Hits the sweet spot where both adults and kids will have good time!
We had a wonderful time on this pirate cruise. The staff/entertainers put on quite a show. The MC has an excellent voice and is funny. Our kids were very enthralled. The food was good. Despite one overly drunk attention-seeking passenger, the production ran smoothly - my girls are still talking about it weeks later. I captured some breathtaking photos of the arch and the sunset. Advice for future cruisers: Let the entertainers entertain; don't try to insert yourself into their show unless invited to participate.

Aaarrr you ready, kids?! Booked this as a gag to take my girlfriend (who lives in Cabo) on a cheesy, eye-roller, touristy experience. It did not disappoint :) While we didn't have big expectations and knew it was going to be full of drunken tourists, we actually had a fantastic time! The crew was very good with their shtick and acrobatics and fire flinging. There were some very cute families with small kids that participated with the pirate show and that was a highlight. The food was fine. The drinks were included so after a couple beers, the show was way more appealing. Make sure to get paper tickets at the terminal station before getting in line or you'll waste time, although being the last on board was actually nice and we got our own bench by the food table (though they consistently passed us by for drinks and food). For the best experience, sit in the middle of the boat by the entrance - that's front row to the show and you'll feel the fire, see all the action and I was even pulled into the fray and danced with a pirate, which is something I definitely didn't expect. While it's an expensive activity ($90 a pop plus $35 if you want two hastily framed photos of your party on board in front of the arch) it definitely makes for a fun night out that you can then check "pirate sunset cruise" off your bucket list. Definitely not something I even need to do again but was glad I went. Though I could do without the spring break soundtrack they played. Shots, shots, shot-shot-shot shots, shots... ugh.

      Highlight of our trip!
This pirate sunset cruise and show was the highlight of our trip for our family! (And we’ve been to Cabo several times) We have an 8 year old and a 19 year old and they both loved it. Entertainment for all ages and the dinner was amazing! We’ve been on other dinner cruises and the food is usually mediocre. This dinner was delicious and a big helping, with an open bar and all kinds of drinks for kids. Lots of fun dancing at the end. We had a blast and would definitely do this pirate sunset cruise again.

Take your leave and go...have a spectacular pirate adventure
This is one of our favorite attractions to visit whenever we come to Cabo San Lucas. I know it is a bit cheesy, but it is open bar, serves a decent meal (best mashed potatoes ever!) and the Pirate shows are always entertaining. The ships are large enough you don't feel too much of the rocking motion from the waves, unlike smaller boats. The music is always fun, and the crew do a great job of attending to every passenger and finding ways to include the guests into the show. Not pretentious and you don't have to dress up. Just show up and enjoy.

Absolutely not safe for young girls. Keep the family away
I wasn't planning on writing a review, however I saw a handful of reviews that the team seems to have buried regarding young women having very uncomfortable experiences with this "key game" they play. Something felt weird about it during the moment, as they were giving a LOT of attention to the 10-14 year old girls on the boat. I thought this was just in an effort to be more family friendly, however I now see their actions in a new light. They throw a key in the water and have you dive for it. They specified only people who can dive 30-40ft down attempt this, yet they encouraged the two young girls on the boat to try anyways. The person doing the game would look into the water while they dived. I thought this as a safety measure, but I also now belive this was an attempt to look at them in vulnerable positions while they were underwater. I came across a review of them isolating a young girl during this key game, and they absolutely seem the type. Their extra attention to young woman is inappropriate and just doesn't sit right with me. I don't know how they've manged to keep those horrible reviews so burried, but belive me keep the family away. Keep your daughters away!

Absolutely not what I was promised in any way
Absolutely horrible! NOTHING LIKE I was promised. There was no “pirate show” it was just a guy with a pirate T-shirt and a microphone who would say “argh” sometimes. Music was very random dance regatone music that was very loud and not friendly for children (full curse words and mature themes). The boat was literally painted black and left in the sun before leaving, and there was like maybe 4X4 feet of shade on the whole boat, so everyone was left to sit on scortching benches in the heat. Service was bare minimum and they were even mean about it, and at the end they had the audacity to announce they were going around to collect tips!!!!! The snorkeling aspect was also horrendous. They took us 30 minutes out to this area promised to have great fish and coral reefs. I saw literally a single fish. The water was so blurry I could barely see 2 feet infront of me. We snorkeled for maybe 30 minutes maximum. I saw more fish just swimming around the beach on my own time. I can’t tell you how disappointed all of the children on the boat were and how much work the parents had to do to keep their kids from losing their minds from boredom/heat/ and disappointment. On top of that, they DOUBLE CHARGED our credit card!!! They said the first transaction didn’t go through and to try again in pesos, but we ended up being charged for both.

