- Debra G0 contributionsAn awesome experienceI’ve personally never driven anything other than a car so I was a little nervous for the snowmobiling. Immediately after meeting our wonderful tour guides Alejandro & Katelin, my nerves were settled and the fun began. The enthusiasm from our guides meant our small group of 5 had a wonderful, fun and exciting experience!! We stopped for photos up past Excalibur Gondola and the view, the peacefulness and sheer atmosphere as nightfall came was unbelievable and breathtaking!!! I will absolutely recommend this tour WITH ALEJANDRO & KATELIN to anybody looking for something unique and enjoyable!!!Written February 4, 2025

- KURE0200 contributionsBrock was the bestBEST experience ever with Brock. We had a group of 6 who had never snowmobiled, and by the end we felt like pros. He was a great instructor and added the perfect amount of humor. The breakfast at the cabin was incredible and the heated handles were excellent. Would highly recommend and you are lucky if you get Brock!Written February 2, 2025
- brockmullen0 contributionsSo fun!Brandan was amazing and so was the tour! Super easy logistics and the tour was really fun. The trail is well maintained and the equipment was good. Only thing to note is that the check-in desk/office is below ground level so you'll need to go downstairs for check-in.Written February 1, 2025

He was very professional as he took us through how to operate the snowmobile while still being friendly and entertaining. We had beautiful sunny weather which only added to the enjoyment of the ride. The trails through the mountains were beautiful and we had the opportunity to take lots of pictures. It was my first time snowmobiling, eventhough I was very nervous at the beginning after a couple of minutes I was enjoying every part of the tour. Food was excellent thanks to all the team in the Crystal Hut. 💯% recommended! They will provide goggles, helmet, boots and jackets if you need them. Wear warm clothes.Written January 31, 2025

They have a couple of kayaks that my wife and I took out. We had a blast with a few other couples teaching us new curse words from down under and across the pond. Collin the guide was great, he even hopped in the river to fish out some trash I managed to maneuver out of the center channel.
You start at Alta Lake learning your vessel. Then you head down a narrow stream, there are a couple low areas you need to work your way over, like the newly made beaver dam. With the kayak paddle you had to watch it or you got hung up in bushes, very narrow in spots. The water is swift so you need to 'drift' around the curves. You get to a very narrow point where you have to decide if you are willing to risk getting hung up in the 'sticks'. Walked along where we would have to portage...we risked it, no one tipped over, the canoes did not get hung up too often. Much better to float than carry the boats.
Then the stream combines with another river that is glacial fed, the water gets much colder. You continue to meander down near Green Lake where your adventure ends, wishing it went just a bit longer.
I forgot to mention the scenery, beautiful spring day with backdrops of granite snow-capped mountains, with ducks, trees and lots of lilly flowers.
We'd do it again without hesitation. Spend your time on this adventure you won't regret it.

As a first-time canoer, Ally did a phenomenal job as a guide and was highly supportive and instructive in "steering" us onto the right track, even in dealing with shallow waters and natural obstructions. The scenery on the canoe trip itself was also quite breathtaking (the weather for the trip was ideal). Got a bit wet at some points, but it was an entirely acceptable part of the experience. Would gladly embark on another canoe voyage with Ally and Andy again.

The Canoe Tour was so much fun and the scenery was beautiful! Ally and her Scottish co-worker lead our tour and did a great job making sure everyone felt comfortable in the canoe before we ventured across the lake to the river. They were very enthusiastic and full of information about the area. We highly recommend this tour and would do it again!

We had a great trip with another couple and instructor Tom. He gave a demonstration and let us practise our canoeing on Alta lake to make us feel at ease before going on the river. Tom was really friendly and knowledgeable, and taught us some local history and pointed out the wildlife as we went along, and also took some photos of us out on the lake which are a great momento of our holiday. Thanks!

We are regular visitors to Whistler during all seasons and our boys have been asking to do the River of Golden Dreams for years. We finally made it out this visit and couldn't have had a better experience. Our guide, Talia, was amazing! She took the boys in her canoe and they had so much fun learning to paddle and fun facts about the surrounding area. My husband and I were in the other canoe and had a great time too. The tour began with some paddling lessons/practice in a sheltered "lake" and then once we were confident we paddled across Alta Lake and into the river. It was a wonderful day and Talia's expertise and guidance really helped make the most of the experience.

What an incredible experience. A stunning lake surrounded by beautiful mountains. A huge thank you to Zoe our tour guide. She was absolutely amazing with our children aged 10 and 6 who went with her in her canoe. Zoe was very friendly to everyone in the group and knowledgeable about Alta Lake where we did our trip. Highlight of our trip in The Rockies so far.

Expert guide was Talia. Friendly, knowledgeable, great with my children, and tough as nails. Absolutely pain-free canoeing experience through some picturesque views through from Alta Lake to Green Lake. It was the first time paddling (for my children) through some twisty waterways, and they navigated like champs all thanks to Talia. My son was so excited and I was happy to see his golden dreams come true. 100% awesomeness!

What a wonderful trip, I would highly recommend. Ally was fantastic with my two teenagers giving them guidance and remaining so patient (it must have been difficult at times). She deserves a medal and you can tell she really loves her job. She made our trip.
We’ve not laughed as much all holiday especially when my son fell over in the water when trying to move the boat when it got stuck.
It didn’t help that my son admitted he’d been watching a dog in the lake rather than listen to Ally’s instructions up front.
Sorry to the other family that finished much earlier - must have been annoying waiting for us.
Thank you to Branden too for our safe journey to the site and helping with equipment.

We had a fantastic time out at the lake and at river of golden dreams route. The total length was around 3 hours and our tour guide, the fantastic, very helpful, and energetic Ryan, made our tour experience amazing. He went out of his way to get us un-stuck during times where the river was flowing fast and we had been caught in the sand banks. He is amazing, and we had such a great time today. Definitely recommend this tour for all levels of people.

We were on the canoe trip down the river of golden dreams.
Our tour guide Lachie was a caring young person who made sure everyone in a canoe was comfortable and able to manage the river. Having taught us what to do on the water Lachie stayed with us the whole time to offer support and help should we have needed it.
We started off on a calm lake then got into the river which was great fun as there was one section that was fast flowing and twisty, so a bit challenging for us oldies! But I’m happy to say we survived and enjoyed ourselves immensely.
The river is beautiful and the trip was well worth it, well done Lachie for coaching us well and keeping us safe!

My group just went a few weeks ago. One of my friends had foot surgery 11 days before we went. She had a great time canoeing and the guides could not have been more wonderful. They helped her in and out every step of the way. Be sure to bring a bag to loosely put your boot in once you are sitting down. There was quite a bit of splashing. Have fun. It was really pretty.
