About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- tanyan7390 contributionsAh-maxingAh-mazing! Our guide drenched my daughter, which made it all worth it. Awesome rapids about 40% of the time. Some of us in our family had done the New River in West Virginia and the Colorado. This was so much better. We all got quite wet. Our knowledgeable guide knew how to get the most wow factor out of the rapids while still keeping us safe.Written July 21, 2024
- zoed3580 contributionsFantastic!Very relaxing white water rafting down the river. The views from the boat were absolutely spectacular! The guides were super lovely and could share all sorts of info about the river and the experience.Written June 24, 2024

- AnnieT3330 contributionsGreat time for teens!Great rafting - quite a lot of 'flat' sections but the rapids were well worth it. Well organised school bus from Banff and friendly staff. The whole process was well planned and clearly thought through.Written August 4, 2022
- Pathfinder587390 contributionsJust do it, it'll be worth it, even if the weather is crap.We drove all the way from the Lake Louise area to do the Sunwapta River Rafting Adventure (the self-drive option). The weather wasn't great that day, a little cold and raining. As with everyone else, we got changed into our wet-suits outside the bus that took us to the starting point. It was a long drive, it was cloudy and cold, and was raining, but it was totally worth it, and we would do it again. Being over age 55, we were clearly the oldest in the group of four full rafts, but it was fine. Our raft leader/guide, Jacob, gave clear instructions and made sure we hit some of the bigger rapids. It was a great day out.Written September 3, 2021
- gladysf8170 contributionsJasper Aug. 2021Great hosts, super friendly and the knew their stuff! We had Rylan as our guide and he was very patient with our first timers and very knowledgeable about rafting and the area. He made our experience fun! This company is very organized and professional, would book with them again.Written August 20, 2021
- Safari647338122740 contributionsMore floating then raftingWe chose this tour because it had the highest class rating and longest time. Pros: the staff, the equipment, the bus was new, they are very hospitable and professional Cons: over half the River time was just floating down a smooth river. Length of bus ride. Minimal technical rapids. No opportunity to swim. Not being emailed the link to trip photos after.Written August 15, 2021
- thebritta2220 contributionsSuper fun dudes & Awesome ExperienceThis was so fun. It was my first time and I got to sit up front with my partner & get totally soaked to the bone. Jordan was funny, fun & overall a good time. In fact all the dudes were awesome with good vibes all around. Shout out to Spencer the driver & photographer for being funny and friendly too- And taking some funny shots of us. Awesome experience & by the end I felt like I wanted to hang with those guys for the rest of our trip!!Written August 7, 2021

- darcym9500 contributionsFabulous Class 3 Sunwapta River Rafting Adventure in JasperWe were recommended to this company by friends, who have done it twice, and they didn't steer us wrong. We enjoyed every minute of our trip and will look forward to going again! Everyone we encountered was professional but also very fun. We felt well prepared and safe when we first set out but we could not have been prepared for the beauty of the trip and the invigorating experience we had. BIG thumbs up to our guide, Jordan, who was just great! Thanks to all involved for giving us a day to remember.Written July 8, 2021

- CRC2800 contributionsMost Fun You Can Have with a Wetsuit On!This trip was simply an amazing amount of fun! I couldn't really say enough good things about the guides... They know what they are doing! While keeping safety for everyone as a main concern, they do so in a way that never detracts from enjoying the experience. The great sense of humor just makes the rafting that much more enjoyable! Andre was our guide on mine and my wife's raft. Imy and Spencer were the other guides in our group. Wonderful people! I highly recommend going with these guys... You won't regret it!Written August 31, 2020

An exciting morning. I went with my daughter. We’ve never rafted before. Our guide, Kate was brilliant and gave us such reassurance and confidence. I’m in my late sixties but it wasn’t too challenging but also very exciting. Go for it. You’ll have a great time. Well organised, very efficient and all round great fun.

Excellent experience. I was looking forward to white water rafting --- the day dawned cold and rainy. But you're going to be wet on the river, right? We were picked up at our hotel and in an intricate set of maneuvers taken to the river --- changed into wet suits (which actually kept us warm) --- then out of the Athabasca River and down the canyon. Raining, raining. Yet wonderful. The "rapids" were kind of small (OK with me, my first time) but great fun and lots of wetness especially in the front. About half-way down the river it stopped raining, and the views were spectacular, misty, beautiful. Wish I'd taken my waterproof camera and would have gotten some great pictures. Kim was our guide --- really helpful. I highly recommend this trip. They did offer us a USB drive with pictures --- of course I got it, $30 Canadian.

Although it was cold and raining (never thought it could be this cold in the beginning of August, but I guess that’s just the mountain weather😄) we had the most wonderful time in this rafting tour:) We have 2 kids, 8 and 12 and we got in a group with another family with 2 kids with similar ages. Everyone went laughing all the way!
The whole crew is tremendously funny, it’s like a comedy show:)) but also very professional and thorough. Despite the weather conditions, we absolutely loved it and everyone had a big smile on their faces on the bus back to Jasper.
A special note to our “captain”, Riley, a gifted entertainer, specially with kids!
Would definitely recommend this crew!

We went on the three hour rafting tour: Athabasca-peek to paddle in june 2018 after a stormy night. There was still quite some wind and rain in the morning as we (my wife and me) were waiting for the bus to pick us up from the RV-parking lot in Jasper.
While the bus was driving us out to Athabasca falls, the guides were doing introduction, disclaim-waivers and told us what to expect: possibility of rain, strong winds an a river about 1m (3 feet) higher than usual due to high water after the warm day before and water that is about 4°C.
While heading into Athabasca falls we encountered several trees that had fallen during the night and were close to the street and then one that was right across the street and caused the bus to stop.
While the guides were trying to clear a way for the boats to be towed beneath the fallen tree we were given some last instructions and changed into our rafting gear: wetsuit, wetboots, rainjacket, gloves, lifevests and hats.
We had to hike the remaining 4-500 m to the starting point while the guides towed the boats for us (we carried them the last 80 or so meters together as the wagon they used for towing was too big, and the groups usually do that anyway.
Here we were swarmed by moskitos...
We took off on an amazing 14-15km (and about 1 hour 35 minute long) ride down the Athabasca river starting shortly after the waterfalls, we all enjoyed it very much, the splashing of water, the rafting, the great scenery along the river and the storys and information our guide told us.
Even the sun was coming out and the rain stopped on this beautiful trip.

Our family overall had a fun time rafting. The crew were professional and cheerful
attitude throughout the trip from start to finish. We didn’t expect to swim in the cold glacier melt river but immediately we were swimming. Lorenzo our guide was an expert and got all of us back into the boat. Recommend to families who want a rafting experience.

Went with my best friend and we had a very good experience and feedback on this tour. Mike and Andre were very friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced in the whole process from trip preparation, going to the river launch site, during the raft, as well they provided a lot of information that that is fascinating about the region-specific's ecology and environment. We actually took the paddle and pictures tour (not listed on the option for the review), but it comes with a lot of information on introduction to photography. Absolutely recommending the trip, worth both the value and for the experience.