      Best experience ever!
The crew was excellent, very friendly, and most important to me was how much fun they were having as well as me. Got to see the captins nest and talk to the captain as well. The food was great. the drinks never stopped unless I did. Would recommend to anyone regardless of age. I would not change a thing about that experience.

      Argh! Pirate life’s for Me
A fun experience to share with loved ones. Pirate show was entertaining and funny. They provide a dinner which consists of BBQ ribs, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and a dinner roll. They have an open bar, so drink up! They will have contests during the sail and of course you get to see the sunset and the famous Cabo Arch.

Great show, great atmosphere, great food, customer friendly. We did this experience several years ago and it has only gotten
Captain shark, baby shark, Christopher columbus and the rest of the crew put on a fantastic show and seved a great meal with cold drinks. They even took extra time so everyone could take pictures of the mother and baby whale that decided to put on a performance for us. Great experience and worth every penny !!!

If I could give this tour a ZERO I would. The Service was terrible, nothing about this tour was convenient for the kids. They had no activity for the kids, even though the tour company sold us on the tour by saying the tour is perfect for kids, that is NO true. The only thing they did for the kids is after we left the port the workers went around the ship and were selling pirate hates and swords for $20-$30 each. The food was awful. We were a big party of 18 people and all of us had horrible time the entire time. The snorkeling was some what ok, the workers threw bread into the ocean and we saw a few small fish. The cherry on top of it all is that towards the end of the tour the captain told all the kids to gather and told them to ask their parents to give them money so we can top them, and if the parents refuse to give them the money that means "your parents do not love you". Can you imagine teaching young kids that. So BEYOND disappointed. Long story short, save your money and spend it elsewhere.

This was the worst event of our entire vacation! They would not let my son go snorkel to the coral reef after trying to talk him out of wanting to go they decided to just tell him no kids allowed. He was so upset it ruined the whole experience for him cried for almost an hour! Than they served a lunch I would expect to get from a prison and no were to set it down to eat so I had to hold both plates for my kids while they ate. Than the entertainment!! They looted tequila from a bottle into men’s mouths screaming shots shots as my kids were wondering why they were doing that! I would like to request a refund and am searching now for the place I go to request one but am trying to help other families in the meantime that might consider this excursion. They should not advertise snorkeling at a coral reef for the family than harass my son trying to scare him into not going than after he refuses to tell them he doesn’t want to go they tell him no kids. I couldn’t wait for the day to be over it was just horrible!!!

Thank you very much for your comments. We are sorry your tour was not what you expected. Our tours have a broad audience and they try to meet a lot of expectations. Our first priority is safety at all times. This is especially important when snorkeling. The first condition to let anyone off the boat to snorkel is to be able to securely fit a lifesaver on them. We are sorry we could not let them off the boat but sincerely it was with their best interest in mind. As for the food and drinks, it is an open bar tour and some adult behavior is expected. We’ll gladly help you out resolve your grievances directly if you send us a mail to info@wildcabotours.com with your information. Looking forward to hear from you.

Can't review them when they cancelled with me via text day prior while I was on cruise ship. Was supposed to be 2/20/24 for Pirate boat. They wanted to either reschedule for Catamarans Cabo Escape or do the Pirate boat on 2/21. Granted we had 2 days in Cabo but already had plans. I asked if the Catamaran was kid friendly since we had 3 kids 7-12. The response I got was, All our tours are family environment, but the best choice for families is The Pirate Boat... I responded I needed to check if I could move my excursion for Wednesday and asked if I was unable to do so if they would be refunding me. They responded that "from our end we are able to reschedule, if you wish to cancel you would have to contact Trip Advisor since I made through them" Long story short I was not able to swap and contacted Trip Advisor and they were great and had to send email to confirm and issued my refund which took about a week. Disappointed they cancelled and even more so that I saw several "Pirate boats" including what I thought was the Buccaneer Queen so no clue what happened.

We did this outing as an excursion with Princess Cruises. Unfortunately, we weren't impressed. The crew worked hard to make it entertaining and we appreciated them. Our cruise included our family with 4 young adults and a group of late 20's, early 30's from Europe. The ship itself was great. The crew could have worn better costumes to be more authentic. The snorkeling was disappointing. The water wasn't very clear and we only saw a few fish that came up to grab bites and then dive down again.

