About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- NotaSucker0 contributionsIs it a scam or just incompetence?I was looking forward to this self-guided tour, but it has not worked. I downloaded the app, but it did not accept the code. I called for assistance and was told that “sometimes the wrong link is sent.” I was promised that a correct link would be texted to me within two minutes. Hours later, it has not arrived. The link to cancel did not work.Written April 26, 2024
- robhF8874XB0 contributionsAd blocker would have eliminated the entire contentWell, the price was cheap enough. But it felt more like a series of ads for local businesses instead of a tour of interesting places and interesting facts. Loved the tech experience but the content was lik e an hour of pip up adsWritten June 29, 2023
- justjamesny0 contributionsGood Tech, Poor ContentThe good: the technology worked well. It was fun to approach a stop and have the guide start talking, and the planned route had some interesting sites. The bad: many of the stops on the tour were stores, and the description was entirely a sales pitch; there was little historical information about either neighborhood we visited; one of the stops was at a novelty store that was no longer there; and short of buying a self-driving car for the first time, there is no reason for anything to require FOUR separate tutorial sessions. Also, we listened to the first two stop descriptions as we started the tour, and then, as we started walking, got to hear them again. It would be cool if the tutorial app was smart enough to know what you'd already heard.Written June 27, 2023
- S9763ASmarcs0 contributionsFun Winnipeg Activity! Was kind of fun, being local. A little strange to have stops which weren't actual places, they were other areas around winnipeg. But all in all, still a fun thing to do at the price.Written June 21, 2023
- RandyT2590 contributionsFun Winnipeg tourThis tour, Winnipeg’s wealthy beginnings, was very informative, as well as entertaining. I would definitely recommend it!Written January 1, 2021
- MaryLoverLiferMary0 contributionsFun way to get out for a few hoursWe've done a couple of the tours now, thanks to Covid had a bit of extra time on our hands. Guides were great, tours were informative, but not too historically heavy. Will do a few more for sure.Written November 27, 2020

This self guided audio tour was very good - you can download it in advance so that you don't have to use data during the tour. Worked smoothly and was very illuminating. Has benefit of being able to stop start to suit coffee breaks etc. As you get close to each point of interest the tour recognises it and delivers commentary for that spot. I also used two other tours of theirs - Assiniboine park, and Winnipeg theatre district - both equally good. good value for money

Very easy to use - clear commentary …. All my questions answered as I strolled along
Only criticism - pronunciation of ‘kilometres’ which should rhyme with ‘pillowbeater’ …….
Will take another tour if it warms up again during my visit.

Situated on bank of Red River, there are information boards on the slope down to the river. The Forks Market was basically a food hall with a few shops. Can't seem to get fresh fruit anywhere except an out of town supermarket.
