My wife and I did a private, two hour city tour last weekend. It was a chilly day, but the sun was bright and the cloudless sky was blue. David, our fabulous guide, led us to the many sights of this delightful city. We saw the Parliament Buildings, several government office buildings, the three rivers that converge at Ottawa, and some local neighborhoods, museums and parks. We pedaled over several bridges and even rode into Québec province. David gave us a good lesson regarding the history of Canada and it’s nation’s capital. He was flexible and tailored the tour to our requests. The bikes were easy to ride and in great shape. We highly recommend a trip with Escape Bicycle Tours.

Highly recommend a bike tour with Escape Bicycle Tours. I did their 3.5 hour tour of Ottawa sights with Nora, our wonderful guide. She led us to many of Ottawa's highlights and stopped frequently to tell us some history and interesting details about the area. I ride my own bike and others used ebikes from Escape. A bike tour is the best way to see many sights in a way that's not possible on door or by car. 5 stars

Such a fab way to get around Ottawa and experience the city. Small group led by an excellent guide ‘Mike the bike’. Plentiful stops to impart information to the group. Would highly recommend.

My wife and I were visiting Ottawa and decided to rent bikes. We were unfamiliar with the area and instead of renting bikes on the street decided to stop into Escape Bicycle to rent an e-bike and a city bike. A nice young lady was at the desk and told us of a few routes that she thought we would enjoy. My wife and I get “lost” easily and we jokingly invited this woman to join us for our ride the following day. Unbeknownst to us she happened to be the owner of the shop. Her name was Maria. Well…. Later that evening I received an email that informed us that she made arrangements to be off work and that she would join us for the ride. Wow!!!! She was so nice and took us for an absolutely beautiful ride alongside the St Lawrence River. I mean…. Can you ask for more than that!!!! The bikes were perfect and were reasonably priced to rent. We can’t thank Maria enough. Just a great experience!!!

We loved our tour with Mike on the Bike! We saw the highlights of Ottawa and got a ton of history of the city and region along the way. Most of the time, you’re on the city’s many miles of bike paths which made the tour much less daunting for these less-seasoned bike riders. Would highly recommend for a fun way to see the city!

We had a great time on the 2 hour express tour. Our guide was Sparky and she was great. Very knowledgeable about the history of the city and the sites we visited. All the staff at Escape bike tours were very friendly and helpful.

Really great tour that takes you to all of the parts of Ottawa that you forgot existed! Recommend the Ebikes for the occasional bikers. We took 10 people and had a great time with Mike.

We had a wonderful afternoon bicycle tour with Denis. He took us by Ottawa’s popular sites including Rideau Canal, National War Museum, Parliament Hill, Notre-Dame Cathedral and much more. We rode through some neighborhoods and got a good overview of this beautiful city. Denis is knowledgeable and personable. Maria, the owner, was accommodating when we needed to change our tour time. I highly recommend this tour. It’s a great way to see the city.

We had an excellent tour of Ottawa using Escape Bicycle Tours. The reception and assistance provided by Maria and her team was first class, and the tour around Ottawa - with our excellent guide Richard - was one of the highlights of our trip to Canada. Both our 19 year old daughter and 12 year old son loved the session as much as we did, having both not been majorly excited when we told them that we would be on a bike for 3.5 hours! The time flew by and the ride was so relaxed and at our own pace. Viewing the city by bike allowed us access to so many different spaces and it was never hard work. We were fortunate that it was a lovely day as well but, nonetheless, I couldn't recommend Escape Bicycle Tours highly enough.

What a great tour of Ottawa! I’m an avid traveller and try to scope out new places by bike as often as possible. David, our guide, was a knowledgable local who led us on a cruisy, safe ride along the canal, through neighborhoods, and past important sites. He gave us a fun and active historical, cultural and architectural review of the city. And we even had time for coffee in Little Italy, delicioso! Efficient bikes, great team, on-time start and end. Let me make it clear that my wife and I are very experienced cyclists (we ride every day at home) and have rented bikes five times while traveling across Canada. So, we're not just some whiny complainers... The so-called comfort bikes we rented today are some of the worst we've ever ridden. The price, on the other hand, is among the highest we've paid. It all started well enough with friendly, service-minded girls who helped us. The black bikes looked decent, well-oiled, pumped up, and adjusted to fit our respective sizes. But, but, but… The frames are far too heavy, and the energy transfer gets swallowed by the bike—you pedal and pedal but go nowhere. The handlebar shredded our hands. The bell was nearly inaudible (and needed often). The brakes screeched but were completely ineffective; a bit dangerous in the hilly terrain. The gears felt either too high or too low, never just right. The saddles were uncomfortable and left us with saddle sores after just 40 km. We are completely wrecked, and a potentially beautiful day in Gatineau has been spoiled. The mission of this review is to make the rental shop aware of these particular bikes—and to warn you as a future renter not to accept the shiny black, so-called comfort bikes. Ask for a different type.

Bike tour was a lot of fun. Our guide, David, was very knowledgeable and friendly. I took the tour with my 6 year old son and he loved it.
