About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Guillermo Aleja... D0 contributionsBAD experience! The waterfalls are stunning, but there were several issues that made the tour fall short of expectations. First, 40 minutes before they were supposed to pick us up at the hotel, we were informed they couldn’t come because of “road closures” in Toronto. We were asked to take a taxi to another hotel where they would be waiting for us, and they assured us they would cover the cost of the Uber. However, when we arrived at the other hotel, there were no road closures in sight, which made it seem like they simply didn’t pick us up because it was inconvenient for them. While they did reimburse the Uber cost, we had to spend extra time commuting, which was not what we signed up for. To get the refund, they said the driver would reimburse us in cash. I had to ask him multiple times, and only at the very end of the trip (when he was about to drop us back at the hotel) did he reluctantly give us the money back. Speaking of money, I still don’t understand the tour’s cost. It seemed very high for what we received. We spent hours on the road making stops that didn’t make much sense. The driver was rushed and occasionally rude. In summary, I wouldn’t recommend this tour based on its cost-benefit ratio.Written January 3, 2025
- Venture5470050 contributionsNot delivering what was promised. Shabby vehicle. No hotel pick up. No restroom in the bus.The company did not pick us up from the hotel as per the agreement. We had to reach a new place to board. Our phone calls were never returned .There were no restrooms in the bus which was agreed on. The vehicle was quite shabby and dirty. The driver took 10 stops for pickups which made the trip travel time to 3 hrs instead of 1.5 hrs. Will not recommend anyone to use zoom travel.Written October 6, 2024
- 949reenat0 contributionsAMAZING!!!This experience was absolutely amazing!!! It was too good that I had to do a review. The shuttle had spots that they would pick up and it was nice that they waited for those that missed it the first time. The bus ride didn’t seem that long. The tour guide/ driver was very knowledgeable and funny. The boat ride to see it up close was beautiful and absolutely breathtaking. The views from the hotel dinner was the perfect location to see the view. Maple syrup tasting was a cool new experience. The buffet was good, plenty of options. Seeing the Niagara Falls at night was a totally different experience. Highly recommend this tour to everyone! Worth it!Written October 5, 2024
- DJArmit0 contributionsNiagara Falls view tour with Cruise and lunchThe Zoom tour bus called by our Eglinton ave hotel for pickup and drop off. A big day but packed full. We loved the small group tour with 7 of us, it made it easy to maximise time at each stop. Our driver Garry was experienced and skilled in driving in heavy traffic. We found his advice helpful on where to go to catch the cruise, where to meet him and when, where to get good photos. The highlight of our day was the fallsview lunch which we booked with our tour as an add on option.. The lunch at Fallsview grand buffet was very good and the views across the falls are truly awesome. Highly recommend booking Zoom tours to Niagara Falls.Written October 1, 2024
- Mark_S1863780 contributionsGreat tripWe got a little worried when we read the odd poor review. I’m sorry for those people but I have to say our trip was phenomenal. There was about 18 of us on the one clean tidy coach. We were picked up bang on time. At this point I should mention Johnny. He was our tour guide and he was absolutely fantastic. Involved the group, made everyone welcome and cracked one liners all trip. He’s obviously a clever guy because he had all the info too. I can honestly say he made the trip for us. That said the stops were really interesting and the falls were amazing for us as first time visitors. We also booked the dinner at the Sheraton. When we got up there Johnny had reserved and sectioned off an area for us. It had the most amazing views of the falls as darkness set in. After dinner we went to the falls again to view the illuminations. All in all a superb experience. Thanks Zoom and THANKS JOHNNYWritten September 29, 2024
- WindyGyle0 contributionsDwayne's World - Party on!I went on the Day Tour to Niagara Falls that included sightseeing and the boat trip. Overall, the trip was excellent, and our driver and tour guide, Dwayne, was fantastic (if you’re reading this Zoom Tours, then give him a promotion!). I have to say I was a bit nervous after reading the small number of negative reviews on here, but honestly, I can’t fault the trip. The only minor issue was that we were not collected from our hotel of choice, and instead asked to meet downtown at another hotel. This wasn’t a huge issue for me personally, and is totally understandable given the need to balance the needs of the schedule, but this could perhaps be an issue for others. Other than that, the day went really smoothly, and I really enjoyed Dwayne’s excellent commentary throughout the day on the social history and geography of the region. On arrival in Niagara we were on the boat within minutes, and then we had 90 mins after that to explore the area before heading off on the bus to a series of other interesting stops. Dwayne also went above and beyond at Niagara on the Lake, risking the wrath of local residents and traffic control to take us direct into the centre of the town so that we could enjoy an extra 30 minutes of sight-seeing and ice creams. The circling community transport minibus (official town transport) made our military-style fly-by extraction onto our minibus from the main street very exciting. Finally, despite some pretty awful traffic, we arrived back in Toronto by 5:30. One of the best tours I’ve ever been on – I would highly recommend it.Written September 21, 2024
