-3 full days in the city.

This tour was a great way to spend the day! Quebec city was beautiful and we got amazing photos at the falls. We enjoyed a great fondue trio in quebec city at le petit chateau which was also amazing. The guides were funny, knowledgeable, and professional! Andres and Rock thanks so much! We feel so badly that we forgot to bring cash these 2 made our day that much better!! Please dont be silly like us and make sure to bring cash!

What a fabulous day! Andre our bus driver and Katia our guide were marvelous. Andre was thoughtful and careful, kept us informed and entertained us throughout our journey. Katia come on board once we arrived in Quebec City and she is definitely one proud Quebec-er. She is knowledgeable and passionate about her subject matter and has this seamless ability to use real world connections to keep her tour participants engaged. Must do...

Monsieur is an excellent tour guide.
He almost cried when he boarded the bus and saw that it was almost full. After 2 years of small groups, tourism is finally back!
His knowledge of the city and its secrets was enlightening.
No Spanish, except señorita, por favor cuanto cuesta cerveza. But he makes up for it with lots of charisma.

The bus driver and tour guide were excellent. We got stuck in traffic so we didn't get as much time with the tour guide. She was a Historian and gave us a wealth of knowledge in the short time we had her. The Falls were meh. Quebec City is the real attraction. Totally worth it.

This is a very well organized and conducted tour. I've been to Quebec City on my own but didn't see or learn a fraction of what I saw on this tour. The tour guide was excellent. There was a generous and appropriate amount of free time.

Let me start with the place...it is really pretty and a day trip is enough for the visit. The driver was also very nice but the tour guide wasn't too professional for example while explaining about places whilst the bus was moving he used terms such as "look here" instead of giving a direction so you either have to look outside and ignore him or just look at him and glance outside after he points at stuff. He talked more about himself than about Quebec and did not take notice of peoples needs. I had a pushchair but he ignored that fact and took us through a route with stairs instead of another way (there was another way) and didnt offer to help me get it down either. He was much more interested in his tips.

Nice enough tour, but ruined at the end. The bus driver made us get out at the wrong hotel at 8:30pm after a 12+ hour excursion. We were staying at Holiday Inn downtown but he made us get out at a different Holiday Inn. He said our hotel was 2 blocks away. Now mind you, we just arrived the night before and this was our first time leaving the hotel. We do not speak French and were put out on a unknown street with our 4 souvenir bags, left to fend for ourselves in a foreign country at night. Our hotel ended up being over a mile away! Not happy with with Trip Advisor, Viator or Gray Line Bus Canada 😤
