The trip was amazing. The crew was very friendly and enthusiastic They knew a lot about the wildlife and had an answer to any question. I saw killer whales, seals, a humpback and a sea otter. And the weather was fantastic.

We had a beautiful sunny October day to go out and see the whales and they didn't disappoint. We saw several pods of Orcas and hump backs - always a magical sight. The safety briefing was excellent and funny- designed to make us take notice I am sure. My only grumble is that I would have liked the guides to have microphones as I could not hear what they were saying if I was in the middle of the boat.

We had so much fun today with the Prince of Whales! Not even half an hour into the tour we already saw so many humpback whales. Other than that we also saw a sea otter and also seals and sea lions! Truly an experience of a life time. Thank you so much to the crew Captain Francois, First mate Gord and Naturalists Sam and Michael for making our experience possible and for enhancing it to the max! In conclusion we’ve learnt a lot of many new things about the sea wildlife in these areas in such a fun and exciting way. We highly recommend the Prince of Whales , Whale watching tour for anyone who wants a thrilling and amazing adventure on the waters!

We saw a lot of Humpback Whales today (8/10/2024). Stella sea lion, California sea lion, very cute sea otter. A pelican and a lot of seagulls. Probably the best whale watch I’ve ever seen. Very informative. Thanks to captain and all the crews Francois, Gord, Sam and Michael. The ship also very good and stable.

I had an incredible time on the Prince of Whales whale watching tour today! We covered 29 nautical miles and were treated to some amazing wildlife sightings, including humpback whales, California sea lions, Steller sea lions, and even a sea otter! The experience was truly unforgettable. A huge thank you to the crew—Captain Francois, First Mate Gord, and the brilliant naturalists Sam and Michael. They were all so knowledgeable and engaging, making the trip not only informative but a lot of fun. They were also very mindful of the animals, making sure we had great views while respecting the environment. The boat was comfortable, and the service was excellent from start to finish. I highly recommend Prince of Whales for anyone looking to have an amazing wildlife adventure around Victoria. Thank you to the whole team for such a memorable day on the water!

I think what made this trip was the fantastic depth of knowledge that our guides had, especially Reid, who OH and I bothered with many questions! She even went and looked up some bird info she was unsure of. We have learned so many incredible facts about Orcas. It was a pretty chilly day but there was plenty of room on board for everyone to sit inside if they wanted to. Although late in the season we saw Orcas and Humpbacks, and we liked the fact that the boats aren't allowed to get too close. The plentiful supply of the free hot chocolate was a bonus too!!! Shout out to guide Connor also, and Eden with her excellent camera work - fantastic that we were all emailed the photos she took on our trip. Oh, and mustn't forget the wonderful sealions, seals and the many seabirds. A very enjoyable afternoon, and a thoroughly professional outfit.

Entertaining and informative tour! Were very lucky with gorgeous weather and plentiful whales both orcas and humpbacks, not to mention sea otter and Harbour seals. Great crew, would thoroughly recommend!

The whale watching trip was fantastic we saw Orcas , Humpback whales and a small island that was full of seals . I highly recommend going on a whale watching adventure with Prince of Whales. The crew was very pleasant and helpfull

Great adventure. Friendly crew. Very skilled crew and captain. We saw whales within 1/2 hr after we set sail. I know it’s not the tours issue but would have been nice to be a bit closer. Recommend to anyone. Thorough enjoyed the day.

We took a trip out to see the whales, without too much expectation, but Wow! We were treated to a spectacular display, first 2 pods of Orcas hunting sea lions together near Bentinck Island. Watched them hunting for over 40 minutes before moving on to Race Rocks and then a little further on we caught sight of a random humpback which led on to 10 more driving fish into ‘bait balls’ to hoover up 😳!! An exceptional crew, Lindsey, Sandy, Aleesia, Reid and Michael. . . all so helpful and knowledgeable that it would be unfair to leave anyone out ! The boat was a pleasure in itself, and facilities were spotless. . . Honestly couldn’t have wished for a better experience. Thank you so much guys, a really special memory to take back home to the UK !!

You can see whales on almost any tour in Victoria I’m sure, but these guys really do care about the animals and are very knowledgable they have a lot of passion for the orcas and humpbacks and it shows in everything they do which is why their the best, great day thanks to Reid, Eden and Connor.

A cracking trip on the afternoon of the 3rd of October. The boat was very clean and piloted expertly by Captain Lindsey and First Mate Sandy. The young crew of Alessia, Reid and Micheal were great, lots of information about the whales we saw, hot drinks and great photos at the end. The 40-yr old Orca called Chainsaw with two notches in his 6’ dorsal fin and how he got them was a highlight. How Orcas hunt sea lions in kelp beds. The Humpback Hammer with the distinctive scratch on his tail fin feeding on bait balls was enthralling and seeing quite a few humpbacks along the way to. The only disappointment was the no-show by Ollie the sea otter. But the weather and sea state had been kind, I’d got some neat photos (which I will try and share with you) so I had a great afternoon. We saw Orcas and Humpbacks. Beautiful day. Cool and knowledgeable guides. Was great to have indoor/outdoor with younger kids. Absolute recommend.

What an amazing day Reid Alesia Michael Sandy and Lindsay made for a marvellous day,although I was disappointed that they forgot the special bridal and saddle for riding the whales, so we just had to settle for learning a ton from the knowledgeable staff and enjoying the well run tour as well as the top notch vessel Highly Highly recommend this tour Mike
