- X1633IRkarenr00Oakdale Church Deshler Ohio bus trip to Lancaster PAA fantastic trip through Senior Excursions to Lancaster PA. Moses at Sight and Sound was incredible! We also enjoyed The Home Game at Bird-in-Hand Theater. Other stops were the Amish Experience, Bird-in-Hand Farmers Market, Kitchen Kettle Village, and Strasburg Railroad. So much packed into three days. Our bus company Excursions Trailways Ft Wayne and our hotel The Tru were great! Great food at Miller's and Yoders Smorgasbords. Highly recommend this trip. Great experience.
- drpritchard200300Charlottetown a nice place to visit.I believe that this tour gave a good overview of the city and some of the suburbs. The driver was entertaining and humorous time well spent. The bus was older, and while the bus was quaint, it was somewhat uncomfortable, because the seats were not necessarily attached . Other than this, I think it was a trip worth taking.
- Extraordinary9489500Very informative! We took the tour first day into our holidays and learned a good deal about the city and where we wanted to explore more! Our driver was very informative and provided ideas also of where to eat in the upcoming week. The bus does need a little upkeep though
- 148sherriw00Great tourGreat tour. The driver was informative and entertaining, ticket agent welcoming and helpful. It was a good length, speed and coverage of the city. Very accommodating. One person in our party uses a walker and was very comfortable. Good value for money. I would recommend.
- SteveT_NC00Disappointing TourVery disappointing tour. We were in Charlottetown for several days & wanted a quick overview of the town & its history. We got neither. What we did get was a crowded old bus with no A/C & windows that would not open. It was stifling. The tour had slight mention of the history of Charlottetown, & the tour didn't go through very much of the old historic part of the city. We could tell that the other passengers were disappointed. I think a walking tour of the old section would have been better. We can't recommend this tour.
- Traveljoy5500Unfortunate ExperienceWe had toured with another Prince Edward Tour the day before and had a great experience. Also, we had read the other two reviews, which were incredibly positive and we were hopeful. I am sorry to say we had a poor experience with this tour. The van driver, Caroline, spoke mostly about her personal life and not about PEI. She was not knowledgeable about the island, having just moved here three years ago. There were not clear time frames, and there were times when the driver did not seem to know where she was going. It seems she was usually a bus driver for a large bus, but not a guide. Also, it was difficult to hear her because she did not wear a microphone. In addition, the tour mentions a small gift provided by the company while at the winery for those who do not drink, and there was nothing of the sort; indeed, there was a snide comment by the winery owner, "This is a winery and distillery, so why are you here if you don't drink?" One of the reasons we chose this tour was because it had provisions for those who do not drink alcohol, along with the other sites. I would not recommend this tour.
- O7290OMsusanj00Shore excursionI would recommend a tour by this company. They are licensed and knowledgeable about PEI, Charlottetown, area, etc. Blaine was our driver. He was great! All transactions were smooth on this private tour of 6 with adult family members. I didn't know where exactly to meet him after getting off the ship. However, I called the number and within seconds he found us. I definitely recommend.
- nancysinnam00great had a good timeJust love the scenery of PEI the lady bus driver was great enjoyed her jokes and comments on what we where seeing Best part was Cows ice cream its better then Chapmans in Ontario
- tonyl25500~~ Historic Culture Town ~~It is capital of P.E.I , very friendly full of culture and history and artisan town with Victorian heritage not a big town and lot of restaurants , shops , famous ice cream shop .
- Cherwk00A charming tourWe did the 1 hour tour around the town and surrounds. The stop was easy to find at the cruise terminal. $30 CAN or $25US We enjoyed the tour, guided by our bus driver Dean Martin. After travelling for so long, it was charming to visit a town and see the suburbs where the "real people" live
- M3749OYlorrainef00Good tour of Charlottetown PEIIt was easy to find the Prince Edward Island tour at the cruise ship terminal in Charlottetown PEI. We had booked ahead. The bus was small which was very welcome & we got a good seat for viewing. Our guide was very knowledgeable & easy to understand. This is a big plus as my husband is hearing impaired. The sites were interesting & the guide explained the area. A very good experience.
- 13GetAwayGal00Walk with JoeWalking tour with Joe MacDonald - excellent guide, knowledgeable and funny. Easy tour of the city, a bit over two hours.
- RC3031900Great tour guideWe booked this as an independent shore excursion for a private group of 4 people. Paul was our driver and he was on time waiting as communicated. Van was clean and Paul was passionate about PEI and what we would see. He planned the itinerary to avoid tour buses and gave us plenty of time to see the sights. Very good experience and we would highly recommend Paul for any tour on PEI.
- John H00Enjoyable PEI tour with Paul, Tours-R-UsOur cruise ship made an unscheduled port stop in Charlottetown and we were looking for a way to see some of the island. My wife and I met Paul (Tours-R-Us) at the cruise dock and hired him for a tour of the city and island. The tour was Interesting and informative. We learned about life on the island, saw the university and much of the city and island. We learned about the potato farming industry and the associated technology unique to PEI. We saw a mussel farm and beautiful beaches and summer homes. Paul’s van was modern and he was a careful and considerate driver. He adapted the tour to our interests and at the end recommended an excellent restaurant where we enjoyed the local mussels and lobster rolls. We highly recommend Pau. He can be reached at 902-394-5070
- carolgP5071ZO00Charlottetown tourNice overview of Charlottetown but too much time spent driving around the college and thru residential neighborhoods. Can’t imagine people appreciate a double decker bus driving by their houses. One drive by downtown area & wish time spent to get off & then get back on for closer look at downtown. Nice recomm on place for lunch and had Prince Edward Island mussels. Weather turned rainy and went back to cruise terminal.

