Such a pretty seaside town! The landscape, lighthouse, and village shops are great. Definitely worth the trip.
This was such a pretty seaside village. I have read books from the eastern seaboard and descriptions in print don’t do justice after you actually see it

You have to see Peggy’s Cove
Peggy’s Cove is one of the most picturesque places we have ever seen. The view of the bay and the colors of the town are excellent. This is a great place to visit.

      Beautiful
Lovely well kept area with beautiful scenery. Rocks and lighthouse were very impressive. Lovely man with a highlands flugelhorn was playing for part of the time. Memorable. Had a delicious lobster roll at a little house across the way. Village was absolutely charming with lovely different colored houses dotting the landscape. A must see if you’re in the area.

      Gardens, Peggy's Cove, Titanic Cemetary
Peggy's Cove was so beautiful. The time spent there is just not enough. A stop at the shop that sold maple products is not necessary and takes away from spending more time at Peggy's Cove. The TITANIC CEMETARY was moving and the gardens were beautiful. I enjoyed our guide so much.

Jonathan was a personable guy and did share some interesting facts about Halifax and Peggy's Cove. I was not impressed by his forays into why United States is so wonderful... We're in Canada, for crying out loud!

Excellent tour, our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and places of interest. Only hiccup was the construction going on which made us one hour late returning to our cruise ship. Which didn't leave us any time to do anything else.

Jonathan was a pleasure to work with.
I actually unexpectedly had to cancel day of. Jonathan was a dream to work with to make the administrative changes. You could tell just from the personal touch and understanding that this is the type of small business owner you would want to support. He puts his heart into his business and reflects the friendly East Coast values we all love. Thank you!! C

SO MUCH MORE THAN WE EXPECTED - WONDERFUL TOUR
This tour was so much more than we expected. Our driver/guide Jonathan was absolutely the best. He met us in the parking lot of the pier and immediately we felt this would be a good tour. He knew how to get around traffic in Halifax and did everything he could to make our group of about 25 feel like VIP's. First we were off to the Citadel so we would not miss the changing of the guard and firing of the cannon. He was able to park really close. Then to one of the cemeteries where the graves of passengers and crew of the Titanic were buried. They are now starting to use DNA to identify the unknown who are buried there. We stopped at a shop that sold Peggy's Cove Maple products and were able to pick up some syrup, candies and cookies and have a cup of maple flavored coffee. Last we went to Peggy's Cove to see the little village and famous lighthouse. We were there an hour which was plenty of time to see the lighthouse, visit some shops and grab a lobster roll. Since we had to get back to our ship on time, Jonathan really kept an eye on the clock and got us back in plenty of time to board our ship. It was so important that even though he had a schedule to be sure we saw everything, we did not feel hurried in any way and got back to the ship in plenty of time. This was the best tour we have taken and really appreciate how well Jonathan ran everything. At the end, we found out he is the owner too. If we ever get back to Halifax, we may even take it again. It was that good. Thank you so very much for a wonderful day!

Great value for all day excursion
Great value. All day excursion with decent amount of time to explore. The day of Peggy’s Cove it rained heavily so did not have as much time explore. Good driver. Knowledgeable about the province. Bring a light jacket in the summer just in case and good walking shoes.

      Picturesque Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg
Peggy's Cove is a true Canadian landmark! The town is picture-perfect. A must-see if you are "down east"! Lunenburg is quaint and historical. Recommend the walking tour. Lobster rolls at the Inn are delish!

      Outstanding Winery Visits!
Our tour guide and assistant were fantastic. We had a great visit in each winery - they are very impressive. The staff at each winery were the utmost professional and knowledgeable about their wines, the growing environment and varieties of wines. I’d highly recommend this tour

