All the tour guides were amazing people and our driver Mario recommended an amazing seafood restaurant that was the highlight of our food experience. Overall, the stops were very informative and provided us with a glimpse of Baja Californian culture.

      A disappointing tour
The reviews for this tour were excellent, but we left disappointed. Upon pick up the driver seemed confused by our Trip Advisor/Viator confirmation. He asked if we knew what the tour was about, required that I list all of the stops, and seemed skeptical about our lunch confirmation. It took 5 minutes and a phone call before we were let into the van, despite being on his list of confirmed passengers. The tour did give us a chance to see Cabo San Lucas and San Jose, however, be prepared to bring cash to tip not only your tour guide, but the boat driver and the staff at the glass factory and the server at your restaurant... At every turn, there was someone ready to sell us something. Photos on the boat? You can pay for them. Now we'll stop at a jewelry store and they'd like a tip for briefly telling you about pearl harvesting. We'll swing by a tequila tasting--they'd like a tip too. I remain a little confused about the glass factory--we did go to the San Miguel glass factory, but it was down the road from Cabo's Glass Factory, which was pictured in the photos on Trip Advisor. Our lunch was also disappointing. We were the only ones who opted for the lunch, 6 others had scheduled a half-day tour, but it took so long that they boarded the van at 8am and weren't dropped off until 2:15pm. We finally got to San Jose to eat at 2:30pm. Another couple decided not to eat and sat outside to wait for us. It was a gorgeous day and the restaurant was empty, but they sat us inside a tiny room at a corner table. The guide sat with us, but did not eat--between him and the couple sitting outside waiting for us to eat so we could get on with the tour, we felt awkward and rushed--as though we were inconveniencing everyone. Finally, the trip took much longer than anticipated due to the hotel drop-offs between both cities. We boarded at 9am and did not return to downtown Cabo until 4:30pm. The timing was fine with us--we didn't have plans--but a family with a toddler that booked the half-day trip was very frustrated because they'd only packed snacks and milk for their toddler for a half-day, not the full day. All in all, this tour was stressful and not nearly as enjoyable as other reviewers have experienced.

      Great experience with Rancho Tours!
Our experience with Rancho Tours was absolutely great! From the moment of contact with them to book our private tour to Todos Santos, everything was perfect. They were communicative and responsive, which we appreciated. Our driver, Juan Manuel, was so much fun and really made our trip special with his knowledge on many unique and interesting aspects of the area. He also took us to some wonderful points of interest but was flexible on our itinerary. Highly recommend Rancho Tours for this and other many other tours that they offer.

A great day in Todos Santos!
Excellent tour of Todos Santos with Mario today. He gave us interesting information about the cities, communities, and the natural environment along the way to our destination. He was pleasant, patient, and willing to give us extra time, as needed, throughout the day. We enjoyed learning about the culture and history of Todos Santos and much more!

      Many Hours in a Van!!!
Unfortunately I cannot reccomend this tour. It was basically HOURS and HOURS of sitting in a van. It was all about traveling to La Paz - not experiencing La Paz itself. So sad, because it looked like a great town. We stopped at a roadside place on the way and the bathrooms were terrible!! We had to scoop up water into a bucket, haul the bucket to the bathroom (that had 2 stalls, but no doors) to flush the toilets. The van was not roomy and we were pretty crowded (11 people plus the driver/guide) . The road was rough and we banged our knees on the seats in front of us on several occasions. We did not visit any museums in La Paz (mentioned in the description). To be fair, our guide did a good job pointing and describing in English and in Spanish, and we did a quick walk through of the mission, but we were so disappointed not to have any real time in La Paz. We were only given an hour to get out and explore (that began with a stop for a "presentation" at a jewelry store). Our lunch was nothing exciting, but fine - when we finally stopped to eat at 2:30pm. We were picked up at 7:00 am so we were all pretty hungry. We stopped in Todos Santos for 30 minutes on the way back - barely enough time to find and use a bathroom. The tour ended up being 12 hours long (listed on the brochure as approximately 10 hours).

      Well worth it excursion
We had a group of 6 and took the private pontoon with Sergio Medrano as our captain. He was a great tour guide, very informative of the area and answered many questions about Cabo that weren't even part of the water tour. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and plan to go back during whale watching season. I recommend this excursion to anyone going and ask for Sergio as your captain. I promise you will be glad you did!!

      A La Paz day trip
Mario was an amazing guide on our trip to La Paz today. He was full of energy and seemed to genuinely enjoy taking us on the trip. Mario was knowledgeable and was keen to show us this beautiful part of Mexico. We had loads of fun. The trip was well thought out and we thoroughly enjoyed the lunch as well. I highly recommend this trip with Mario as a driver/guide.

Under the Sea with Rancho Tours
Our tour with Dionicio picking us up was great. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. When we arrived at the port we realized we had misunderstood our activities we were supposed to do the glass bottom boat and tour. Instead we were able to upgrade to snorkeling and beach time. This was the most amazing and beautiful snorkeling experience ever. Our snorkeling guide Alejandro was a joy to watch as he provided a customized snorkeling experience. There were4 of us in our group and everyone’s delight at the peaceful underwater show was infectious. I highly recommend the snorkeling and beach experience.

