About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- mandytW790DQ0 contributionsGreat tour to Niagara FallsWhat an utterly amazing trip this was! the falls, well themself are just beautiful. The photos do not tell what it really looks like. It was beautiful. We were in a smaller group which ended up being kind of nice, so we can whip through the sites even faster. The boat is not ready, so we did the falls walking behind. It was nice, but a bit damp. I guess better than the boat!!! The trip is long as there is traffic coming into the city, but the real highlight was the guide. She was the sweetest lady, and really knew her stuff. This overall was a great trip to Niagara Falls, not sure what else we could have done to make it betterWritten March 15, 2024
- irishiiis0 contributionsCruise to Montmorency Falls with Get Your Guide is a good way to view themIt was raining the day we had booked the cruise to see Montmorency Falls, and it didn't matter to us, because we were indoors on the boat. Our guide David, totally bi-lingual (of course he was...) smoothly switched back and forth between French and English, but also explained everything in Spanish too, for a family on the boat. He was knowledgeable, amusing, and told us many detail about the area which other guides had not told us on different tours. It wasn't a "must do" event but it was definitely enjoyable.Written September 14, 2023
- georgiahJ4199UZ0 contributionsThe Maine girlsWe had John McKinnon as our guide he was very knowledgeable and funny we loved him. The only thing we wished was we had done the tour first before we did a bunch of other stuff. Because everything he talked about I said we did that we did that we did that and the guy that went over the falls twice and lived we saw at Ripley believe it or not. But we really enjoyed it and I would do again. Thank you.Written September 1, 2023
- 333bastienr0 contributionsA must see for people planning to visit TorontoConvenient car, sunny day and moreover the best driver we could have (big up To Roy). This trip will drive you to the most important places. At Niagara Falls sure but also to historical places alongside the river and winery ! Thanks a lot for this experience.Written August 24, 2021
- Douglas5520 contributionsAmazing! You can't visit Toronto and not see the Niagara Falls and so I did. Much wider and not as high as I expected, but still majorly impressive!Written August 26, 2020
- Discover184043010540 contributionsFun but a little rushed. It was my first time visiting Toronto and I had a great time. The booking says they were offering hotel pick up at select locations. Make sure if you do not know where you are going because you may be new to Toronto to book a hotel from what's listed. Unfortunately I did not and got a little lost meeting up. Make sure you leave a little early just in case. The driver was a little late but understandable due to heavy traffic. What I did not really care for was being rushed from the tour guide when we already started off late when we got to Niagara Falls. There were some parts where the tour guide was helpful and nice but other where he seemed a little frustrated because we were taking too long. He didnt really guide us too much anywhere you spent most of the time exploring by yourself and meeting up somewhere that changed a couple times. I wish there could have been more time to explore Niagara Falls and definitely more time at the wine tour. There wasnt really an actual "wine tour" just some flights of wine that's very sweet like juice with extra sugar. If you like dryer wines I would definitely not recommend this tour because they are showcasing the ice wines which are extremely sweet. I am okay with some sweet wines but these wines are not for drinking the whole bottle but popular in Canada due to the temperature for ice wine. I also would not reccomend buying lunch but finding it on your own. Also do not explore the lower falls it was a waste of money to look at it. There is really nothing to really see. The attractions were really cool I went on the sky wheel which was fun to experience, you get to go around 4 times and see the falls in the air. The rainforest cafe was really cool also and there is an open bar there. I got to experience a couple attractions, ate lunch, and had a cocktail, and took some pictures but there wasnt enough time. I met some nice people while on the tour also.Written January 27, 2020
- Alice_bd0 contributionsNiagara Falls Visit on 1/1/2020Cancelled by tour operator. Awaiting refund. Otherwise it would have been amazing experience in winter.Written January 11, 2020
- Alex B0 contributionsExcellent from start to finishWe got picked up by Walter in the designated address and time with a friendly welcome and he was amazing from start to finish - he was so knowledgable and friendly, for the entire day. There were 7 of us in the party and he catered to everyone’s needs - even down to small details like making sure the seating arrangements were rotated so I wasn’t in the very back of the car we drove in as I’m tall and it didn’t have much leg room! The whole day was just timed really well and there wasn’t any point where the stop of times felt like they dragged. The day went by very quick and we actually packed in a lot of things such as wine tasting, lunch, Niagara on lake with time to look in all the stores and the Niagara boat tour. I didn’t expect to go on the boat tour and did find this a bit confusing on the information provided - the boat operates into the end of November and only after that is the behind the falls substituted. My only criticism would be that I emailed in advance to ask to be picked up from our hotel but it wasn’t on the list of hotels they pick up at, so we had a short 10 minute walk to a designated pick up location and then had to go pick up some other guests who stayed in hotels with pick ups available - one of which was literally the hotel next to where we were staying at. I would’ve appreciated being picked up to save time and hassle wandering around a new city. Despite that minor fact, we had a lovely day and the value for money for a whole day excursion was brilliant, I’d recommend anyone do this.Written November 19, 2019
