About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- TomH160 contributions45 minute wait! The tour itself is fine although overpriced. Six hours to visit (4) sites seems a bit much? The problem we encountered was with their pickup. We waited (45) minutes at the Gregorian Hotel which is listed on our tickets. If you take the tour make sure you get a confirmation from the local operator as to where they’re going to pick you up? We never received a confirmation that they were going to pick us up at our hotel. The 45 minute wait meant we missed at least 20 minutes of the tour.Written December 10, 2024

- B2510YOtaylorb0 contributionsMagical experienceOverall great trip. A must do day tour. Our guide Rodrigo was great and very informative. The tour moved along in good timing and was well paced. A good overview of the city and some great views. The Capilano bridge park was certainly the highlight. The park area was super cute with holiday lights all around which gave it a Christmas town feel. And after crossing the bridge there’s a spot to walk along a series of smaller bridges that stagger in the trees which were covered in lights and made for cool views and pictures.Written December 1, 2024

- ITRT0 contributionsEnjoyable ItineraryWe booked the Landsea Tours and Adventures Ltd shore excursion “Vancouver City Sightseeing Tour Granville Island and Stanley Park” for our visit to Sitka. Did you know Stanley Park is recognized as one of the great parks? It is Vancouver’s first park and one of its main tourist attractions. Pre-cruise communication with this tour company was excellent. Our tour guide Kaleen provided a good commentary on the highlights of Vancouver City as well as Granville Island. If your travels bring you to Vancouver, I recommend taking this tour with Landsea Tours and Adventures Ltd.Written November 10, 2024

- Gregory N0 contributionsWonderful Tour of VancouverExcellent tour of Vancouver, including stops in Stanley Park and Granville Island. What an incredible public market at Granville, we have never seen so many food booths with such beautiful enticing fresh fare. And the produce is incredible as well... At lunch time there were 3 live musicians playing around the market, and all were outstanding. We liked Granville so much we plan on staying at the hotel on the island next time we come to Vancouver.Written October 27, 2024

Had a wonderful day trip with Grayline Tours to Grouse Mountain & Capilano Suspension Bridge Park Tour. Hotel pickup was with Anthony whose joyful enthusiasm got everyone excited and ready to the handover coach with Tour Guide Graham and driver Larry. Grahams welcoming energy, knowledge, sense of humour, got everyone excited for the trip, which made a wonderful trip more special. For me the highlight was Capilano. After having the courage to cross Suspension Bridge, I then moved onto Treetop walk, back across Suspension bridge to face cliff walk. I would highly recommend Grayline Tours. They ticked all the boxes, great service, informative, and their joy, is contagious.

We had a wonderful day on this tour! Our favorite moments were the treetop walk at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, seeing Coola and Grinder and the raptor/bird show at Grouse Mountain. There was also a wonderful riverside walk at the salmon hatchery that made you feel as though you were in a life-size fairy garden, beautiful mossy tress, ferns and flowers. We had plenty of time at each stop to do all of the activities and even enjoy a good lunch. Our guide Tim was very helpful with itinerary advice and shared many stories about the history of the area and Vancouver in general. Highly recommend this tour!

Good value for money (considering the regular ticket prices for the attractions). Our guide was courteous and on time. We appreciated the hotel pickup/dropoff option. Capilano Bridge was too crowded to appreciate the suspended bridge experience, but that is to be expected from a very touristy attraction. Grouse Mountain is enjoyable if you attend all of the shows offered (lumber jack, birds of prey, seeing the bears) Overall, we recommend this day trip if both Capilano Bridge and Grouse Mountain are on your list, it was a convenient way to see both on the same day.

The day I was booked for this tour the weather was so bad 70% of it was unachievable. At the Capilano Bridge there was a constant downpour, therefore unable to explore the park and the Staff did not implement health and saftey measures at the bridge crossing and were allowing people to cross with umberellas and teenagers to run and jump (disaster waiting to happen). Arrived at Grouse mountain, fog was that thick you could see nothing and all activities and attractions were cancelled therefore sat in the mountain restaurant drying off until it was time to go back. When I got home I applied for some compensation and was given a very disrespectful reply. In my opinion this tour sholud have been cancelled and a reshedule or refund offered.

