Overview
The 40 heritage buildings that call Toronto’s Distillery Historic District home encompass a dark and gruesome history. Delve into the area’s spine-chilling past on a 1.5-hour ghost walk led by a costumed historian or dramatist. Visit haunted sites such as the ironically named Friendship House, hear tales about flickering lights and moving furniture, and sample locally-brewed beer from the Mill Street Brewery.
What to Expect

Your tour begins outside of the tour office on Gristmill Lane at 8pm, when your costumed guide leads you into the heart of the Distillery Historic District by lantern light.

Along the way, you’ll be introduced to the Distillery District, a historic Old Town home to more than 40 heritage buildings, through stories featuring flickering lights, moving furniture, and cholera epidemics.

Pass reputedly haunted sites such as the ironically named Friendship House and Hastens before stopping at the Mill Street Brewery to purchase locally-brewed beer at your own expense.

Your tour concludes near your original departure point.

Distillery District

Ricia was great. Cool stories - looking forward to researching more about them. It was pretty casual - I did expect a little more, which is why I am rating 4 instead of 5. I am glad I went.

Hi, if you are interested in any of the tours, first, you have to make the booking on the web page (the haunted tour) and pay online. It's a totally worthy tour.