Tour and tour guide were excellent. Anne of GG site and museum were good but staff at cafe easily overwhelmed by just a few people trying to get something to eat. They only had chips, ice cream and beaver tails that took WAY too long to cook for the number of people there. Short stop at jam/preserves shop which couldn’t handle two busses of people. Tour guide was excellent with interesting stories. Scenery was outstanding. Would do it again but would pack a lunch and something to drink!!!

If you’re looking for a way to visit Green Gables and you have your own transportation you should go directly to the site on your own. The tour is on a big tour bus that makes a couple other stops besides GG for a few minutes in a lobster village and at a nice little preserves maker, but you only get around an hour at GG. The bus doesn’t go to or near the beaches or lighthouses. The tour guide is engaging and enthusiastic, but there aren’t many historic places to narrate so it’s a lot about farming and fishing and life on the island, etc. So if you’re an Anne fan and you have a car, go on your own to Green Gables where admission is less than $10 U.S.

She gave information about PEI including history, economy, geology. But the best part was Green Gables where I was not told what someone else wanted me to know about Anne, but gave me the time to dwell on my memories from first reading the books in 1947. My memories were respected. The properties were cared for and kept up to expectations. It was as if the character had just left for school.

This tour was full of information and efficient. The guide was knowledgeable, and the bus driver was competent. We learned a lot about the island in a short period of time. I recommend this tour to others wanting an overview of Anne of Green Gables and Prince Edward Island on the whole.

Have you read the "Anne of Green Gables" series of books? This site of the farm where Lucy Maude Montgomery once lived helps to bring the books to life. It's a glimpse of farm life in her lifetime and you can just see Anne running across the lawn. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed touring the house, barns and yard of this well preserved home. The displays of the author's life and accomplishments are well documented and interesting. Make it a "must see" stop on your next trip to the Maritimes! You will be glad you did!

The tour driver/Guide was entertaining and gave us history about PEI, its seafood and potato industry. She was excellent. We learnt about the lobster, clam and oyster industry and stopped briefly at Cavendish beach before arriving at Anne of green gables heritage site. We were free to tour the site at our own leisure. On the drive back, we saw a bit of Charlottetown- areas that I would not have seen otherwise. It was a fantastic tour

It was easy to find the tour operator inside the
Port building where the ship docked. The tour guide was excellent, giving us much information. The visit at Green Gables was just the right amount of time. Loved it.

Visited during a trip organised by PEI Tours. Excellent tour with Raymond and lady who narrated during our trip. Green Gables was good to visit but very disappointing that there was no Anne there to greet us. Told that she is only there during school / college holidays. Think that Green Gables Company should rethink here especially with the number of bus loads that visit.

My recent excursion with PET was very good. Joan had loads of great information and she teamed well with our driver Blaine. Not only was the trip great, but upon returning to the security to board my ship, I discovered I had lost my cabin key. Not to worry. It had been found on the bus, I assume, and was waiting for me at the security barrier. Thank you so very much PET.

Three of us had a private tour of Green Gables and Prince Edward Island. Our guide, Maura Lee, was excellent, enthusiastic, and a font of information. We enjoyed her props and love our pictures in Anne of Green Gables regalia. The small van was comfortable. Highly recommend this tour especially with Maura Lee.

Is there a tour that allows for going to Green Gables and see the show “Anne and Gilbert, a musical”? Our ship gets in at 8 am and leaves at 5 pm. I’m looking forward to visiting zJune 3, 2020. Thank you for your help. Linda

Hello Linda,
I apologize for the delay in responding. I was never notified. I will check my settings.
I have no tour that includes either performance for Curise Ship visitors, and heres why;
The Guild is a 3 minute taxi ride from the Charlottetown Cruise Ship Terminal. Or a 10 minute walk if you like walking. Very easy. The corner of Richmond and Queen Street. Right in the very heart of Old Charlottetown.

We were on Holland America, and we had enough time to make it back to the boat. The tour started around 11:30 (I think) and it was almost 4 hours long. We had time to buy some items in the shops by the boat afterwards.

Our ship will be in Charlottetown Sept 19th. I do not see this tour offered on that date.

I believe the tour is only on certain days. I was there Thursday and Friday and it was only available on the Friday.
It maybe worth checking with the cruise company as they may offer it as a trip.
Why are you charging american dollars when this is being paid in Canadian Dollars?

We will be arriving on Norwegian Dawn Sept 7. I noticed from the calendar that you don't offer tours on that day. Is this true or just a glitch? We'd much rather tour independently than through the cruise line if possible. Thanks!
