About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- AnnaStaalsen0 contributionsHighly recommend! It was an easy trip because only my husband and I were parasailing- the rest were snorkeling. Andres was funny and made us feel super safe. Armando did a great job with the boat and was very professional. Highly recommend! Communication between boats and shuttles was good.Written April 26, 2024
- Vacation180196443770 contributionsAmazing sea voyage with Cabo Expeditions- ask for Jose as your captain! My dad wrote a review below, but I wanted to second how amazing our snorkeling adventure was with Cabo Expeditions and Jose Hernandez, Luis and Jose, Jr. We saw so much sea life and were amazed by the multiple whale sightings. Jose knew we were excited and hopeful to be able to see some whales and spent a little extra time making sure that we found them. We got an amazing show with one whale breaching many times. He was informative and seemed excited as well. It made the whole trip incredible. Luis was patient with the kids and helped them to find some awesome sea life including an urchin. He took photos for us on the beaches near the arch and made us all feel very welcome. The whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. We will definitely request this group when we return to Cabo and I wish we had done this the very first day of our trip because everyone wanted to go back the next day. Thank you, Jose, Luis and Jose, Jr.!Written April 10, 2024
- donnieh5520 contributionsCabo Expedition, Best Tour Ever, April 2024My wife, daughter's family and our four grandchildren chose Cabo Expeditions to take a tour, which included lunch, snorkeling and we were hoping a whale sighting. We were fortunate that our Captain was Jose Hernandez, who along with his first mate Luis and Jose's son, Jose gave us the absolute best experience ever. I was hoping we would see a whale but understood that the whale season was coming to an end. Well, not only did we see a whale, we saw six and as you can see in the image below, one female put on a spectacular show. Jose, Luis and Jose were incredibly kind and answered all of our questions. We saw Sea Lions, Sting Rays, other assorted fish, the whales, plus the Key Hole to the Pacific, which offers a view of the Pacific from the Sea Of Cortez and the famous arch. I highly recommend Cabo Expeditions and if your group is lucky enough to take the tour with Jose, you will be in for the time of your lives. We truly did not want the day to end and all are anxious to go back to see Jose, Luis and Jose, when we return. Thank you Cabo Expeditions and Thank You Jose, Luis and Jose for the best tour ever! - ansleyo20170 contributionsHighlight of our Cabo adventureKarla, Junior and the rest of the crew spoiled my friends (25-30yo) and I with the best experience. We had a healthy bento-box styled meals (fruit based breakfast and ceviche based lunch). Unlimited drinks. Fresh towels. Kara queued up a great playlist that had us dancing all day on the boat. It was the highlight of our trip. We swam amongst sea lions which was surreal and saw manta rays jumping out of the water. 10/10 recommend.Written March 17, 2024
- L_LOVES2TRAVEL0 contributionsPerfect day on and in the waterWhat a great afternoon. Pick up and drop off from the hotel was easy. The guides made sure we saw jumping whales, snorkeled on the best part of the bay and generally took great care of us. Ready to do it again!Written March 7, 2024
- Jannaqq0 contributionsCabo Expeditions Kayak and snorkel to see El Arco, Pacific Window, and Pelican rock up closeCabo Expeditions provided a great 9am kayak and snorkel experience. The adventure included roundtrip transportation to Cabo Expeditions to check in and then to the public beach. Trevor (or maybe Taylor) and Luen tag-teamed to provide a great experience. First, Trevor provided a brief kayak lesson and got us into our life jackets. Luen helped us into our kayaks before getting on his standup paddle board and we headed out to El Arco. Beautiful blue waters. Very popular spot. Able to get close to the sea lions napping on Pelican island (aptly named...there were lots of pelicans), stopped to view Lover's Beach (with Divorce Beach on the opposite side), and then for a close-up of the Pacific Window (my favorite). The waters around El Arco were calmer than I expected. Quite the sight. After our return, Trevor took us down the beach a bit to begin our snorkel...which was very short because of he sighted jellyfish. I saw a school of beautiful moorish idols, three porcupinefish, guineafowl pufferfish, needlefish and urchins. After we returned to the beach, we enjoyed a simple lunch of ham&cheese bagel sandwich, veggie crisps and a chocolate granola bar. Trevor or Luen will also watch your stuff on the beach. They provided three umbrellas and cool turkish cotton beach towels to sit on or set your stuff on (change of clothes, etc.) The Cabo Expeditions office will also watch your stuff. I am a beginner kayaker, and as simple as it seems to hold the paddle so it is centered and coordinate paddling with my kayak mate, it was really difficult to keep the kayak moving in a straight line. A more experienced kayaker in our group indicated that the plastic, rudderless nature of the kayaks in the wind, surf and current made kayaking straight a bit more difficult, so I was a bit less dismayed.Written February 4, 2024
