- RZCmom00Great timeWe had the best time on our bike tour! Diana was fantastic and explained everything to us. Bikes were in great shape, we were given helmets, water, and granola bars. It was cold, but she had extra gloves and ponchos available. Trip was safe, ferry ride was short but fun, with best views of Toronto! We loved biking around the islands, which were so beautiful. Highlight of our trip!
- 895betts00Never received our picturesOverall, it was enjoyable. Just a few things you should be aware of. You will meet up in a parking garage, which is a little confusing at first but It was convenient for parking purposes. The traffic in Toronto was crazy. give yourself plenty of time. You will be riding on city streets, to get to the ferry. I was not a fan of that but obviously I survived. If that's a deal breaker for you then this may not be the tour for you. Also we tripped our tour guide with cash after the trip but still got an email asking for a tip and no one sent us our pictures. Emailed the company but no response.
- Toptourist197300A highly recommended tour! Even for inexperienced cyclists. We had a morning tour with Marianna. It was just a perfect way to see the main sights of Toronto before deciding where to spend more time during our short stay. Marianna was knowledgeable and looked after us all excellently.
- Q6292AFdavidg00Great tour with LiamReally great tour with Liam. He is very knowledgeable about the history and architecture of the city and used this to make a really interesting tour
- R4263NVjenniferm00Great tour!Really great tour of downtown Toronto to get your bearings and see all the major areas. Have a lot of stops so the 3.5hrs isn't straight cycling (which we found good). Highly recommend
- Will_John1700Good bike tour and overview of the cityCovered a lot of ground around the city and the different areas. Trip was on roads and pathways though felt safe at all times. Would recommend
- jacobo11000Great Toronto Bike TourGreat tour! Diana and her colleague did a great job and kept us safe. They showed us all the important sites efficiently.
- stephencpoole00You don't have to be fit or a regular cyclistI took a city tour with Torontobicycletours whilst the rest of the family went to Niagara. It was a great way of seeing the city and Jeff, the guide, pointed out some great places. I was impressed that the groups are small and friendly and would urge anyone considering this tour to do so even if they are not a regular cyclist. It was flat, slow paced and no effort was required so anyone could do the tour. Totonto is very cycle friendly - just beware of tram tracks! Recommended way to see the city
- M D00Nice afternoonIt was a nice afternoon, the girls went very friendly and each place explained history and took a photo. The view in the afternoon is beautiful. I recommend it.
- lrod3800Spectacular Toronto SunsetAn excellent way to spend an evening. Tour lasts 3 hours. The bikes are in great condition and easy to ride and each bike has many gears so easy to climb up slopes. Our guide was a lovely Mexican lady and even though English was not her first language, everything she said was easy to understand from the safety briefing and commentary as we rode around the Islands. The views from the islands especially the sunset were awesome.
- Ifeoma O00Nice way to see the city and get some exercise!Great tour! The guide provided comprehensive information. We road all over the city with some of the ride in designated bike paths. Some highlights: riding through neighborhoods like Kensington Park, taking pics at the Toronto sign, quick ride thru Eaton Centre, Sugar Beach and the view of Toronto Island, and the last stop at CN tower. We did have portions of ride off the bike paths and close to traffic. We went with a 13 year old which he was able to manage fine. I'd have been concerned if he had been a couple of years younger. During the summer, I recommend a morning tour due to the heat, by the time we finished (12:30 pm) it was hot! My son's bike had a brake loose, but guides were able to adjust on the spot!
- K41KJdaniels00Tour itself was goodThe bike tour of downtown was enjoyable. The hosts were knowledgeable and friendly. The only critique I have is that they wanted to take too many photos. It was fine at first and appreciated, but after a couple hours of biking I didn’t appreciate being peer pressured into taking photos that only serve as propaganda for their business.
- Bnizzle7600Delightful Downtown Tour!Loved our 3hrs with Keegan, he was terrific sharing knowledge and getting our group of 6 to ALL the places in the tour description. We truly felt like this was one of the best overview tours we’ve done- especially liked the Distillery area. After the tour, we ate at PAI (nearby) excellent Thai food! Only suggestion- although there are signs it’s difficult to find the meeting spot, it’s on a lower floor inside a parking garage- a street location would be better.
- shazzamc04000Very worthwhile and enjoyable cycle tourA brilliant experience which we all fully enjoyed. Very helpful that the guide took group photos and emailed them to us after. It would be helpful in future for tour guides to be more equipped with dining out tips etc.
- 502carriet00Excellent adventure!Don't miss this tour! And Im a 40-something woman who doesnt ride bikes consistently. It's great way to learn about a fun side of Toronto and get away from the city. Islands are interesting and the tour guide Ryan was very informative. Ryan was so safety focused. I informed Ryan that I was not comfortable on city streets. He was accomodating and had me ride in the front. The street riding was minimal and well planned out. He's aware of all the lights and timing. Ferry ride was fun and provided great views. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our bike tour to the Islands. Caitlin was a great guide, handing out extra water when needed and sharing lots of interesting facts along the way. The bikes were very easy to use and the trip was easy to follow - the steepest hill was getting out of the parking garage! Plenty of opportunities to get a nice photograph, and a really interesting place to visit, we definitely recommend for anyone who has a free morning in Toronto. Thanks so much to Caitlin for the great tour!

