We went to Secrets Akumal in July 2024. When I wrote my review I did forget one thing. If you are an animal lover you will find one tortoise cat. He comes out around 6pm and he is adorable. He sits by the restaurant the Italian & French. He is very friendly. He does not bother you unless you talk to him or call him over. He is very tame. I started feeding him every night for 6 nights. I would save chicken beef and or fish and bring it to him around 7PM. The night before we were learning he came up to me and sat and meowed. If you go down bring a small bag of cat food and a small bag of treats. He will love you.

Great service! Meet point at airport very easy, contact with office throughout by sms. Very quick to respond, good price point especially if you have lots of people. Vehicles are clean, comfortable and have A/C - very useful in August in Cancun. Don’t hesitate to book these guys if you need a transfer - save all the stopping at each hotel with their shuttle buses.

After arriving at Barcelona airport I spent two hours with easy jet staff putting their hand on my face saying NO ENGLISH as me and my son asked where I could find my transfer coach , finally when we were about to pay for transport I received a phone call from a easy jet representative who realised we hadn’t arrived at our hotel and had a lady in the airport to assist us and put us on the correct coach , after two hours with no air conditioning and feeling incredibly unwell dizzy and sick , in need of food and a drink and some aircon we arrived at the hotel , I got off the coach and my son grabbed the bags from underneath the coach only then did I realise I had left my phone and bag on my seat - please note we were at the very back of the coach , a couple were next to the driver at the front. The hotel immediately contacted the company and easy jet , however they claimed purse was never found although they only made one more stop to a hotel 200 yards away and then back to the depot. Easy jet gave my sons phone a missed call - basically one ring then cut off and an email to say contact the police we can’t do anything to help !!!!! So warning to all PLANA are thief’s and easyJet can not do anything about it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Always dependable, always a pleasant experience after a long flight. Great communication so that the driver is waiting for you when you exit the terminal. Not the cheapest but the best.

Excellent communication throughout our interactions. Drivers spoke excellent English. The Lincoln Navigator was immaculate. Picked us right on time and got us to our destinations quickly and safely. Very easy to book online.

The transportation set up from the airport was perfect, the communication and texts they sent made it so easy. They even sent a picture of the driver and the sign that he would be holding to make it easy for us to find them. The price was very reasonable for how far the resort was from the airport as well. All the same applied to the ride home as well. Excellent service. I will definitely keep you in mind next time we are in Cancun and pass on your information for anyone coming your way. I can’t say enough about how pleasant and professional this company is! Their communication was clear and timely. Their charges were very reasonable. When the pickup van could not park in its usual the driver stood out in that spot and guided us to the van. Using this company took a lot of worry out of my trip and made the whole experience MUCH more pleasant!

Waited over 90 min to our private transport that we prepaid for and never showed. Would NOT recommend them. Went with Canada Transfer instead who helped us out of a jam.

I used to book them for everything and booked all my family coming to visit… They increased their price by 40% within a two week span. Much cheaper options available for the same exact service. I am really disappointed, I enjoyed working with them… Their loss.

They had our flight info but still managed to drop us off at the wrong terminal.I went outside to stop our driver to let him know that we were at the wrong terminal but he didn’t seem to understand and drove away.I understand English is not their first language but if your going to be a an airport driver you should understand the wrong terminal.Maybe he was new.we had to get a cab at a high price to the other terminal.The company called while we were in the taxi saying she was sending him back,which was of no help at this point.

We had an amazing experience with CanaDian Transfers & Tours. Communication was key. They texted with me like you would with a friend. Constant reassurance and updates. I had no doubt that I was in good hands! Will definitely use again.

Clean, and spacious van. Drivers were helpful and provided with any information needed. On time and professionals all the time.

We've used several "limo" services in the past but this one is the best so far... very prompt and absolutely excellent at keeping in touch with customers. WhatsApp messages from booking, then as we touched down, and for pickup. Highly recommended.

STILL IN SHOCK! My wife and baby daughter stayed for a week in Akumal and used Canadian for a private van each way, booked separately. The cost was $100 USD each way. As instructed, I texted the dispatcher upon going through customs so the driver would be waiting for us when we came outside with our luggage. The driver wasn’t there and after texting a few times and waiting, the dispatcher said they “ didn’t see my texts, they were on the phone.” Strange, but ok.. waited 10 minutes and the driver,Julio came. Most other drivers were out there waiting before the passengers came out but ok, no big deal. Julio was very sweet and the ride was pleasant. I tipped Julio $10 USD and said goodbye. The day before we were meant to leave I went online and reserved a private van to the airport for 14:15. I texted the number the day of the ride just to make sure-14:15. 14:10 we are waiting and no van which is a bit strange but ok-I text that we are waiting and after a few minutes the response is that our driver, Julio is on his way. 14:15, 14:20, 14:25 and no Julio. I’m texting all the time and they keep assuring me he’s close and that there’s traffic which is not their fault. Julio arrives at 14:32, 17 minutes late. He apologizes and we go. I text Canadian that this is unprofessional and they say that it’s not their fault. Julio drives fast and we are making up time but hit a huge traffic jam. I realize we will miss our flight. I call the airline and reschedule for the only flight available- the next day at 17:33. Im texting with the dispatcher the whole time and they keep insisting they did nothing wrong. I go online and find a hotel 10 minutes from the airport. The dispatcher tells me I need to pay $35USD EXTRA for Julio to drop us off. Im stunned and say that their being late is costing me $500 USD and this is outrageous. They maintain I must pay abd I tell Julio to take us. When we arrive he shows me the cost in his iPad $135USD I say no and pay him $100 + a $10 USD tip. The ride, in my mind should have been FREE, not more expensive to take me to the hotel that was partly their fault I needed. The dispatcher, Sasha was incredibly arrogant and rude. Don’t use Canadian!!

Booking and communication for our private transfer was smooth and faultless. Unfortunately from arrival everything went downhill!! The driver was not where he was supposed to be, we spent over 30 minutes looking for him and texting whoever was the controller for the vehicles as he was no where to be seen. Thankfully I was able to use my phone as being from the UK this isn’t always easy. We expected to be greeted with a named sign so we knew which vehicle to board, we were told to wait outside a bar at the airport but the driver was parked elsewhere and we had to walk to find him. There was no sign to say our name or advertise that we were actually getting in the right vehicle. It was only getting a text message from the main controller that confirmed the registration number. Once we boarded the run down transfer van the driver drove at the most ridiculous speed to our resort, we were all petrified. I complained and requested that we did not have the same driver on our return journey but the same driver was sent. I will say that he did apologise for driving fast on our arrival but as he was over 30 minutes late picking us up we were still not impressed! Thankfully our flight was delayed so I wasn’t concerned about missing our flight due to the delay. The driver did drive carefully on the return and within the speed limit but the vehicle was dirty and most of the seatbelts did not work. I would not use this company again.
