You also get to go in and take some photos. Had fun interacting with the camels and the food was delicious. Highly recommend this excursion. Zamir, our guide, made the day truly special. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and outgoing, creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere from start to finish. His enthusiasm was contagious, and he went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic time—even surprising us with extra desserts at the end of the day! Our guide (Richie) had an amazing attitude and great energy which he was able to spread to each of us. He explained to us that in order for the whales to show up we must practice patience and only have good vibes. And it worked! It seemed like the captain knew where the hotspots were and where the less crowded areas were. He kept a respectable distance away from the whales which we appreciated as the other companies on the water did not seem to respect the whales space and territory. Saw about 8 whales and even got to listen to their whale song with a special microphone. Truly had a beautiful experience and highly recommend a tour with Cabo adventures. Photographer max was highly interactive with us and took amazing photographs of the whales that we got to take home for a small price at the end. Very organized, safe and clean company. Wish I could go 100 more times.

We did the whale watching tour and it was awesome!!! The catamaran was beautiful and clean and was big enough that we never felt like we were crowded or too close to other guests; we pretty much had our own corner of the boat. Covid protocols were in tact and much appreciated. Drinks were good, they even had a non-alcoholic one for the kids. Lunch was sandwiches and fruit. Mario, Rogelio, Jose and Co. were super friendly and Mario was very knowledgeable about the whales. We all learned something new! Wish we could have seen the whales a bit more up close but that’s certainly out of their control! One suggestion would be to set the expectation upon entry to the shuttle bus that mask-wearing is required. We rode in an enclosed van with a family who wore their masks below their chins the whole ride while talking and laughing. Not cool.

This tour was excellent! We were a little nervous to be on a little boat, so we chose the luxury option which was on a larger catamaran and it was perfect! Our tour guides name was Raz and he was the most informative guide we could every imagined! We learned so much about Cabo, the water, the marine life and so much more. He spoke both English and Spanish and did the tour in both languages for our variety of passengers. We stoped by El Archo and lovers beach and were able to have a photo op (so two tours in 1) and immediately once we were out on the ocean, we saw whales! Once breached right in front of our boat, probably about 100 feet from the front of our boat! We could not drive close to the whales, as they need about 80-100 yards so that we aren’t disturbing them which is totally acceptable. The one that breached naturally got that close to us so we got lucky! While on board, we also were served lunch which were sandwiches and fruit in a bento box and we were served drinks from the full bar on board the boat. The boat also had bathrooms! The tour lasted about 3 hours which we weren’t really expecting, but it was excellent. Definitely the highlight of our trip!

we did this excursion on the second day of our cruise and it was our favorite one.our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. he took us way out to see the whales and we spent a good 30-50 minutes watching 3 whales put on a show.we did not want it to end. we were able to take a lot of pictures of whales, the arch, sea lions and some beautiful scenery. we purchased the tour photos because we were afraid our would not be as good. getting in and out of the zodiac was easy. the ride to the whales was a bit rough but that was to be expected. they spoke very good english and we could understand everything he was saying.. we would gladly do this again the next time we are in cabo . there was no water or cookies offered like it says in the description "Whale watching tour in Los Cabos

We booked the tour on Saturday for the Monday morning excursion and paid half the cost in advance. Our receipt specified that we would be picked up at 8:00 a.m. in front of your hotel. We were there by 7:53, but no driver came. We went inside and called Cabo Adventures. It took several tries before anyone answered. Then we were told it was too late for our tour, that a driver had come and we weren’t there. We could rebook for another time, but we would lose our deposit. Our hotel concierge tried to advocate for us, but we received no refund. The hotel desk clerk said no one came before we arrived, so perhaps the driver went to the wrong hotel. Our hotel name and room number were on the receipt, so the information should have made us easy to find if the driver truly did come early. I’m quite sure no one ever came. So be very careful when booking Cabo Adventures for an excursion. We were on time and in the place we were told to be, but we still lost our deposit. I can guarantee we will never book with them again.

The down side of the 8AM Whale Watching tour start was the early pick up at the resort of 6:55AM. The van picked me up in San Jose del Cabo and we drove to the Cabo Adventures in Cabo San Lucas, arriving at 7:40AM.
The group was large, and we left the office on time at 8AM, boarded two zodiacs 15 minutes later. The trip itself was very good, but the zodiac ride did make my lower back suffer, so always best to sit in the middle or at the back of the zodiac. I did get some great photos of a full breach and partial breaches.
We returned to the dock at 10:15AM, and then it was time for me to get a late breakfast at the marina. Don’t purchase tours at the resort, as it is more expensive than the tour agencies along Paseo Malecon San Jose.

Although we had to get up early, it was amazing experience and we'll worth it. Our crew was knowledgeable, made sure we were safe and above all made sure the whales were safe and our boat was a safe distance away.
We saw a number of groups of whales coming in and out of the water and at the end one whale kept jumping out of the water in a very playful manner.
Overall a fabulous experience, highly recommended, Cabo Adventures is the best !

I wound up liking the first whale watching experience so much I went back a second time the very next morning. The first trip I took my 18 year old son and he and I both really enjoyed it. We had Richie for a guide and he is a rockstar! He kept the energy up on the boat the whole entire time, he and the captain played music that was appropriate to whatever was going on at the time and just overall was a great guide. He provided a ton of knowledge on the whales and environment but in a way that even kept my normally bored son intrigued!
Veronica was my guide the next day and she did a good job but think she could provide more info and make the experience a little more fun and engaged.
Both days we were on whales less than 15 minutes from passing the Cabo arch! 7 surround us and I even caught a full whale breech on video!!! So much fun and a definite bucket list.
One minor complaint. The tour is billed as a whale watching and photography tour. My first day there wasn’t a photographer on our boat. The second time I did have one and of course purchased the pics after ❤️

Romel was our awesome guide and Jesus "Chuchi" was our fantastic Captain! We could not have asked for a better pair for our adventure. They were patient and very respectful of the whales. They got us close enough to see and photograph the whales, but were very careful not to crowd or push them. Romel was very knowledgable and spoke excellent english. The boat was small, but seats were comfortable enough. The were both very good at spotting and following the whales while they were submerged. We all agreed that we would book with this company again and would love to have this team again. Highly recommend them.

From looking at the pictures from the previous tours we were under the impression that we would be upclose to the whales and see many breaching out of the water. It wasn’t until we were on the tour that we were told that it would be incredibly rare for us to see any whales jumping out of the water. The tour guide was enthusiastic and we did see many spouts of water in the distance and we tracked the whales along the water and tail flapping from afar.
Would not recommend if you are looking for a one off experience as we saw just as many whales on other trips.
