      Fun over Vancouver
We had a great time. The pilot was polite and professional. He explained the flight.plan and off we went. Don't expect a tour guide. He is a pilot. I sat in co-pilot seat. Everyone was extremely pleased with the excursion.

      Offended by rude assistant
I'm on vacation from England UK Visited Harbour air today to ask about seaplane tours No customer service desks at all, only check in desks which suggest you have a flight already, so you don't know where to ask questions Attempted to ask at a desk after waiting for two assistants to finish talking The lady was very short and unhelpful, basically saying get in the check in queue Was quite offended as usually the customer service in Canada is very good I wouldn't use this company again

      Whole new vantage
Bought this to surprise my wife. She was wowed from start to finish and found the views consistently jaw dropping. The fly by black tusk was especially memorable but the whole thing provides a new vantage on the beauty of Whistler and area.

Awesome trip! Seaplane experience was definitely worth it and time saving. Scenery was really good and Butchart gardens was amazing.

      Day trip to Vancouver Island
We looked at a number of ways to visit Vancouver island and the seaplane over and ferry back was the best option to experience the scenery from the air, land and sea. There was plenty of time in Victoria to see the sites with lunch overlooking the water a highlight. It takes a few hours to walk the streets and waterfront and we took our time.

Best Scenic and quick trip to Butchart Gardens
What a fantastic way to see the Butchart Gardens! For those with limited time, but don’t want to miss seeing these majestic and world renowned gardens, it is the fastest and most scenic way to get there! We left at 11:30 am, were at the gardens within 35 minutes, had enough time to see the gardens and then were back in Vancouver by 3:05 pm. Highly recommended!!

FUN way to travel from Whistler to Vancouver!
During a recent vacation, my wife and I took a small group tour (bus ride) from Vancouver to Whistler. Instead of returning with the tour group, we boarded the Harbour Air seaplane and flew from Whistler to Vancouver. We loved the 30-minute plane ride with stunning views of the snow covered mountains. The take-off and landing was smooth as butter. We highly recommend this seaplane experience!

They take the money and run
Disappointing visit to Victoria this past Thursday. Missed a plane tour by mere minutes (ferry was delayed) and they wouldn’t refund the money or exchange the trip. I was literally parking my car, my Step Dad asked for them to hold off for one more minute, they said no, and closed the doors. I love that for us! I know rules are rules and can appreciate a structure, but to not transfer our $801 tour for the next available one just floored me. HarbourAir’s inability to be accommodating, understanding and flexible feels so disingenuous. They already had our money (no refunds, gotcha), they had available seats (cool, let’s go) but refused to be flexible. So much for the excellent customer service HarbourAir claims to provide. Clearly they need our $801 that was saved up, more than we do. I have learned a hard lesson through this for sure but will make sure to share this experience with others.

      Poor Service
We checked in an hour and a half early, went to the pub to wait for our flight. There was one waitress on staff ant the pub and took half an hour to get pay our bill. We spoke to the Harbour Air reception 15 minutes before the flight explaining we would be right there. We got to the flight 10 minutes before take off instead of the 20 minute check in policy. Because we were late, the pilot told the office not to let us onto the plane. We sat and watched for 10 minutes before the plane left. This just goes to show how the pilots take the 20 minute rule seriously and have no sympathy or flexibility. Had to take a $340 taxi ride to Nanaimo to the ferry and didn’t get home until midnight. Needless to say, we were very disappointed in their customer service.

Great experience with plenty of choice
We took the ferry to Victoria from downtown Vancouver which took nearly 6 hours, most of which was spent on busses, so thought we'd check out the return by seaplane Great decision. We went into the terminal and the young lady that helped us was clear and helpful. Flights were pretty regular and (we thought) not too expensive. The return took us about 90-120 minutes, in total, and was a cool, and much quicker, ferry alternative. Our plane was a 12 seater and despite being at the rear (seats are first come first choice) we were able to take some great photos. It was an nice day and take off and landing was as smooth as silk, which may not be the case on other days. We had luggage which cost extra but I'm sure not an issue if you're going on a tour.

‘First come, first serve’ for seat allocation. Worst customer service.
I booked a scenic view tour package with two senior family members, both over the age of 70, and one handicapped individual. We anticipated a pleasant and accommodating experience, as advertised. However, we were met with a lack of consideration for our mobility needs and a seating policy that did not account for the elderly or handicapped passengers. It was disheartening to find that the policy of ‘first come, first serve’ for seat allocation does not take into account the slower pace at which older or handicapped individuals may board the aircraft. As a result, by the time we boarded, all seats with a view were taken, which is the essence of a scenic tour experience. Moreover, the staff’s unwillingness to understand or accommodate our needs was unexpected and upsetting.

This tour is terrific and makes good use of your time
This was an amazing trip that was accomplished easily! I didn't have to worry about making connections and had plenty of time to do all I wanted. The Gardens were FABULOUS, and after touring them I enjoyed Tea there - delicious! The bus driver was terrific and shared a lot of local knowledge. He really elevated the trip and I was lucky to have him both directions. The flight was good and made good use of my time. Harbor Air staff in Vancouver were not friendly, but all went well and it was a very fun flight.

We decided on the day to take a sea plane tour of the city and wow it was amazing. Booking was easy and we opted for the package where you had an audio tour and a drink in the bar afterwards. The views were amazing with plenty of opportunity to take some stunning photos. The flight took off and landed smoothly and the pilot and crew staff very friendly. This is an excellent way to see Vancouver by air and I would highly recommend.

