      Awesome experience!
We had an awesome experience! Our guide, Jake, was very nice and funny. He gave us detailed descriptions of mountains and their history. The lakes were beautiful and we got to spend time taking pictures and enjoying the view. We got to stop and get off the bus to see the castle mountain. Overall, it was great and I would recommend it to everyone.

Amazing Experience with Discover Banff Tours (Jake)
I have done a lot of tours across the world but Jake, our guide was the best I have come across. He’s fun so you will never get bored and oh man he is knowledgeable. I don’t think I would have learned half the history about the two lakes, had it not been with him. I would definitely recommend booking with Discover Banff Tours.

      The lakes are amazing.
Wow, what a view of the lakes, have to thank Chloe, our guide, so much, she was brilliant, extremely helpful and helped to get us some great pictures by the lakes. The scenery is as spectacular as expected, we where blown away by how beautiful the lakes and area actually are. One shame was the road works to Lake Louise, but the trip was certainly worth it

Sights to behold, and gaze upon in wonder.
Amazing views and Brianne was an excellent guide. She was very knowledgeable about the area, keeping us entertained along the way with lots of the history of Banff. Our tour included the Gondola experience up the mountain which I would highly recommend to people should they like a view. Plenty of time to take in the scenery and take pictures, a wonderfully leisurely trip that was insightful and helpful to the rest of our stay.

A solo trip to the Banff National Park
This was my first visit to Banff National Park and I barely knew anything about the whereabouts of the hikes and trails. I needed some confidence from a trusted org. This is when I came across the signature hikes of Discover Banff Tours. I booked all 4 of the signature hikes. 1. Larch Valley (Rescheduled to Lake Agnes due to avalanche activity) 2. Stanley Glacier 3. Consolation lakes (Rescheduled to Inkpots due to bear activity) 4. Plain of six glaciers some of the hikes were rescheduled but undoubtedly, Discover Banff has done a great job in placing an alternative for them. I was informed before the reschedules. Besides, the hike guides are amazing with the information about the flora and fauna of the place and give us some good insight about them. I am glad that I took the tours with Discover Banff. I got to meet wonderful people from different corners of the world. Cheers! Subham

      Very knowledgeable tour guide
I think her name was Anna(?) - she is just from the U.K. this year with a degree in animal behavior, etc. Her wildlife knowledge made the trip extremely interesting especially the explanation about the animal migration and the efforts that have been done to mitigate the effects of fences, etc.

Excellent way to see the lakes
It is impossible to visit the lakes on your own so this tour is a must. Between the restrictions and the crowds you are wasting your effort trying to get there yourself. Besides the guide gives you so much history and background, it makes the time go quickly.

Perfect tour to Lake Louise and Moraine Lake
Our tour guide Bastiaan was excellent, very knowledgeable of the area and didn't rush the group at any time. The tour bus was so comfortable, one of the best I've ever had. We saw all the important sites including Lake Louise and Moraine Lake with complete ease, and avoiding the lines for the shuttles etc. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.

      Grizzly bear spotted!!
Went on an evening wildlife safari. Jake was our driver & guide. Jake explained that he had to step in as other driver was off sick, he joked about it and was quite a fun character. He told us he was considering alternative routes as on occasions there had been not been much success. Much of the success seems to come from customers being observant and shouting out what they have seen. I thought I might have seen a bear and shouted out as such. Jake stopped and we all looked hard and sure enough it was a grizzly! Jake was happy to stay put whilst we all got photos. Jake did great job, but be prepared that unless you are prepared to look hard for yourself, you might miss out on seeing wildlife. We also saw two or three white tailed deer.

Wonderful, relaxing way to visit Lake Louise and Lake Moraine
Wonderful tour! We were picked up from our hotel in Banff, which is a major benefit since we didn’t have to worry about Banff traffic and parking. Our tour guide Briana was lovely and very knowledgeable. She gave us a history of the area and pointed out wildlife along the way. The sites were beautiful. You can no longer visit Lake Moraine in your own vehicle. You must book a tour or purchase a Parks Canada shuttle ticket (which is usually sold out). So if you are planning on visiting Lake Moraine (which is must-see) this tour is a great way of doing it.

      More like a sightsee tour
Wife, I and friends booked Evening Wildlife Safari Tour. Tour description indicates that they will visit hotspots where one may see rocky mountain creatures. Tour guide Oliver picked us up at train station. He drove along paved roads as noted, but at a speed not conducive to scope out “creatures”. The drive up and down Mt Norquay was a waste, as multiple switchbacks and incline made it difficult to sight any creatures. Throughout 2 hours only front of bus people noted creatures, but rear of bus would need to yell, when we stopped, where is animal, left or right (or what time) and what were we looking for. Tour seemed more like Evening sightseeing tour (stopped coming down Mt Norquay and one other place and drove to and from Fairmont Banff Hotel golf course) As to golf course portion, as we stayed at hotel we were advised that course has barrier around same to protect course fairways and greens from being damaged) Tour guide should have driven slower and advised us what to look for as he drove along the hotspots

