Bruce gave my wife & I a fantastic personalized tour of historic Lunenburg, as well as central Halifax & the areas surrounding our travels. He was waiting for us at the pick-up point ahead of time, which meant we had bonus extra touring time. He gave us a full pre-departure briefing using a detailed map which set the scene for our tour & gave us a good idea of what to expect. He had a store-house of information & kept the narration coming.He gave us regular stops for refreshment & restroom stops & impromptu stops including some shopping. He tailored our trip to our interests, mainly photography, history & general interests. He had an in-depth knowledge of many aspects, particularly in historic Lunenburg & points of view that may be unlikely covered by others. We had a very nice lunch in Lunenburg right where he dropped us off for this. Our selected 6 1/2hour tour effectively & efficiently used our time allowed by the cruise ship movements & he made sure we were comfortably returned in time. We have no hesitation in recommending Bruce for a tour of Lunenburg & the Halifax Nova Scotia area generally - do yourself a favour! He gives really outstanding value for money & is such a personable driver & guide. I took over 200 photos of this tour which is many more than average & look forward to processing them from RAW format.

Out tour of Lunenburg, Mahone Bay and Peggy's Cove (amongst other places) was just fabulous. Bruce was very informative and caring - making sure we got regular stops for coffees and restrooms etc. Plenty time where we could stroll about in various places too - meaning a great mixture of Bruce showing us photo opportunities etc. and us being able to explore a little, get coffee and take more photos! The day was about 11 and a half hours long - which sounds a long time - but it flew as it was son interesting and the scenery was just amazing! Would thoroughly recommend Bruce to anyone wanting a tour of the Halifax NS area! If and when we visit Halifax again we'll be booking Bruce again for a different adventure!

Get to see a lot with this tour. Bruce is very well organized exactly what you will see. If you love instagram photos, you will love this tour. Bruce will point out exact photo shots for you to take but not a lot of flexibility to take other photos or do more things. If you are good to go with the flow and want to see a lot, this is a great tour, along with a great value.

The tour was fantastic; well thought of and thoroughly planned. We enjoyed our time at Lunenberg, Peggy’s cove and Mahone Bay. Bruce is very punctual, considerate and knowledgeable. He covered small details about the place in such a short time. Overall very happy.

We had a very thorough tour and visited everywhere in between Lunenburg, Mahone Bay and Peggy's Cove. It was an 11 hour day! Bruce is very knowledgeable and provided lots of opportunities for photos.

We arrived via cruise ship and Bruce met us on time at the terminal and was very organized and thorough. Word of caution is that this is a long day so watch your time if you have a deadline to be concerned about. Bruce was very accommodating and adjusted the schedule to basically cover everything and still return to the city with no issues. It was a very enjoyable day.

Bruce was an excellent tour driver. You travel in his mini van. Four of us went to Peggy’s Cove and Luenberg for one of the best most informational and fun tours ever. This was not a cheap tour and worth every penny! Highly, highly recommend!!!

My wife and I had a private tour of 10+ hours. Bruce met us at our hotel where he gave us an overview of the tour and then drove us around some key spots in Halifax before heading for Lunenburg, a 1 1/2 hour drive. Along the way Bruce was a great source of information which made the drive pass by quickly. At Lunenburg and throughout the day thru Mahone Bay, Chester and Peggy's Cove Bruce stopped at numerous sites for photo ops and background history. Bruce has a wealth of information on Nova Scotia and it's history, culture, industries and more, as well as on Canada. If 10 hours + is too long for you then ask Bruce to reduce some stops and photo ops BUT do not miss out on this fabulous tour!

Bruce picked my wife and I up at our AIRbnb in Halifax and drove us to lunenburg, blue rocks, mahone bay, peggys cove, and back to the airport. This was a Private Tour that took ten hours. Bruce is very polite and knowledgeable about the area. Even just making small talk with him while we drove down the highway was a breeze. The day was fairly priced especially considering the price of gas and driving over 300kms. We gave him a hefty tip which he definitely deserved. I would recommend Bruces Tours to anyone travelling to Halifax

Our family of 5 had a wonderful tour with Bruce. First, it was very easy to reserve. We emailed for information and he responded quickly - he built our own tour based on what we wanted to see. When we opted to move the tour up a day, due to poor weather, he obliged right away. We certainly had a busy itinerary - about 11 hours but it went by fast. It felt like less of a series of destinations, as many of the large tour companies do. The first stop is where it was clear to me that we chose our tour properly. Most go directly into Lunenburg, but Bruce first took us to a peaceful golf course across the harbour to get a view of the town and have a family picture. Then back in the vehicle and off to the town - he provided lots of explanations, many opportunities for photos and to get out and discover on our own along our drive from Lunenburg to Mahone Bay, Blue Rocks, Peggy's Cove and then back to our hotel. There were many times where Bruce took us off the main road to find amazing vantage points and views. This was deeply appreciated. He carefully wrote down each and every photo stop for our records. The tour was peppered with lots of interesting insider information and unexpected things to see: a piece of the Berlin Wall. Lunenburg bump windows in the town, a drive to Oak Island to learn about treasure buried there, a chance to observe fisherman and lobster boats close up...and so much more. Many longer stops along the way to grab a snack, explore local communities, and admire the beauty of nature along the coast. Highly recommended - it felt like a personalized tour. Bruce was on our schedule - not his - which made it more relaxed and enjoyable too.

We thoroughly enjoyed Bruce's tour of Nova Scotia while on a cruise ship stop in June 2018. He knows his territory, and it's obvious he loves it. We wish we would have had more time to tour with him. We highly recommend him!

My husband and I are visiting Halifax for the first time with friends. Peggy’s Cove was on our bucket list. I usually read reviews before I book my tours. Bruce Tours didn’t have many reviews on Viator, but I had a good feeling about it after reading the description of the tour. I am glad I made this decision! We were welcomed by Bruce, a lovely man with a warm personality and a huge smile. He greeted us in a spotless and comfortable mini van with complimentary water bottles. He loves his work and he managed to share his enthusiasm with us. The itinerary was very well thought out, combining leisure time with activity. We took Bruce's tour of the Bay of Fundy the long weekend in September 2018 it was perfect! Bruce goes above and beyond!! He timed everything perfect for us to see. He gave us a list of the places we saw. A year has gone and we still talk about what a great day we had with Bruce.

Bruce was fantastic. I highly recommend him to anyone who is interested in visiting the Bay of Fundy. Bruce knew the best places to take pictures and wrote down in order all the stops so that when we got home and we were looking at our pictures we would know when and where they were taken. You can tell he research the area so that he can take his customers to all the best stops along the Bay of Fundy. The tour was a little over 6 hours, but the time flew by. We were on a cruise, but the ship did not have any excursions to Bay of Fundy. Do not be afraid to step away from ship excursions and use locals. Bruce was the best and very reasonable. So glad I found him on trip advisor. Thank you Bruce for your time and for sharing your knowledge of the area with us.
