This excursion was fun from start to finish. Our guide Luis, boat captain and photographer, Paul were amazing! Luis kept us entertained with stories, jokes and personally hung out with each of us. The boat captain was skilled and Paul took so many beautiful photographs for us to purchase if we wished. The horseback ride was a great experience, especially since it was a small local town business. The snorkeling allowed us to see the colorful fish and lunch on the secluded beach at the end of the trip was delicious. I would love to spend a day with Luis and his partners again..

Had an excellent Sea Safari adventure. Danny, Freddie and Natalia were awesome, very accommodating. The horseback ride to the waterfalls was fun! A swim at the waterfalls was very refreshing. The snorkeling was okay-the water was pretty murky, great grilled lunch with all the drinks you want. Beautiful private beach. Topped a great day off with the best whale breach I’ve ever seen about 50 feet away from the boat! Highly recommend the Sea Safari!

Terrific adventure. Loved small group. Danny and Natalia very helpful and fun. Pilot Fred stopped for one of the best whale sightings I've seen. Horseback ride fun through the jungle to the waterfall. The private beach was lovely, peaceful, quiet, great snorkeling and food.

Compliments to LUIS as our host & guide!!!!!

Horseback Ride : 4 outa 5
Swim at the Falls : 4 outa 5
Snorkeling : total bust the day we were on the trip, small bay barely any fish. No Fins offered to any of us, slow large swells in the bay 2 out 5

Beach Lunch
Be aware you will get wet as you must depart from the speed boat into "panga's" or smaller boat to get to the shore. In our group we had approximatley 8 seniors who had some difficulties as the swells of the waves were extremely strong "bouncing the boat around" at the shore took about 6 guys to try to stabalize the boat to exit & re-enter the boat when leaving. I'm sure if the waves are "gentler" then the transfer is considerably easier and fun.
LUIS was FANTASTIC as he was very safety oriented when all the transfers from boat to boat was happening!!
Meal was average 3 outa 5

Hello Collin, Thank you for sharing your experience on our Sea Safari & Horseback Riding. We are glad to read you had a great time on the horseback ride, swimming at the falls, and we appreciate the comments regarding the service you received from Luis. We also appreciate you mentioned the opportunity areas you encountered during your visit; we welcome all comments since they help us learn and improve. On this tour, we offer snorkeling masks and life vests as the equipment needed for the snorkeling portion in the Bay of Banderas. Again, thank you for your time and visit. We hope to welcome you back in the near future.

This was a perfect way to see the heart of the area. Out tour guide, Daniel, was delightful, knowledgeable, and helpful. The boat ride to the horses came with bonus whale observations. The horseback ride to the waterfall in Qimixto was so enjoyable. Then to a snorkeling spot and on to remote beach for lunch and drinks. Hubby even found a secluded hammock. Nice to soak in the remoteness away from the hustle bustle. What we liked best about this excursion was we didn’t feel rushed at any of the locations and activities. Each location gave us plenty of time to really relax and enjoy. Daniel and crew were top notch. We will probably book this again when we are visiting the area.

Loved it, food was great! Tour started in nuevo vallarta and stopped at puerto vallarta marina to pick up others. From our experience, this feels like time spent on a boat being a taxi (20-30 minutes of precious vacation time picking other people up). Tour was fun, tour guide was Luis and he is a very fun guy, very comical! At the end of the tour ask for a cab with no stops or you'll get a tour of all the resorts on the way back to yours.

Israel was awesome. Fun boat ride, horse back/ burro riding, waterfall adventure with good drinks and food. Snorkeling was amazing and even a beginner could master it. Private Beach with open bar and food was fantastic. Got to see whales breaching on the way back which was an awesome close to a great adventure. Worth the money.

We did several tours with Vallarta Adventures and while those were amazing, this is one that I would definitely pass on. First, while the tour description mentions that you will be on a speedboat, it fails to mention that 3.5 hours of the 5-6 hour tour will be spent riding on said tiny uncomfortable speedboat.

The first place we went to was the "horseback" riding. They don't offer water and instead tell you to "support the local economy" by buying it in the small village that you have to walk through to get to the horses. While there were a few actual (very small) horses, most of them were burros. I got a horse that I nicknamed 'Tumor' because the horse was not in great health whatsoever. Riding through the Mexican mountains, up severely rocky terrain, on a horse that kept rearing up and biting the other horses is about as fun as it sounds.

Once we got to the waterfall, there was a restaurant where they again tell you to support the local economy and encourage you to buy food and drinks. The waterfall is alright. The water is freezing, but it's clean and decent enough to swim in. We were there for approximately 20-30 minutes and then headed back through the town to get back on the boat and head to snorkeling.

After another hour, we snorkeled for 20 minutes. The snorkeling was in a decent spot, nothing compared to Los Arcos. Also, it was only for 20 minutes, so not a lot of time for exploring. After that, we got back on the boat for another 40 minute ride to the buffet portion of the tour.

The buffet was amazing! The food there is really good. It was a beautiful spot overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The downside is that we were there for about an hour and a half, so they had enough time to sell you all the photos they took of the short excursions that we had done that day.

Afterwards, it was another 1+ hour to get back to our drop off point. All in all, I would not do this excursion again. After paying for the excursion itself, they seemed like they wanted you to pay for something at every stop we went to. Also, do not do this excursion if you have any back issues, given the length of time you are on the speedboat and the rocky terrain of the horseback riding portion. The terrain is pretty rough and steep, and the horses try to get a running start to jump over giant boulders that are in the way.

Daniel was our fearless group leader and an awesome guy along with Abel and the other staff. At one point we had to exit off the boat and he specifically gave instructions on the best way to do that and I did not listen. I fell in the water and my custom ray ban glasses go drifting away in the tide. He said are you okay, missing anything? I said yeah, my glasses, but it's my own fault. About an hour later he comes back over to me on the beach before lunch wearing my glasses. He had someone snorkel in the water to find them. I could not believe how kind and out of his way he went. The whole trip was fun, but that service is outstanding. THANKS!!!

My boyfriend and I both agree that this was one of the best excursions we've ever taken! Our guide Joel was lively, funny, and made us feel very comfortable through the whole tour. He knew everything about the area from the locals, to the wild life, I don't know if you can request a specific guide, but we'd definitely recommend him. We were nervous about the horse back riding but the horses were very calm and easy going. Great snorkel gear as well, we've gone snorkeling elsewhere before and had leaky masks which kinda ruined it, but not this time! They provide breakfast before the tour at Vallarta adventures, provide clean drinking water on the boat, and the bbq on the secluded beach was unreal. PLUS and open bar! Definitely worth the money for what you get in a single trip. The trip also had two photographers capturing every awesome detail for us. We didn't want to pull out our phones too much at risk of dropping them (you're in and out the water and moving a lot) so we were very grateful to have shots of these moments; they weren't free, but like everything else on this tour, they were well worth it! Something to note, bring closed toed shoes that can get a little grubby for the ride up to the waterfall, and a few pesos, theres a small shop up there with amazing pico de gallo.
