The Moose Hotel and Suites is located on the edge of downtown Banff Avenue across from the Banff High School. Our buses depart from outside of the hotel and are very easy to find. Public transit stops are located steps away. Conveniently located at the Banff Heritage Train Station on Railway Avenue your HopOnBanff bus will depart from directly out front. Public transit stops are located steps away. A HopOnBanff host will be available to check you in on board the bus. Return Location: As a hop-on and hop-off bus tour taking you to many destinations, you can end your tour wherever you like. Get off and stay in Banff, Johnston Canyon, Lake Louise Gondola, Samson Mall, Moraine Lake, or Lake Louise. Final stop will be the Banff Train Station at 5:45pm.

Saw black bears and a grizzly bear with 2 cubs. Be ready to hike at Johnson Canyon 5km hike to the upper falls and back, have about an hour and 40 mins at the stop.

GREAT experience. Got to all the different sites with plenty of time to explore. The guides, Tyler and James were excellent. Our party of 4 all agreed that the guide’s insightful knowledge and recommendations made the day so much more enjoyable. Both guides shared personal history and experiences of Banff. Very informative. Highly recommend this experience

Tyler and James were wonderful! They were both Friendly and engaging throughout the day. We were able to see Johnston Canyon, Moraine Lake, and Lake Louise as well as ride the gondola. We boarded the bus at 7:45am and we’re back to Banff @6pm. Great way to spend a day!

Excellent way to avoid the parking and car chaos. The guides help you plan your day since there is a time schedule that they adhere to. Had plenty of time at Moraine and Louise. Definitely recommend!

The Hop and Hop Off bus is one of the best ways to see Johnson Canyon, Lake Louise, and Lake Moraine. The guides are very helpful in speaking with everyone individually to make sure you have a plan in place for the day. It’s nice being the only school bus because it’s very easy to spot. Most of the other buses all look a like.

We are a big yellow bus and are typically the only one like it going to any of these stops. So it is very easy to spot the Magic School Bus!

The drivers and guides were great. Extremely knowledgeable of the area. They were fun and funny. Very personable. The itinerary was perfect. We had time to walk you the lower falls at Johnston canyon, have lunch at lake louis and see lake moraine. We chose not to do the gondola but had plenty of time to do that as well. Definitely a must do but make sure you know it’s a full day tour. Not your usual hop on hop off bus. But highly recommend!!

If you are staying at a hotel, you may want to ask if they provide free passes to their guests. We stayed at the Fairmont, and they provided us with 3-day passes. I merely to add to ask for additional passes once the 3-day ones expired.

As Q1042BHamyn above stated, there are only 2 places; the Moose Hotel on Banff Ave. (within walking distance of many hotels depending where you stay) or the Railway Station near downtown Banff (free parking), where you can catch the Hop On Banff bus (as of June 2022) Be aware of the time you have to catch the last Samson Mall bus in order to get back into Banff. Check the Hop On Banff website for details as it runs differently than most Hop On Hop Off buses.
Hi, I and my friend plan to visit Banff on Jun 18th, 2022 and we choose the hop on hop off bus. I wonder if the weather at that time will be good enough to hike or not. And is there any of the staffs help us to plan our trip at Banff? Last question, where do they usually pick us up? I did rent an airbnb and I dont know if they will pick me up at my airbnb or I have to go to downtown and wait for their busses. Looking for someone to help me answer these questions! Thanks a lot!!!

Plenty of parking at the rail station. Also you may park all day at the school 1 block across street from Moose Hotel. Parking on sides streets as well if available
Hi! I'm arriving in Banff via the Onit transit bus from Calgary Downtown and the first bus arrives at 9 AM. Can I still take the hop on- hop off? The return bus to Calgary leaves at 6 pm.

They run on time but you might not be able to see everything. As other have said, check their schedule and website. Also you can send them an email with your plans, and they'll respond promptly. Also, I think they only run thru the end of September
We are staying in The Rimrock hotel resort on the 10/09/2019 where is the nearest pick up point to do the hop on hop of bus as we have bookings for the Banff gondolier on the same day any advise please for two young at heart senior citizens

Moose Hotel and train station. Neither close to Rimrock. If you are not driving, then use the ROAM bus (hotel should give you a free pass good for your stay) which has a stop at your hotel and very near either train station or Moose. If you are looking to go to the Banff gondola by bus, the Roam bus would be the way to go and it's free with the pass. The Hop on Hop off bus takes you to some distant places.

They are very flexible and you can start later if you want. To do it all justice it is well worth starting early, especially if you want to do the canyon as that gets very busy later on.