Mr Dog boat tour - avoid this guy! He lies about his rates. Told us the tour for whale watching was 2 hours but only took us out for one hour and then wanted to dump us off at Lovers Beach for the rest of the time.
The whale watching was amazing though!

This Company is Very Unprofessional!! They need to cover my medical bills that I incurred when I was injured on their boat Rancho 4 on January 15th , 2021 while disembarking the boat at Lover's Beach following their Captain's orders. I suffered what would turn out several days after the accident to be a very Serious Shin Laceration and I almost lost my lower leg below the knee due to Cellulitis. I've been speaking to Francisco with Rancho and He told me that since I didn't get treatment immediately following the accident (for which none was offered by Rancho Tours beyond First Aid on the boat by Tony their Captain) that their insurance company is not going to pay for the medical bills incurred by me from going to the Emergency Room 5 days after the accident back in the USA.

This company is not Honorable to say the least and PLEASE BEWARE because they don't do the right thing at the time of unfortunate occurrences. This is not a company that deserves your business because God Forbid anything like this happens again, they can't be Trusted to handle it responsibly or professionally and will leave you responsible for any Medical Bills that are incurred. I have retained a Lawyer but shouldn't have to do it this way if they would just do the Right Thing and pay my Medical Bills.

You have been Warned!! Use another Company, there are many more than this dishonest one.

Cheap way to see El Arco and the beaches, that’s about it. Guide/captain will throw bread or tortillas in the water to attract fish. Horrible for the fish and surrounding marine life. Guide/captain will bark at sea lions to get a reaction and will encourage others to disrupt and bother them. Aggressive guiding up to El Arco blocking others views and photos. Then begs for tips. Worst experience in Cabo. Never seen so much disrespect for the natural marine life.

I'm sorry to hear about your disappointing experience in Cabo. It's essential to support responsible and ethical tourism. Our intentions with Rancho tours is by no means being aggressive nor disrespectful at all. We go by the marine life guidelines of Cabo San Lucas and have been in the tourism industry for over 25 years . Your concern is valid but please take note we would not do anything to harm the environment nor marine life . By choosing such operators, you can enjoy the beauty of El Arco and the beaches while also contributing to the protection of the marine environment. Thank you

Obviously, a beautiful location and worth taking a ride out to Los Arcos to check it out. If you’re prone to seasickness I suggest you take a half a tab a Dramamine because when the boat stops at pelican Island, los Arcos and other places the water can be VERY choppy.

The company promotes Covid safety and we felt good about getting on the boat with one other couple and we were all masked up. However on the way back the driver picked up five millennials from lovers beach who jumped on board with no masks. For a small boat it was too crowded with too many people not wearing their masks. I felt like this was terribly irresponsible of the boat driver.

This was a last minute trip to go out to see the area around the arch. It ended up to be a 25 minute tour....short and sweet. This is a no frills boat and no frills experience. Our captain was pleasant enough but this was a very budget basement experience. Throughing some tortillas in the water to attract fish was his big effort. He did feel us safe. The harbor is nuts!! Boats and people everywhere.
I would suggest a longer and more upscale boat experience.

An easy and enjoyable mini cruise to check out the Arch and Land’s End. My wife and I did not want a complicated tour, so this was a perfect choice. We learned we could have gotten off the boat, spent some time at Pelican Beach and returned on a later boat. Maybe next time we will. Basically, these guys also serve as a water taxi, which is pretty cool.

We did the Glass Bottom Boat tour with Rancho. Miguel picked us up in San Jose and we had a very enjoyable trip to Cabo San Lucas with a city tour and tequila tasting which were not expected but were enjoyable. There was opportunity to make purchases but no pressure. Miguel's knowledge of the area and the history and his good English made it great. The van and the boat were in Excellent condition. Highly recommend.

We loved captain Filipe. He made sure we could see all of the sights we wanted. We got close to seals, fish and pelicans. Very good trip. We signed up for the 11 o’clock tour but were able to go 45 minutes earlier when we showed up. The boat traffic was a lighter earlier in the day. Did not like wearing the life jacket but understood the safety concerns. Would recommend taking this trip to see the beautiful sights around Lands End.

We booked this through TripAdvisor in Canada for $20 a person. Our taxi ride from Riu Palace was $14 plus tip one way. When we got to the Marina we walked past a Visitor Booth where he told us we could get a tour for $7 without a preview of a time share. Thought that was weird but said no thanks. Proceeded to our dock at the right time and had to wait for another 15 minutes. When we got on the boat it was just my friend and I. So we thought that we would have the tour to ourselves and in English. We ended up picking up another group along the way who were Spanish speaking only. The tour guide spoke to them almost the whole trip. He did explain and point out the obvious landmarks but spoke in Spanish first and then English. No time during the boat ride did he ask if we wanted off on Lover's Beach. He should have told us before we went out that he was unable to due to the waves. There wasn't much beach to see anyway. The waves were really high the day we were out there, so it obviously wasn't safe. We would have liked to be told that ahead of time. The original promotion of this should have advertised weather and water conditions permitting.