Dear Nickelnicroll, Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience with us, especially regarding the service you received from our team members. In regards to the snorkeling, as you may understand, we cannot control nature or sea conditions and visibility and water conditions can vary as in every part of the world. This depends on so many different factors like currents, swells, and storms. Hopefully, we see you on your next trip with a better visibility day. Warm regards, Buccaneer Queen Tours

Super fun water activity to do with your family. We travel with our 6 years old daughter. The crew was super fun, trying to make everybody welcome and relax. The boat has an open bar and drinks of all kind were offered, all very tasty. We are not big on alcohol so we appreciated they have fruit smoothies, juices and soda as well as all kinds of cocktails. The host was fantastic, entertaining non stop.
The snorkeling part was ok. We couldn’t see much, only few fishes, but all equipment was super clean and the team on the ocean was on top of every participant.
Lunch was tasty and abundant. All in all I recommend the boat ride fir a fun 3 hs.

Predators. Young women please be aware. They had a game that If you found the key in the water you would win a certificate. I happened to win. They proceeded to ask me if I was a good diver and had me take off my life jacket in the water, I dove a couple times to get the key he had on a string but it was difficult due to the water pressure, then told me let’s swim to the side of the boat where it may be more shallow, which of course was not because we are pretty
Far from the beach. I still didn’t have my life jacket, then said let’s go closer to the reefs, gave me back my life jacket and
Used ans a floatie and the two other guys came with with , so three men total, now i am isolated from the group on the other side of the boat where no one can see me. We are far enough away from the boat and far enough away from land. They separated me from group on other side of boat in the water, 3 men with their lifebuoys and fourth staying watch and took my life jacket again and I said why do we have to go way over here and he told me it’s for the experience, and I said well why can’t my Mom and sister be with me and he said come on we are friends, I then said no I don’t know you guys. I look back towards the boat And there was another man looking at us and I asked if we are leaving and he said no and put a thumbs up, as if he was keeping watch. They wanted Me to dive for the key, and in that moment I didn’t want to find out what happened if I dove and came back up, so I said no I don’t care about the key or winning and I swam back with no life jacket to the other side of the boat. It
Wasn’t right and it was weird, my
Gut said something isn’t right. And if any girl who would have been drinking and would not have been a strong swimmer would have been left really vulnerable from all that swimming and diving
. I just think if I came out of the water, two guys could have held me and my
Mouth and the other would have been free to do as he pleased with the other guy keeping watch. We were in the water granted but these guys are good swimmers from doing these
Excursions often with lifebuoys and myself with no life jacket. I don’t know why all three had to come just to watch me
Dive for a key and no one else in the water watching the group. We booked this trip through the little hut on the harbor boardwalk right next to the legends sports bar. Ladies please, I don’t know how long they have been doing this for and I wouldn’t want it to happen again. It wasn’t right.

Awesome experience, highly recommended. From the welcome reception area which happens to be a restaurant and bar (which we bought the Berry Mojito & Black Panter while we waited to board) to the crew, ship, and food we will definitely go again the next time we go to Cabo. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner before we boarded the ship. The crew was very hospitable, the ship was clean and tidy, and everything had its place. We were lucky enough to see humpback whales on our tour which was not even part of it but the captain made it possible. The MC was hilarious and gave a ton of energy which helped the tour. The food was good and plentiful. They took great photos of us at the arch that we ended up purchasing. Due to the hurricane, the water wasn't very clear so we didn't see much fish while we snorkeled. However, it was my daughter's (7) first time ever snorkeling and swimming in the ocean where she couldn't put her feet on the bottom.

Ignacio and his crew were absolutely fantastic. We’ve done many cruises that were strictly ‘booze cruises’ so it was very enjoyable to have an experience the the whole family could enjoy (2 seniors, 2 adults and a 5 and 8 year old). The whales were fantastic and seeing the fish was fun. Lunch was well designed with multiple options. Thoroughly enjoyed by all.

This was a great excursion. The boat is really
Big and spacious, so you’re not right on top each other. The crew was especially nice and helpful. We took an hour ride out to the snorkel area, snorkeled for a while and then got back on the boat for a very nice lunch. The party was flowing from the beginning to the end. Great music, good vibes, and good times!

The MC kept the party alive and the staff worked their behinds off to make sure we had everything and then some. We got to see the Arch, go snorkeling, professional pics were taken, games were played, the DJ kept us moving and the drinks flowing. Hands down a must do when in Cabo!!