- 997mirelled0 contributionsWonderful fallsThis is a great trip. Highly recommended. Our tour guide Dwayne was fantastic. Very upbeat and positive. The trip is nicely paced and of course there niagra falls are breathtaking. You must do the boat!Written September 20, 2024
- zoecrow0 contributionsAmazing experience and brilliant guide/driver GarryIt was a really brilliant day exploring. We saw so much of niagra falls and niagra on the lake. Garry the driver and guide was very helpful and informative. I would definitely recommend this trip.Written September 14, 2024
- darrenm1430 contributionsBe more clear about price in US dollars; more expensive than other companies, long wait for refund. The price was in US dollars and was way more expensive than other tour companies who listed in Canadian dollars. When I cancelled, refund was still not posted 6 weeks later. I had to call to get refund posted, which was done immediately.Written August 30, 2024
- charlessV7780BG0 contributionsWould not do this tour again.Bus trip was way too long. We were late getting picked up, then had several other stops to pick up more passengers. We requested a hotel pickup but were told after the fact where we had to meet the bus. This required an uber ride to a coffee shop downtown. Traffic in downtown Toronto is the worst I have ever experienced. The Boat ride was the highlight but the other stops did not offer much. Better off just booking the boat ride on your own. We opted for the optional buffet at the Sheraton. It was a nice buffet but not sure it was worth $50 per person. The tables they have set aside for the tour group did not offer a view of the falls. We did not make it back to the pickup point until after midnight then had to wait for a ride back to the hotel.Written August 28, 2024
- NorthStar486974510880 contributionsNot enough time to exploreBooked trip with my family. Bus came on time at 12:45 for pick up, but took 2h to get all guests on the board. There was a bit traffic, so, we took back route, which was ok. Due to festival we didn't stop in village on the Lake. We arrived to Niagary at 7pm, so, took 6hours to come there! We had Stops on the way, but not enough time to explore- always 10min or 20min(once). Our guide Anthony was knowledgeable and great, can't fault him. Boat trip was great, had 2h of free time. Can't comment on dinner as didn't have it. Travel back to hotel took 2.5hWritten August 4, 2024
- Sunshine_slo0 contributionsNice, but a bit weirdThe tour was okay, but I don't really believe it was worth the money... The guide was okay, but the stops we did, weren't really worth visiting. We even skipped at least one, that would probably be worth seeing it (Niagara at the lake). I don't know, maybe that one was skipped, because on the way to Niagara our car broke down, so we lost some time there, so overall it was a nice but also a bit weird experience.Written July 17, 2024
- shaunbE4452OP0 contributionsA great day outAmazing trip with tour glide Johnny providing a great deal of info and humour. Comfortable bus, great lunch at the Sheraton with amazing views of falls, trip on the Hornblower and yes you do get wet but its worth it. highly recommend Zoom.Written July 13, 2024
- AndrewF31_KA0 contributionsGreat afternoon and evening tour to Niagara Falls and Niagara regionA terrific tour by day and night to Niagara Falls and the region around. Johnny, our tour guide, was fun and knowledgeable, sharing a lot of stories along the way. We passed through different areas of the Niagara region, including vineyards, a small chapel, and going through Niagara-on-the-Lake, first stopping for a brief view of the Niagara river, with the US on the other side and the opening to Lake Ontario, and then a 40 minute break in town for a brief stroll on the main street, including a stop for Ice Cream, admiring all the nice buildings and flowers and some souvenir watching. The final stop at Niagara Falls was all that was advertised. The Hornblower ride was quick to get on and then the ride into the falls is marvelous. We ended up adding the buffet dinner at the Sheraton in the end and didn't regret it. The views to the falls and city from the balcony are great. The food choice was nice, and saves you time. A brief stroll through the center, including the crazy Clifton Hill ('Las Vegas' is more and more inflated with extravagance) before the night show (glowing falls and a bit of fireworks) and heading back to Toronto.Written July 6, 2024
- 488kymp0 contributionsOur day tour to Niagra FallsWe were picked up on time from designated location, everything was organised well and Gary our guide was informative. Air conditioner on the bus was not working properly so hot 2 hour trip there and back to Toronto. Some confussion for us and the other passengers at Niagara Falls as the bus had no number or markings and it was not the only black bus. All in all we had a great day any gluten intolerant travellers the Hard Rock Cafe at Niagara Falls has a variety of selections and the nachos is awesome. They were the fourth restaurant we tried.Written July 6, 2024