We did the Island AM tour. The tour was well organized and executed. Three tour guides (Jonathan, Isaac & Kayla) enabled a smooth experience! They were courteous, mindful, and made sure that no one in the group was left behind. Bikes were ready to go when we arrived (selected based on the height information that we provided in the sign-up forms). we were also asked to do a trial run to ensure we were comfortable with our bikes.
The ride to the ferry was smooth and the subsequent guided tour of the Islands was interesting with historical information and stops for some awesome views of the lake and the city.
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour!

We booked this tour after hesitating over the weather as we knew it was going to be cold but we were running out of days in Toronto and really wanted to do it.
The booking process was straight forward and all the necessary information was made available beforehand.
Terrance was very knowledgeable and health and safety was taken very seriously. Together with Marlene they couldn’t do enough to make sure we had everything we needed such as extra gloves, hand warmers and ponchos but it was particularly cold and we needed to keep going to try and get warm. Obviously there’s nothing they could have done to make the weather warmer but you should be aware that none of the cafes or other amenities are open on the island for some time yet.
We did enjoy the cycling and would definitely recommend this trip!

The Toronto Islands Bicycle Tour is a great tour - especially with Mariana as your guide! She was a very conscientious tour guide taking care to safely guide us through the city of Toronto before we boarded the ferry for The Islands where she was informative and attentive. There are a few "hills" to bike up, but for the most part the ride is easy. Learning about The Islands definitely added another perspective to our Toronto trip!

This bicycle tour offered so many highlights! Liam and Stephanie were excellent in going over the history and highlights of the Toronto Islands, as well as in safely guiding us through Toronto's city streets to and from the ferry. There were so many points of interest during the tour, and our guides made the experience fun and informative. They also took pictures of us during our stops, which was very thoughtful. It was an awesome way to start our day, and we learned so much about the area.

Our guided tour of the Toronto Islands by Terence was brilliant. We had a lovely morning cycling all across the islands, hearing about its history up to present day.
The cycling is done at a leisurely pace with Terence ensuring our safety at all times.
Would highly recommend, especially slightly out of tourist season as the islands are almost deserted. You get to see them at their best.

This was a highlight of our trip! The guide Ryan was excellent, the bikes comfortable, and the scenery amazing. He even had water bottles and granola bars! He was patient yet firm with my rambunctious 12 yr old and I felt very safe. Ryan knew SO much about the whole area. Highly recommend this.

Katelyn was an excellent tour guide, kind helpful and patient. She made it so easy to get aquatinted with our bikes, navigating the route to the ferry and getting on the ferry. Biking on the island was fun and beautiful. It was a great way to see the island. The only negative was finding the actual spot to get the bikes.

The office was easy to find (if you followed their instructions) and the bicycles were well maintained and comfortable. As the beginning of the trip was early on a Sat morning, we did not have any trouble navigating through the streets of Toronto at the start. Ferry rides to and fro from the island were seamless. Tour of the island was so-so. There were a few antidotes that were interesting, but the majority of the tour was the same information we had read about online prior to the trip. The return bike trip from the ferry to the office was a little nerve racking as the traffic was heavy. We felt that our guide (Katelyn?) should have been more cautious and stopped at some of the intersections to wait for everyone to catch up. We would have liked a more experienced and professional guide. If we were to bicyle on the island again, I would just take the ferry there and rent the bikes there too. For the price, it wasn't worth having a guide. Just read up on the island first.

Had an absolutely fantastic time! Kaitlyn, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Exploring the city streets and the island was a unique and memorable experience. Even my 3-year-old niece had a blast in the child seat. The morning weather was ideal, and the reduced traffic made the ride even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour!
We only had one problem, Kaitlyn took our family photos on her phone and we forgot to exchange contact information! Not sure how we can retrieve them now but please contact us if you see this!

Any ADA accommodations? I’m sure what the ADA is in Canada.
Is this appropriate for an 8 and 15 year old?

Our kids were 18 and 22 so I would say yes to the 15 year old for sure. I believe they can size a bike for your 8 year old, but I would check with the company to see what they recommend. The Island biking is easy, the biking to/from the ferry in downtown Toronto will require vigilance on everyone's part, but that may be the fun part for an 8-year old.