- garyenglanduk0 contributionsGood day outBooked with Viator. Directions on where to pick up the tour were pretty straightforward (Strathcona Hotel on York) About 1hour 40 minutes drive out to niagara Straight on the boat trip which is absolutely amazing Then time to explore around Niagara before heading off for 30 minutes wine tasting then finishing up at niagara on the lake for a hour Our tour guide Michael Francis was very friendly knowledgeable & professional Would definitely recommend A very long day Got back in Toronto around 1900. But well worth itWritten October 30, 2019
- Erwan A0 contributionsBasically a taxi service with a few stops, hardly any added value. Poor communicationI booked the tour for 3 people on short notice, for the day after. To try and arrange meeting details, I sent an email, no response after a few hours, I then tried to call the phone number, only to reach a voicemail every time (5 tries or so on a 2 hours timespan). Eventually got a short email to tell me to meet at a location that was already mentioned in the description. It was rather upsetting to feel that I had paid for something that might not be happening. The communication clearly needs to be improved. About the tour itself, it happened to be a 7 people group including us, and therefore the "bus" was actually a 7 people SUV where people at the back were crammed, which was far from comfortable. There was no clear sign to identify it at the meeting point, so I called the number, reaching the voicemail AGAIN. I sent a email, which led someone to call me, that someone talking to the driver at the same time. It turned out that the driver didn't even have the passenger's number, making the meeting quite an upsetting and difficult one. Poor communication, again... The driver was a good taxi driver and a nice guy, but not really a tour guide. We didn't learn much.Written September 15, 2019
- Shardae H0 contributionsGreatMy sister and I went on this tour. It was actually amazing. We needed more time actually at the falls and the area. Will definitely go back and stay a night there. The clock stop and little chapel in my opinion were not needed. would have liked more time at Niagara lake. But overall great tour.Written September 11, 2019
- Ronnyt30 contributionsExcellent Service!Kevin and Lisa are fantastic! They went above and beyond! The bus is climate controlled and comfortable. Kevin did a great and charming job of informing us about highlights on route and at the falls.Written August 28, 2019
- RikkieC890 contributionsAwesome! So first up is the pick-up location... its not specific enough. Its on the square west of the hotel and south of the Tim Hortens. Then second is the point of not knowing which tour operator to look for... we had 'VIP tours', very comfortable though. After this.. its only awesome! Our tour guide was Kevin and he is really great. Giving information with a smile and humor as we go about the surroundings, but also very professional and helpful. Unique in his kind. So the boat in to the falls, do it! Its awesome and nothing I have ever experienced before. Its like your in one big wasmachine and still having a good time;). Ten if you booked a lunch its lunchtime, we didn't and got a quick burger to eat at the side of the falls. Trust me there are more then enough places to get (fast)food, for much less money than you'll pay for the pre-booked lunch. Also if you don't book the lunch, you'll have a hour to yourself and the falls instead of eating lunch... Up next is the city of Niagara on the lake. Highly commercial and touristy, didn't like it at all! Got myself a Starbucks and waited... After a short drive we got to the wine tasting. Tasting.. 2 types of real ICE wine and some information about it. It was nice to drink and fun walking around, but I have had better tastings. But after all I only went on the tour for the falls and really enjoyed my time! I recommend going, you will never forget it. Find this review helpful? - Geoff M0 contributionsBrilliantThis was a real up close tour of the Niagara Falls by boat. The falls themselves are amazing, with an awesome weight of water and the boat gets right below the deluge. It’s all very well organised and professional, with good waterproofing to keep you dry. Excellent.Written August 7, 2019
- Kelly L0 contributionsTour to Niagara NEVER ANSWERED CALL for pick up! BOAT LEFT WITHOUT US!!Viator/Trip Advisor took $300.93 from us for the 3 tickets of the falls/winery. We went to the Sheraton (the pickup point) 1 hour early. We waited . . . and waited . . . . We repeatedly phoned the tour company and NO ONE ANSWERED! We called Viator to ask them questions. They called the tour company and no one answered. Viator readily agreed to refund $300.93 given that we were precluded from reaching the touring company to explain where we were, ask how we could try to get to the launch point by driving/walking ourselves, or whether I might take my friends to the winery portion of the tour for them to enjoy that. Executing the refund, immediately after the Viator asked for my credit card number to issue the credit, the cell lost its connection. Figuring Viator would stand by what it told me, we stayed in Niagara Falls for the day and simply looked at the Falls. I then returned home to a message from Viator -- sent over 24-hours after their promise of a refund -- telling me that they would not give me any money back because the tour bus eventually made it to the hotel and five people boarded it. So although Viator recognized that I was wronged when the touring company did not pick up the phone when I was trying to call them to tell them where we were, to see if I had missed the bus, to find out the first stopping point to catch up (so my friends could enjoy the tour) and no one answered, they backtracked. I called the touring company and left a message with just my name and phone number. It's been hours and I've heard nothing. Even more, Viator has still refused to refund the money. The end lesson learned is this: Avoid TripAdvisor/Viator. Book with the operator directly. Otherwise, you will be stuck with money-sucking corporate hogs who don't stand by their word. This post will likely be buried at the end of the review list given that it is unfavorable. I don't care. I took the time to make it so you can read it!Written August 5, 2019