It was such a shame - we have travelled a long way from England to visit Vancouver and were excited our travel agent had booked us on the North Shore Discovery Tour. However on the day we had a miserable guide called Brent who was not in a good mood. He was anxious about time keeping, so he kept rushing us and bossing us around like school children . The final straw was not allowing time for a lunch break on a 7 hour trip and being rude to me when I asked about stopping for food. My daughter is pregnant so she needed some extra energy. We eventually went to the restaurant at the top of grouse Mountain at 2pm and it was fine, despite Brent saying it would take us 2 hours to be served - absolutely ridiculous! It took us 30 minutes.
If we had been warned about the lunch issue we would have brought our own food, but nowhere was this mentioned to us.
The itinerary was slightly changed so that we went to the suspension bridge first, but this meant we were always short of time. It would have been more sensible to start the tour 30 minutes earlier at 10am so we weren’t always behind schedule. Maybe we wouldn’t then have been reprimanded for being 5 minutes late back to the coach when we needed to go to the washroom!
Anyway the sites themselves were great , particularly the tree walk at the suspension bridge and the bird show at the top of Grouse Mountain.
The gondola was very full, and there were long queues to get on and off, and on normal days I’m sure the view is magnificent. Unfortunately there is a lot of smog at the moment because of the fires.
I would recommend the tour but hope you all have a happier guide.

We are terribly sorry that your party had a poor experience with Brent. We must stress that this is not the sort of experience we provide to our guests, nor the attitude that Brent wishes to convey. We are surprised to receive this sort of feedback about Brent, as he is one of our senior guides, and he strives (sometimes obsessively) to provide a positive and memorable experience for all of his guests as a whole. It was certainly not his intention to convey the feeling of being treated like school children, or being rushed. In trying to ensure the group as a whole were on time, he left you with a negative memory of what sounds like was otherwise an enjoyable day. We are glad that you enjoyed the tree walk, and that the timing of the tour allowed you to see the bird show at Grouse Mountain. There have been past instances of the restaurant at Grouse taking a little too long to serve guests (during very busy days), however, Brent should have gone about providing this information differently. Again, please accept our apologies for not leaving you with a positive memory of your North Shore Discovery Tour. We do hope that you will visit Vancouver again and give us the opportunity to experience the award winning tours that we are known for.

Overall, a disappointing day. On the plus side, the tour guide was cheerful and informative. On the negative side, the hatchery visit was not worthwhile since we could not see any fish at the time of our tour. The bigger frustration was that by the time we got to Grouse Mountain (our last stop) the weather had deteriorated to the point where there was virtually no visibility and heavy rain. Of course, Landsea can’t control the weather – but on the day of our tour a quick check of weather.com showed the weather getting worse as the day went on. I don’t know if Landsea headquarters or the tour guide sets the order of the visits, but I would recommend flexibility and attention to the weather forecast in determining the order of the tour stops.

We had an excellent tour guide who led us on several beautiful and interesting activities. The salmon hatchery was interesting and informative. Everything at the Capilano suspension bridge, cliff walk and tree tops was extremely well done and in very good condition. The Grouse Mountain tram ride was quick and enjoyable with panoramic views of Vancouver below. There were also several interesting activities at the summit. We enjoyed the birds in flight demonstration very much, with demonstrations including a bald Eagle, great horned owl, Harris hawk, vulture and a falcon. The birds were all handled very professionally and a lot of good information was shared about each. We also enjoyed briefly seeing the grizzly bears, but just as they were beginning an afternoon nap. The lumberjack show was humorous and entertaining. It was a full day and a very enjoyable journey!

Steve our guide was hilariously funny! He’s on time, gave us tips Amd information about the place . Grouse mountain is nice although the bears were already napping when we went there. we love the walking tour inside the woods looking down the waterfalls , the gondola ride up to the top and the exciting walk in the capilano bridge . Land sea tours company is efficient, their tour guides are knowledgeable and best of all funny which is a big plus ! Highly recommend getting their tours

What an awesome tour we had with Alex and Land Sea tours. We we picked up at our downtown hotel.
Our guide and driver was Alex. What a nice guy! Land sea is back after 2 years of being locked down due to covid. Alex was just as excited to explore as we were.
First stop was the Capilano River Hatchery. Not the right time of year to see a lot of fish swimming the ladder, but still interesting. Afterwards we took a nice walk through the rainforest to the Dam viewpoint.
Next stop was the Capilano suspension bridge. We spent 90 minutes exploring this popular park and then continued on to Grouse Mountain.
There, we rode a ski gondola to the top. Saw two rescued grizzly bears who just emerged from hibernation and watched a fun lumberjack show.

How wonderful to step on the Capilano Suspension Bridge hanging in mid-air of the forest. The fresh air, birds' singing, full of your eyes is the green of trees and some bridges winding appearing vaguely. The summer here is unbelievable! I just desire I have a vacation in autumn to turn back here. Standing in a tree's chop and taking a large view of forest red in Fall will be an unforgettable memory for anyone. And prepare a nice raincoat along in your journey is necessary to have good captures anytime anywhere.

Just wondering if the animal viewing at grouse Mountain and clifftop / treetop activities are included in the entry or are they an additional fee? Thanks.

The grizzly bear viewing was free at Grouse Mountain. I don’t recall having to pay for anything other than food at Grouse Mountain or at Capilano.
