- 1Experience the coolest and most magical town of the southern Baja! There are many beautiful and well known places in Los Cabos area and all Baja, but none of them have such a mystery involved by just listening to its name like Todos Santos or “Todos Los Santos.” Recognized as one of the two Magic Towns of the Baja California Peninsula in 2006. Part of the mystery might have relation with the "Hotel California" located here. Some people relate it with the famous Eagles’ song; which according to a tale, the song was inspired to them while staying in this hotel long time ago. True or false, Todos Santos’ Hotel California is settled in a beautiful hacienda style building and it's a must visit. Todos Santos is located 1 hour away from Cabo San Lucas at the Pacific side coast and it's near from the shore. This colorful town is always in a relaxed state, inviting you to join its exquisite calmness.

- Q2759EFteresae0 contributionsMany Hours in a Van!!!Unfortunately I cannot reccomend this tour. It was basically HOURS and HOURS of sitting in a van. It was all about traveling to La Paz - not experiencing La Paz itself. So sad, because it looked like a great town. We stopped at a roadside place on the way and the bathrooms were terrible!! We had to scoop up water into a bucket, haul the bucket to the bathroom (that had 2 stalls, but no doors) to flush the toilets. The van was not roomy and we were pretty crowded (11 people plus the driver/guide) . The road was rough and we banged our knees on the seats in front of us on several occasions. We did not visit any museums in La Paz (mentioned in the description). To be fair, our guide did a good job pointing and describing in English and in Spanish, and we did a quick walk through of the mission, but we were so disappointed not to have any real time in La Paz. We were only given an hour to get out and explore (that began with a stop for a "presentation" at a jewelry store). Our lunch was nothing exciting, but fine - when we finally stopped to eat at 2:30pm. We were picked up at 7:00 am so we were all pretty hungry. We stopped in Todos Santos for 30 minutes on the way back - barely enough time to find and use a bathroom. The tour ended up being 12 hours long (listed on the brochure as approximately 10 hours).Written September 29, 2024

He was a great tour guide, very informative of the area and answered many questions about Cabo that weren't even part of the water tour. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and plan to go back during whale watching season. I recommend this excursion to anyone going and ask for Sergio as your captain. Trip advisor says there will be a maximum of 8 travelers-this was not the case.
Tour guide Juan was friendly and pointed out some cool things on the drive (like how to tell the age of cacti, some
Ranches, expat areas). The AC was cold and there was a cooler stocked with water, soda, and juice.
The tour didn’t directly follow the schedule or destinations noted …
After picking up 2 other groups of people (11 people on this tour) we went to the blanket “factory.” It was a store (with lovely blankets) and a 3 minute demonstration of how the loom would work.
Next stop: tequila tasting (we had young kids and we don’t really drink tequila, so wasn’t ideal for our crew) - was not clear that this would be a stop on the tour when we booked. There was a little explanation of how tequila was aged, and we could taste a few options.
Then we drove into Todos Santos. The guide pointed out some galleries, drove past the mission and the cultural center (both closed) pointed out a restaurant we should try, and took us to a jewelry store. The store had a long presentation about how pearls are farmed, and we learned about how pearls develop and are harvested. We were shown different pearl types, and one person in our group got a pearl from an oyster (that was cool) and the rest of us got 35% off our purchase, if we made one.
After to pearl presentation, We had about 2 hours 20 minutes to shop and get lunch, in order to be back to the car in time.
We ended up stopping at a candy shop after we all got back together, but some people didn’t have pesos and the shop didn’t take USD or credit cards. Bummer.
All in all, it was fine. I wouldn’t do it with kids, but we made the most of it, and got to see Todos Santos, which is charming and has some delightful shops and restaurants.

Uriel was a friendly and informative guide. It was evident that he loves his country as he willingly shared the history and personal stories. The tour itself was a bit tiresome. Stopped first at a blanket factory- interesting to see but the beautiful goods being sold aren’t all made there as you’re led to believe and they are way overpriced as we discovered later during our shopping “adventure”. Next stop was at the famous Todos sign and then the mission. Stopped at Hotel California and then off to a specific jewelry store for an informative presentation on pearls. Then off to a specific shopping plaza. Here nothing had prices…not my jam. As an American I grew up with “if you have to ask for the price you can’t afford it”. To me an item has a certain value. I don’t want to haggle. Only one shop seemingly had decent prices. Next we went to a predetermined restaurant- but lunch wasn’t included. We were then on our own to shop at other overpriced stores (most without prices). Since we opted out on lunch we had 3 hours to kill. The artwork was amazing but grossly expensive. Met back at the Hotel for a quick insider tour. This was a major tourist trap. Let me stress - our guide was awesome and made the history interesting. Thanks Uriel!

First off Mario was fantastic. He made us feel totally relaxed and at ease while he provided local color, history, current events, and made the trip to Todos Santos speed by. I would have given five stars if it had not been for the amount of time we had remaining to spend in Santos. I felt we spent too much time at the tequila tasting and pearl shop, which was maybe 45 minutes in total. In hindsight I guess we could have just said no thank you or skipped lunch in Todos Santos to enable us to see more of the town.

