A very interesting tour with an amazing guide
The tour was interesting and our guide, Rodrigo Rosales, was amazing. He is passionate about history and very knowledgeable. His English is perfect, and he kept us enthralled with his stories about the past and present Mexico. I would highly recommend him.

      Awesome experience
I did a solo tour of Uruapan! Rodrigo was a great guide. Picked me up at my Airbnb and we were off! Very knowledgeable of both sites you visit. He was able to give me the history and facts of both places. I was an English speaker and his English is great! You definitely want Rodrigo with you on any tour! He gave me great recommendations of other tours as well as food around the city! He brought a boxed lunches and cold water which was great on a long day of walking especially this time of year when it’s hot. He was mindful to give you time to take pictures and offered to take some for you! Great guide, awesome tour

      FANTASTIC TOUR AND GUIDE
Rodrigo is a FANTASTIC tour guide! He knows so much about the history of these sites, and he will bring it alive for you. He is an engaging, enthusiastic, interesting conversationalist, and the sites themselves are unique in their own ways. I've traveled all over Mexico and have never seen anything quite like these ancient treasures.

      Fabulous
We were fortunate to have Rodrigo as our guide. He made the trip a joy, showing care and concern for our needs the entire day. The visit to Sierra C. is absolutely worth a vist, and we arrived early so and had the whole place to ourselves. Although the monach population is down by over half, there were still plenty and watching them was mesmerizing. It just doesn't get much better!

      Great time in Michoacan
I already submitted a review on Viator for this tour, but it’s so great that I’m leaving a review here as well! On this tour, we learned a lot about history of Mexico and the state of Michoacan. It allowed us to see more of Michoacan, which would be rather complicated on our own. Rodrigo is a great guide and tour operator, all the places we visited were very worth it. It’s a private tour, which surprised us since there are some group tours in Mexico that would cost you much more than this PRIVATE tour where you get such a knowledge tour guide all to your self to ask any questions you want

      Excellent & Incredible!
I've always been intrigued by Purépecha culture, although my knowledge has been quite porous, but this tour helped me fill the missing gaps. Rodrigo is an incredible tour guide. He's very articulate & answered all my questions about the culture which I appreciate. Next time I'm around in Morelia I will absolutely book another one of Yei Tours

Marvelous Day of the Dead Tour by Rodrigo of Yei Travels
My wife and I had the privilege of joining Rodrigo's "Once a Year Day of the Dead Tour" with Yei Travels, and it was an absolute marvel! Rodrigo's passion for this tradition shone through as he guided us through the beautifully adorned streets, offering insights into the rich cultural significance of Day of the Dead. The vibrant ofrendas, lively Old man dance in Patzcuaro main market, and heartfelt stories truly made this experience unforgettable. Rodrigo's expertise and warm personality made me feel like a part of the celebration. It's a tour we will cherish forever, and we can't thank Rodrigo and Yei Travels enough for such a magical experience.

      Magical journey of Magico Pueblas
My wife and I had the pleasure of embarking on the magical journey to Pátzcuaro, Santa Clara del Cobre, and Tzintzuntzan with Yei Travels and our incredible guide, Rodrigo. The experience exceeded all our expectations. From the picturesque landscapes to the rich cultural immersion, every moment was a delight. Rodrigo's in-depth knowledge and warm personality made the tour truly unforgettable. We explored the vibrant markets of Pátzcuaro, witnessed master craftsmen in Santa Clara del Cobre, and delved into the historical treasures of Tzintzuntzan. We couldn't have asked for a better way to experience the heart of Mexico. Thank you, Yei Travels and Rodrigo, for an incredible adventure!

Amazing tour on a personal level
We did the Morelia tour and Patzcuaro tour with Rodrigo on two separate days. Rodrigo was absolutely amazing and his love for the history around this area makes for great commentary. His tours were very personal and we enjoyed every moment and learned a ton along the way.

If I could give this tour 10 stars I would. Rodrigo was so amazing and informative. Going to Tingambato archeological site was so amazing and he made it super fun. The national park was stunning. Can't wait to book more tours with Yei.

Unique, detailed, & fun tour of Purhépecha & Indigenous Mexican history. Solo female traveler approved!
This tour was amazing!! I had so much fun hearing very intricate details about these sites. Every little detail was thought of and covered. I’ve never learned so much in one day before! I felt very comfortable and looked after as a solo female traveler. I wanted to research this Indigenous history on my own & quickly realized how difficult that would be. This tour took the headache out of attempting to organize that, and I learned more than if I read hundreds of articles myself. Rodrigo of Yei Tours was above and beyond wonderful. He problem solved an issue we encountered very quickly to ensure I was able to see everything. Not to mention having snacks/drinks at the perfect time. He was very knowledgeable with my millions of questions, and never tired of sharing more details. Don’t hesitate, just book! You’ll have an amazing time.