What an awesome trip! It was the perfect way to see the Falls and enjoy the amazing sights in the region along the way. The boat ride was exhilarating, and the views from the Fallsview Restaurant during lunch were unparalleled. Gary, our driver and guide, kept us on time and got us everywhere efficiently and safely. The stops during the trip were a lot of fun, too.
There was a minor issue with the AC on the bus toward the end of the tour, but Gary had water bottles for us and accommodated as best he could. @Zoom Tours, please tell Gary we enjoyed the trip and that he was a wonderful guide! We appreciate him!

This was a great tour! Definitely recommend joining if you're wanting to explore Niagara Falls and learn more about the surrounding sights. I've rated this tour five stars overall, but please note some specifics:
Make sure you keep an eye on your email in the few days leading up to your tour. They emailed me two times over two days asking if I would be willing to change my booking last minute to a different one they were offering day of. I declined and they honoured my original booking without issue.
They may change the meeting time and location last minute via email notification. They confirmed a new location with me and were 20 minutes late picking me up.
Would have been great if they offered some water on the trip and be sure to pack a light sweater or jacket as the bus ride is very chilly (air conditioner blasted and wind from the highway ride).
Last but not least, I'd like to give a huge shout out to Kaleb in particular! He was our tour guide/driver for the day and he was simply incredible! Tons of passion, great facts about everything we saw, and very friendly and helpful. Would absolutely tour with him again. Thanks for the great time, Kaleb! Wish you luck in everything going forward.

We scheduled this tour a couple weeks in advance for a 9:30am tour and last minute the company called us and switched us to 3:30pm. This minor inconvenience didn’t matter because our tour guide; John was amazing and the group we were with was great! John is very outgoing and knows just about everything about Niagara Falls. He gave us all the good restaurants and suggested other activities for the rest of our trip.

I booked with zoom tours through third party provider getyourguide. In the attached screenshot on the booking site a boat tour is included, however, was not delivered. In an act of bad faith, zoom tours fails to mention that boat tours are not available in the winter time. This is dishonest and takes advantage of consumer trust.
The tour guide was jolly but made polarizing statements regarding politics and religion as well as presenting as facts history that is scientifically false.
Several times he lamented the decrease in numbers of people attending church as a practicing Christian. He also minimized the presence of indigenous people in the Niagara region, saying they arrived 2000 years ago, when the signage in the Journey of the Falls lobby dates their presence since before the formation of the falls 12000 years ago. He imitated some Indian accents while telling a story. When he announced how glad he was that Canada had no problem with illegal Mexican immigrants trying to cross the border, the Mexican mother and daughter in the front seat looked clearly uncomfortable.
The tour guide is a quirky and hardworking older gentleman, but his humor may not be to everyone's taste.
If you want to be driven around on a time constraint to visit the Journey Behind the Falls (instead of the advertised boat tour), taste some maple syrup, and visit the quaint little Niagara-on-the-lake town, this trip may be worth it.
However, as tourists without mobility issues, we would have preferred more free time, as well as access to the more family friendly Clifton Hills Niagara Falls Attractions.
Next time we visit, we would purchase the go train ticket available for $17.79 and spend the day exploring Niagara Falls at a more leisurely pace and with more attention to our personal points of interest.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Advertised as small group tour, hotel pick up and one of the stops being Niagara on Lake.
NONE of this happened and company refusing to acknowledge any wrong doing or give any refund
We were a group of 9 and booked small tour with hotel pick up.
We were told with less than 24 hours notice of a different pick up point that was not even in walking distance. We had to get Uber to the pick up point, it was a 50 seater coach not a small vehicle, we had to wait and did not depart on time due to others being late, then had to go to airport for pick up, then late leaving Niagara - all leading to no stop at Niagara on Lake as advertised.
Now taking legal advise on this as such poor attitude being shown from the company

We did the tour on Friday, August 27th, our Tour Guide Fabio was short fussed and hard to understand. First of all there is false advertisement for there is no complementary WIFI and we did not get a souvenir either. Our guide was very impatient and short tempered, which made the experience not enjoyable. People talked among themselves on how hard it was to understand him and/ or to approach him. I tried to ask him a question and he brushed me off. So we were not too sure how the day was going to go. I decided just to enjoy the day and ignore him. I have travelled around the world and have done many tours and by far this one was just below average.

Contrary to the booking, we were not picked up from the hotel, but were forced to come to Toronto airport without an alternative - after booking - and were picked up there.
The tour guide told us nothing about the country and its people, but only a little about Niagara Falls. Jokes about other guests from previous tours and nations were made to lighten the atmosphere.
According to the telephone booking via the hotel, lunch was not included after all, but was paid for on the spot. 35 EUR per person for a buffet lunch.

The good: Fabio is enthusiastic and has a lot of information to share. He does his best to make it a good experience. The falls are, of course, amazing to see.
The bad: You will spend a lot of time in the bus—if you are the first on you will spend an hour just picking up others. Do not add the lunch option—it's much too expensive for the quality you get (think cafeteria food).
The deal breaker: We chose this tour because we wanted to do the falls and Niagara on the Lake. But our tour did not go there, despite it being listed on our itinerary. Customer service never responded to my emails.

Trip began right on time with pickup near the Union Station. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and its history. The vehicle was comfortable and offered an excellent view.
Being part of a tour enabled us to "fast-pass" some of the lines which was excellent. The boat ride to the falls was fun and only slightly soggy. Lunch was a buffet overlooking the falls at one of the local hotels-- wonderful view and the food was excellent. (Be cautious of add-on drinks there-- sodas were $6 CA, ouch!)
Our trip back included stops at several more sights including a wonderful winery. Overall it was well worth the price and we would take this tour again.

Very informative , lived up to my expectations. did'nt realise how wet you would actually get, a bit more than a mist, more like a torrential downpour, not sure if this changes with weather conditions