Our guide Daniel was very knowledgeable (and personable) about the Baja peninsula and gave us good geography and history lessons which I enjoyed. I would have preferred to spend more time in Todos Santos, but we stopped at a rug factory and tequila tasting and then when we arrived we were directed to a jewelry store after visiting the local church. After that we had a tour of the Hotel California and lunch. After lunch we only had 1 hour on our own to see the town, which is very quaint and colorful. I think a little less of the "marketing tour" and more of the city would be my preference.

This tour did accomplish our basic expectations: get us to & from Todos Santos within our cruise port schedule. However, the side stops and excessive heat detracted from the overall outing.
Our driver spoke English well & shared local information during the drive to & around town. Unexpected, and personally unwanted, stops were made en route at a blanket weaver roadside business and at a tequila shop. Although thinly veiled as cultural education opportunities, clearly our driver’s priority was to provide potential customers to the businesses. To add insult to injury, these were open air shops, it was 100° & 75% humidity, and the driver refused to permit those finished or not interested in shopping to remain in the van with AC running. Not my favorite excursion on this vacation.

Went on this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable. Told us some interesting history. Todos Santos is a beautiful town. But the tour itself was overpriced and felt it was more of a shopping tour rather than a culture one. One of the jewelry shops we went to visit tried to rip us off. It was more of how much money they wanted out of us. The tour costs 80 USD. Which again overpriced. I would recommend visiting todos Santos. But would do it independently.

Mata family here !! We traveled on bus with Dioniso and he was very accommodating, sweet and caring the whole time . He gave us a run down of everything around the city and let us explore and go shopping in some of the towns we visited . We wouldn’t have enjoyed this tour as much if it wasn’t for him . The whole bus loved him and had a fun time . Please try it out as it’s definitely a worthy experience :)

Due to a last minute cancellation, me and my mom were the only ones on this tour. Our guide, Juan, was great! Since it was just the two of us on the tour, he catered it more to what we wanted to do. The first stop was the blanket factory. At no time did we feel any pressure to purchase anything, but opted to buy a few things. We decided to skip the tequila tasting and went straight to Todos Santos. We took some time to look around the Mission and Juan explained the history in great detail. Then we went to the pearl store. Again, we didn't feel any pressure to purchase anything, but we still looked around and admired the pieces. Juan then let us roam the town on our end. He made suggestions for lunch and pointed out key points of interests. All in all, it was a great tour. There were a ton of shopping areas and unlike the vendors on the beach in Los Cabos, no one followed us around showing us good. It was a great experience. I'd definitely look into booking with Rancho Tours again :)

The driver was exactly on time picking us up from the hotel. We happened to be the only ones in the vehicle for the day. I have to admit the driving was a little unnerving and it seemed like even people on bicycles passed us up. But that was the only loss in stars for the review. There was a cooler with ice and bottled water for us in the van.. We stopped at a little blanket shop and saw how they were woven. We stopped for some tequila tasting as well. Then we got to Todos Santos. The driver first drove us around and pointed out some highlights before we parked. He also took us around the mission and gave us some history. Then it was all on us for the next few hours to see the sights. Hotel California and other fun spots. Had lunch at a food cart with the absolute BEST shrimp tacos in Mexico. I really enjoyed the day. The driver stopped on request for us to grab a soda on the way back without hesitation. Good value and good day.

Mario drove and escorted 8 of us on our tour to Todos Santos on February 3, 2020. He was a perfect gentleman.... polite, kind, accommodating and concerned about our needs and desires for the day. He answered our questions professionally and very knowledgeably. We were impressed at the depth of his knowledge!
In addition to all of this, Mario called us about an hour after dropping us back at the Hard Rock Hotel to let us know we’d left our credit card at Hotel California. He even offered to go back and get it for us. In fact, he had already headed back when we let him know we had decided to cancel the card.
Mario is the quintessential tour guide! He is knowledgeable, organized, professional and very thoughtful! We had a wonderful day with him at the helm!
Thank you!

Hello!
I'd like to take this tour on December 29, 2021, from my hotel, Fairfield Inn Los Cabos, and leave the tour in Todos Santos. Is this possible? Just 1 person.
Thanks,

Should be if you arrange your own transportation from Todos Santos or just want to stay there. A pair of passengers left our tour in Todos Santos while the rest of us traveled back in the same bus that picked us up.

They do pick-ups in San Jose and Cabo. Regina it's considered a San Jose resort, therefore they will pick all of you in Club Regina. Towards reservation goes, it would be good to call them at least 2-3 days prior the activity day and everything should be just fine. I used their services and 0% bad feedback. Excellent conpamy and highly recommended. Hope that you guys get a wonderful vacation out of Cabo, being there a few times and felt safe at all times. God Bless.
