He prepared us for what we would encounter on the road- hills, turns, etc. The stop at Moosehead brewery was the perfect almost ending to the tour. - melanielO8575UL0 contributionsGreat way to introduce oneself to Saint JohnMy husband and I visited Saint John and decided to do both the bike tour on Saturday and the River Relics kayak tour on Sunday. Unfortunately, the bike tour on Saturday was rained out, but Wanda was kind enough to re-book us for Sunday. Darren was our guide for BOTH tours (long day for him!) and he was absolutely fantastic. We had a wonderful time. The bike tour was very informative and Darren knew an astounding amount of information (covering everything from geology to history to economics and more) and the bike ended at Moosehead with some refreshing, cold beers. Our kayak tour was even better. We saw bald eagles, a seal, pre-Cambrian fossils, and many jumping fish - not to mention a gorgeous sunset. Darren once again was full of helpful information which we appreciated. If we return to Saint John in the future (and we hope we do), we will definitely book more tours with Go Fundy.Written June 17, 2024

He was fun, easy to talk to, informative, and always had our safety in mind. The bikes were in good condition, and the riding was great exercise. Went on the Kayak Relic tour at 9 am on a beautiful morning St John, New Brunswick. We walked a little less than 4 miles from the cruise terminal. It only took us an hour and 40 minutes. We followed an easy route by the bay, past the Reversing Waters, and beautiful neighborhoods to Dominion Park Beach. We saw a dozen deer on the way. Darren took us on a wonderful paddle. He had everything we needed. We saw a whole family of bald eagles in their nest, sitting on rocks on the beach and flying over the river. We enjoyed his knowledge and experience. He was so kind to drive us back for the cruise terminal. Also we scheduled the wrong date and they were kind enough to change it for us. I highly recommend this excursion.

We had a fantastic kayaking tour with our guide, Darren. He knows so much about the area. We had perfect weather, so he extended the tour so we could take advantage of it. We even spotted a few bald eagles and a couple of seals.

We enjoyed an extraordinary Trip with Darren yesterday morning on the river. Blue sky, calm water, perfect. We were just three people, including our guide...
The Tour followed the shore....we saw fossiles, adult and juvenile hawks, even seals...
...Darren is a great guy, open minded and He knows a lot about the history and the nature of the area.
My daughter (12) and me had a great time....thank you very, very much!

So, we booked our kayaking adventure during our St. John port day from a cruise. When I tried to book originally, the cruise line was booked up, so I called Wanda at River Relics and was able to book our day for 4 directly. She was SO nice and helpful. Gave us great advice for getting a taxi off the cruise ship and got there where Darren was waiting for us to begin our tour. He was so nice and knowledgeable about all questions we asked. He was super sweet and respectful to myself, who is not too agile on getting in or out of the kayak. We saw 4 bald eagles and their nest. One flew directly over the water in front of us. Kayaking by fossils and bald eagles in a light misty rain was one of our favorite memories of our cruise. Thank you, Darren, for your knowledge, expertise, helpfulness and humor. Wanda then helped us find out way back to our cruise ship and explained to us all about The Reversing Falls due to the 50' tide that comes in and out every day. Fascinating. Such a spectacular day! Thank you River Relics, Wanda and Darren!