      Worse tour of our trip
The was the worst tour of our vacation. First off the there were conflicting reports of people on the tour with different times to report so that started the tour 40 minutes late—bad move and should have been a sign. We specifically booked for the reviews of the tour guide Jonathan—we thought he was who we would get and we were under the impression it was a van tour. He emailed us numerous times to the point we were becoming friends and we were very excited about this tour. Well we get on a giant tour bus (not happy) and off we go. It’s a tour that’s to last 5 hours. The second stop we make is to a maple shop. We stop there a bus load of people with one employee and everyone need to use the restroom and wants coffee and souvenirs and one person is doing all of this (running late again besides the start time of 40 minutes). The tour guide is extremely boring, not engaging at all. The Peggy’s Cove stop was adequate but then we stop for lunch and the tour guide and bus driver have to wait tables. On the way back to the cruise terminal half of the bus is sleeping and not listening to the guide and we arrive back 90 minutes late — which is unacceptable. We had other plans which now are cancelled. When I emailed Jonathan Duru (general manager) questioning were we bumped from a private tour to a bus tour and complained; he did not answer the question. Now this is our experience if you like a bus tour where it takes 10 minutes for everyone to get off and then back on and a boring guide then this is for you.

The Best Tour Guide in Halifax
This was my third time putting a group together to tour Halifax Gardens, the Fort, the Titanic gravesite, Peggy's Cove, and wound up at Shaw's Landing for an incredible late lunch. Jonathan Duru is a master story teller, knows Halifax history, as well as the surrounding areas, and I consider his pricing to be very competitive, and about half of what a cruise ship wauld charge. I highly recommend Aberdeen Bus Tours and Jonathan Duru to anyone looking to know more about Halifax and the surrounding area.

As advertised, it’s just beautiful. What’s not advertised are the crowds. It’s a large area, and most of the people are out at the lighthouse. There is plenty of other things to see, including a gift shop, a lobster roll shack, a nice little pewter store, colorful houses, a large rock carving and the huge area of rock formations. See my pictures for creative photography and reality of lighthouse.

A bit of a drag outside Halifax but worth the effort. The views are quite spectacular, from the small harbour with the little boats to the huge expanses of rock stretching into the Atlantic. Many inuksuk’s have been built in the area which does somewhat distract from the natural feeling in the place

If there is one thing the east coast is known for, it's the scenic ocean views - and Peggy's Cove delivers in that aspect. It is a short drive from Halifax. With road construction, it took us nearly an hour to get there, but it's a nice drive.

Once you get there and get to the lighthouse, the scenes are quite breathtaking. Walking out onto the oceanfront rock is a bit of an adventure and workout, but well worth it. Just make sure you take shoes that are comfortable and have grips on the bottom for safety. And a security guard is also on hand to blow his little whistle when people get too close to the wet, slippery rocks. He's there to make sure no one falls in, which is a real danger. So, if he's blowing the whistle in your direction, he's doing it for your safety.

The one thing that really disappointed us while we were at the east coast gem were the businesses in the area. To put this as nicely as possible: They gouge visitors with unreasonably high prices for everything and anything.

We wanted to try the lobster rolls we had read so much about online before going. Tom's Lobster Shack is located steps from the lighthouse and it supposedly the place to go, so we did. What did we get? Ripped off. That's what we got. We ordered the Classic Roll with a can of pop. Those two items alone cost us more than $30 - and they wanted a tip on top of that! We figured it must be one hell of a item. What we got was an under seasoned roll that was mostly mayo. There were a few chunks of lobster meat on a sad little bun that needed a lot more toasting. The order also came with a very underwhelming amount of potato chips. For $30-plus, we expect a whole lot more. We felt very ripped off. I would suggest avoiding this shack. It's overhyped and overpriced. They know there is no competition out there, so they can charge a lot more money for what they are serving. It's disappointing and, quite frankly, insulting to be charged so much for so little and lacking in any real flavour or substance. But, as long as people like me have it on the bucketlist, they'll take full advantage.

And the gouging didn't stop there. We walked into a number of shops. We love to support local businesses and small business owners, but these people, too, are taking advantage of tourists. I wanted to buy an xmas ornament from one of them. Problem ws, they were charging more than $20 for $5 ornaments. It was little wonder very few people were actually making purchases.

It was the greed of these business owners that really put a damper on what should have been a really nice visit.

This village is super cute and what a delight for the eyes! I wish it wasn’t so busy but I don’t suppose that’s reasonable to expect of a major tourist destination.

Very picturesque but also very crowded in mid-October. Parking by car was difficult on a Sunday afternoon. The landscapes leading to Peggy's Cove were as good or better than the lighthouse itself.