Imagine -dark and tumultuous cloud closing-in on the City. A ray of sunshine streams down and lights our seaplane as it takes off, spray and spume flying! Then this incredible enormous city spread out before us! AMAZING! And the pilot was a great and funny guy too. He swept us over towards Bowen Island, and it too was lit by the sun amidst ominous cloud. There is so much more we want to explore now! Then we were off to the hanging bridge at Kitsilano. We did all the trails and elevated walkways, and then had a picnic before crossing back. It was so serene there...

This was my first time booking a ticket or flying with Harbour Air. I did the Mail Run tour which I thoroughly recommend for anyone who wants to experience multiple takeoffs and landings over breathtaking scenery. I was thoroughly impressed with the company throughout the process, from booking my flight to my flight experience. While Harbour Air initially booked me for the wrong flight day accidentally, they quickly owned up to this mistake and did everything they could to make it right. They responded promptly to each of my emails and calls with different options. They worked with me consistently until I was satisfied with the outcome. That itself would have been impressive enough. The staff at the Harbour Air check-in in Vancouver and Salt Spring Island were equally cordial, professional, and patient with me. I loved the coffee bar and baked goods which were complementary for those with a plane ticket. My pilots were friendly, instructive, and professional, and my flights were breathtaking. I can't wait to return to Vancouver for another opportunity to fly with them.

It was easy to book the experience on-line while in Vancouver even as a UK visitor.
On the day of the experience I followed the signs approaching the Harbour area to the seaplanes’ boarding area where there are sizable premises for check-in with a number of seaplane operators as it serves travel as well as experiences. Check in was quick and easy, ID is necessary. There’s plenty of seating with views of the harbour and complimentary coffee and tea for passengers, a shop selling snacks was doing steady business.

The flight tour itself is fun and engaging, we were met by the pilot at the gate and followed him to the plane, he gave us a quick brief on boarding, seating and seat belts. The pilot and ground crew all give a sense of a safe, competent and experienced operation and the aircraft looks in excellent condition. It’s a honed operation that addresses safety efficiently. It’s quick to board and get seated with the pilot and ground (jetty) crew helping throughout so we were pulling away from the jetty very soon.

A seaplane is a very smooth way to fly, the weather was clear with some sunshine and blue sky so we were lucky. Take off is exciting as with smaller propeller aircraft, the pitch of the engine and the spray from the floats and the speed it covers the water are thrilling and it’s a smooth ride. We had a good 20minutes in the air covering the harbour area heading further out west and back to circle downtown Vancouver before landing. A height in hundreds of feet means quite a lot of detail of buildings, boats, etc is apparent (it was clear weather) with phenomenal views of the extensive Vancouver district which was engaging and compelling, if the flight lasted an hour I wouldn’t have been bored and an aerial view of downtown where I’d been staying the last week rounded off the experience and the visit perfectly. Landing is smooth and we’re back at the mooring jetty in no time. Looking back, it needed about an hour and a quarter for the entire experience keeping to the advised check-in schedule. A really enjoyable experience and a great way to end a week in downtown Vancouver.

They stole $800 from us and gave our tickets to other customers, refused to give us a refund or rebook us on another flight- absolute scam- total crooks who steal money from their “clients” avoid this place like the plague they are unethical and have no qualms about ripping off older ladies. We were in town for the Pacific Dental Conference and heard good things about this tour, paid $800, arrived 18 minutes before our flight and were told that we were 2 minutes too late and they’d given our tickets away (even though there was nothing about a check in time on the confirmation page). You absolutely cannot in good conscience keep our $800 and then give away our seats when we are there ready to get on the plane and refuse to give us a refund. This is highway robbery, do not do business with this company!!

Inside the cabin was very smelly. Gasoline smell all over the cabin. I think seaplane was too old. Harbour Air in Canada has to change or remodel them. At least inside the cabin. We pay $550 for 20 minutes for 3 adults and 1 child.

This thrilling experience meant we were able to see the fantastic skyline of downtown Vancouver, the scenic beauty of the snowy mountains and the stunning views of the Strait and various gulf islands in British Columbia.
The staff were super friendly, inviting and you are even offered complimentary hot drinks and cake whilst you wait in the boarding lounge.
The pilot was also great and made us all feel safe and welcome, also granting us with a chat post flight to tell us of his further travels that day.
As mentioned, the views were breathtaking and it’s a fantastic novelty to fly in a seaplane, something I’d never thought I’d do and 30 minutes felt like just the right amount of time for the experience as well.
    I would definitely recommend!

Absolutely excellent experience ! My partner booked this trip for the two of us, and we were lucky enough to have ‘Sam’ as our pilot for the morning. It was supposed to be a 20 minute tour, but was more like 40 mins. We did get lucky with the weather, as it was a beautiful day, and the views around Vancouver bay, over Stanley Park, and a loop or two over the city, was just superb.

I thoroughly recommend this tour, it’s not cheap but the memories are priceless.

The aircraft and facilities were very well maintained, and safety comes first, which is very reassuring.

If you’re looking for a buzz taking off from the water, and then seeing the beautiful Vancouver bay/city, and then to land back on the bay, then this is a great trip to arrange.

Absolutely incredible experience with Harbour Air on Salt Spring Island. Our 10:30 am flight to Vancouver was canceled due to poor weather. The staff immediately advised us of alternatives including re-booking a later flight and ferry options. We re-booked knowing full well that the 1:20 pm flight may be canceled (and it was). The Harbour Air staff immediately issued us a refund and shuttled us to the ferry. The staff made us feel welcome to stay in the waiting area with coffee and snacks and provided exceptional service. Thank you so much!

It was a beautiful sunny day and we had a chance to see all of downtown as well as part of the outlying area. I highly recommend this trip if you want to see the city from an aerial view as you, get to enjoy the landscape. The trip itself is 30 minutes, but feels longer.