This was an amazing tour with so much history and knowledge from my guide Rodrigo. Highly recommend this tour to see the city of Morelia and to get to know what’s on the inside of many buildings you walk pass. Great way to learn, exercise, and see landmarks with the history story behind the city of Morelia. Thank you Rodrigo for an amazing three hours.

This was a great way to get to know the city center of Morelia. I have to be honest--I only booked accommodation in Morelia because it was the closest major city to the monarch butterfly sanctuaries (which was the main goal of my trip). I didn't realize that Morelia also had a deep, rich history with ancient structures made of limestone. It really kind of felt like we were in Europe. We learned about how the city center of Morelia was built from scratch (not adapted from a conquered city). A lot of the buildings once held the accommodations & schools of the founding fathers of Mexico. I was not super familiar with Mexican history, but this was a super interesting way to start learning about it. It was a very scenic tour. Make sure to bring comfortable shoes, water, snacks, hat, etc. The tour takes place from 10 am to 1 pm. Thank you again, Rodrigo, for a wonderful time!

We had the most wonderful travel experience when we went on Rodrigo’s city tour of Morelia. He is a gifted storyteller and we were captivated by his ability “bring to life” events and people from several centuries of Morelia, Michoacán and Mexican history. Throughout the tour, I just kept imagining him as one of those favorite school teachers who inspires you to pursue that particular subject — in this case, a combination of history, culture, and the arts. We received several excellent recommendations from Rodrigo for restaurants and places to visit. He is a 5+ tour guide and I highly recommend him!

The tour with Rodrigo was fantastic. He is a proud Moreliano who shared lots of great history and stories about the city. I highly recommend this tour to get a deeper cultural understanding and appreciation for the beauty of Morelia. If I had explored Morelia on my own, I would have missed out on so many iconic places that Rodrigo highlighted and recommended on the tour.

We loved our walking tour with Rodrigo yesterday. He has a passion for the history of the town and the country that is infectious. His English is impeccable. He tailored the tour to give us exactly what we needed and were interested in. We now have a much greater understanding of the history of many of the buildings and the beautiful old world architecture the surrounds us here. He took us into buildings we likely would never have known to go in or see on our own. Many thanks Rodrigo for such a wonderful time. We’re highly recommend it.

Wow! We can't say enough about our experience with Rodrigo and the tour.
What a wealth of information. Very personable and fluid English as well.
Rodrigo has the education, history, local experience, and above all passion! He delivers a well layed out and knowledgeable tour experience. We took this tour at the beginning of our stay in Morelia and based on all the information and highlights covered in the tour we were able to go back and revisit a lot of the sites and recommendations made during the tour.
Morelia is a very walk able city and the tour took about three hours and was well paced with opportunities to stop and rest as Rodrigo shared his stories and insight.
We started at the Art Institute of Michoacan which is worth revisiting, headed to Catedral de Morelia, Templo de Santa Rosa de Lima, Palacio Clavijero y Biblioteca Universitaria (worth a revisit for the exhibits), and walked down Main Street past the Aquaducts and ultimately to Santuario de Guadalupe y Exconvento de San Diego.
These are the Major highlights and all the while your were given a history spanning over four centuries and connecting the dots from colonial times to present day - not only in Morelia but the surrounding areas and history. Intriguing!
Along the way Rodrigo pointed out and suggested different restaurants and shopping (Museo del Dulce and the history of Ate and the nuns) was one of the many suggestions.
Do yourself a favor and book this tour - it will not disappoint.

Having lived in Michoacan and traveled on many occasion to Morelia, this was the first time that I joined an actual tour. Take it no expectation were had, as it was what we consider affordable. We assumed because of the cost that it would probably be an honest waste of time. We were wrong, it was was amazing! Every historical site had its own uniqueness and abundance of information.

The tour we averaged about it to be around 15,000 steps for those who wish to track. About 4 hours from beginning to end and all well worth it. You wont be disappointed.

Rodrigo is a great tour guide. We ended up taking three of the YEI tours. We initially signed up for two tours, but after really enjoying the first two, we went for the third tour. He also hooked us up with another guide for the Day of Dead night tours. (His was full). Rodrigo’s knowledge is very good. He pays attention to what you are most interested in and adapts what buildings to see based upon your interests. I highly recommend him. We booked Rodrigo for the Uruapan Tour, Morelia City Tour and the Zona Arqueologica de Coba tour. All three are excellent tours with Rodrigo.

I was lucky enough to have Rodrigo all to myself. We walked throughout the centro while he provided not just facts about Morelia and the beautiful buildings but context. I felt like he really personalized the tour according to my ínterests. I cannot say enough about him or the tour. I am seeing the town through fresh eyes. Outstanding.

Fabulous Tour of the City. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Morelia and provided lots of historical information and details about the architecture and culture of this great colonial city. He also gave recommendations for places to eat, dishes to try, and other sites to see. Well worth the time and money to get familiar with the city before jumping off on your own to explore. Ten stars!! Thank you Rodrigo.