The glacier on its own is incredible. We took the bus not knowing you can book a walking tour instead which is less harmful to the planet. I heard there is also a local tribe that offers walking tours. I wish we did this. The busses are diesel, so tons of carbon being put out through the day. The glacier ticket adds the skybridge by default, which was something I could happily skip and save 45min or more of my day. After the glacier, the bus takes you to the skywalk. I wouldn’t feel bad if I had just sit in the bus and stayed on to the last stop to go home. Maybe the view is better in snow? We couldn’t figure out why they had done so much to the environment to build that skywalk there in that spot when the view from it is at is a 2.5 on a scale of 1-5. It just didnt feel like a huge drop below bcz it wasn’t waaaay high up.

Bastian (sp?) was such a knowledgeable guide! He shared the history of the areas and seasoned it with some of his own personal experiences as well! The whole experience (even including the provided lunch!) was fantastic. Highlights for us included Bow Lake, walking on the Athabasca glacier, Skywalk and Peyto Lake. Highly recommend!

Hi Rich, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're thrilled to hear that you had a fantastic experience with our knowledgeable guide Bastian! He is a long time local and has a wealth of knowledge about the Canadian Rockies. The Columbia Icefields Parkway tour is an incredible way to explore a part of the Rockies outside of Banff. We are glad to hear the whole experience was fantastic and hope to welcome you on more tours soon.

This day trip was the highlight of our stay in Banff. Roz, our guide and driver was AMAZING!! So lovely, knowledgeable and generous with her time. She stopped for us to see a bear, pointed out other wildlife and chose a beautiful location for our picnic lunch. Absolutely recommend this tour - one of the loveliest days spent in our Canadian adventure!

My daughter (8 years old) and I went to the Glacier with Jeff who is great guy. He was nice and great. We did few stops for a small hike, take pictures. Definitely I recommend to take the tour to go there to learn and visit places that you normally don’t do when you travel by yourself. Jeff, stopped many time to let us to see the bears. Thank you so much.

Hi Trina, Thank you for joining us on the first Columbia Icefields Parkway Tour of the year! We're so glad that you and your daughter were able to join us, and that you enjoyed the tour with Jeff - and even saw some bears. The Icefields Parwkay is just stunning at this time of year as the lakes start to thaw, and we're glad that you found it as special as we do. We hope to see you both back in Banff.

What a day! Every turn in the road was wow never mind the places we stopped off! Our tour guide, Jeff, was extremely knowledgeable and an excellent guide. Bow Lake, Howse Pass, Columba Creek (?), the Athabasca Glacier tour, skywalk. When we thought that there were no more ‘wows’ to be made, we stopped at Peyto Lake. Amazing! Exhausted, exhilarated, well fed (!) and well informed. What a day!

What a day indeed! Jeff sounds like a top-notch guide, leading you to one 'wow' after another. From glaciers to skywalks, and that Peyto Lake finale – absolutely amazing! Here's to many more 'wow' adventures in the future. Cheers to unforgettable journeys and well-fed souls! 🚌🏞️🌟

It was truly an amazing experience. Definitely a once in a life time opportunity. The drivers, Chad and Marc were very professional, knowledgeable and also put some Humor into the mix, making tje experience much more enjoyable (kind of gave me some magic school bus vibes). It's truly a breathtaking view that pictures just don't do it justice. We also had some good luck and had the wonderful privilege to be able to see baby mountain goats while at the Skywalk. Would definitely recommend for all ages.

Had a wonderful trip to the Columbia Icefields with a small group tour. Our guide was Tina, she was very knowledgeable and friendly. I 100% recommend Discover Banff for a more personalised experience and approach, when choosing a company to tour with around Banff.

Our driver (Eli) was great and kept us entertained on the long drive.

While the glacier itself was awesome I really enjoyed the actual drive itself and the stops along the way.

The only negative had nothing to do with this company itself- there is just a few hours where you go from the glacier itself to the skywalk where there is no access to a toilet. The buses leaving the skywalk also had a fair wait but this is a separate party that Banff Discover just partners with for this tour.

Start to finish this was an awesome experience. Our Guide Anicke was prompt pleasant and very organized. She described a great deal of the history and geology of the drive to Jasper on the highway is breathtaking. The stops are well chosen. And once at the Glacier it isn’t once in a lifetime opportunity. I most highly recommend this if you have a day in the area. The tour last about 11 hours. The included lunch is He’s good and the prices at the glacier transfer station are quite high.

We had an amazing day tour with our fellow Aussie Kelsea who is an awesome tour guide. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend!

We loved seeing all the amazing lakes and gorgeous scenery driving out to the Glacier. Once we arrived at the glacier, Tex was our driver, he was a good laugh and very knowledgeable. Even helped us get some amazing fresh water from the Glacier stream which is a must do!
    Highly recommend this tour!!