- tammilip0 contributionsBest Whale Watch we’ve ever done!We have done many Whale Watching tours in Cabo but this was our first on a Zodiac “raft” with Cabo Expeditions. We did the 12 pm tour as a family with 4 adults and 1 8 year old. Captain Jose and Romel the first mate were exceptional guides. We were the only English speaking guests on the boat and they both spoke perfect English. They were both very friendly and knowledgeable about the whales and the landmarks in the marina. We saw more whales in this tour then we have ever seen before and being in the Zodiac was great because we were able to get very close to the whales. We were following a group of 6 whales for almost an hour. Unbelievable experience! We will definitely be repeat customers and will definitely request Jose and Romel as our guides!Written December 25, 2023
- Trek025269492740 contributionsJust an ok tourPros: They picked us up from our hotel. They were one of the few excursions to do 2 snorkel locations. Guides were nice. The chicken salad sandwiches were good. Cons: Told us we had to wear life jackets while snorkeling. Everything felt rushed. Very small inflatable boat. My kiddo hated the sandwich and there were no other options. We didn't stop at Lover's Beach, we stopped at a random beach down the way and got 20 minutes to swim to it and hang out. Overall not terrible but probably wouldn't book it again.Written September 29, 2023
- mildred_pperez0 contributionsSo much fun! This was so much fun! Morel and Captain Armando were professional, friendly, funny helpful. The sights are beautiful from up above. Definitely recommend this fun activity!Written August 17, 2023
- Durbanguy0 contributionsGreat Experience All AroundOur original date was cancelled due to high wind, but the company allowed us to either reschedule or get a refund. We rescheduled. Never having done this before I was a bit apprehensive, but the crew were very helpful and they knew what they were doing. It was a fun experience and I would recommend it. Views were great.Written August 6, 2023
- Shawn H0 contributionsFun family excursionThis company did a great job. The parasailing was a lot of fun! We had our family of four and two other couples in the boat with us. They will dip you in the ocean if you want (otherwise we all stayed completely dry) We've done parasailing from the beach before, and this felt much safer! We were there on a cruise, and there was plenty of time! Plus it was a much better price than booking it via the cruise ship!Written August 6, 2023
- FloVick0 contributionsFantastic Beach Day!Our resort recommended Cabo Expeditions Beach Day after hearing that we wanted a more low-key snorkeling trip and vibe. Our shuttle was clean, easy and well air conditioned. We arrived and the beach and Romelo (sp?) had all the gear needed to paddle board and snorkel as well as the umbrellas, blankets and a cooler with drinks and food ready for us. It was an absolutely perfect day. We had a range of comfort levels and ability in our small group, and he made sure we all had incredible experiences snorkeling. He could identify and locate all kinds of fish and coral. Like a marine biologist level of knowledge. The hang time at the beach, lunch, etc was all so fun and felt very personal and safe. We didn’t want to commit to a day-long boat trip, and wanted some freedom to really enjoy the ocean. This adventure did just that and the service was really exceptional. If I could give it more stars I would. (P.S. seriously when the boats anchored to explore and I saw the experience those folks were having vs our experience I was SO glad we picked the beach day! To each their own - but this was the vibe and experience we were looking for.)Written July 29, 2023
- slbrit0 contributionsGreat Beach ExperienceWe did the Beach Day tour and it was excellent! We were set-up with beach blankets, umbrellas, lunch and drinks. We were able to swim, snorkel and paddle board for 4 hours. Jaime and Luen, our guides, were both amazing. They took care of everything, including helping us paddle board for the first time. Definitely recommend!Written July 10, 2023
- LxGz0 contributionsI think we were sub-contracted out to a different parasailing company. After doing plenty of research, I found that Cabo Expeditions was Water Sports Industry Association certified. This was the deciding factor in choosing them for our parasailing adventure. However, on the day of our tour, I'm pretty sure we were "handled" by Aries Water Sports. Their life vests said Aries, their boat said Aries and so did the sail. I was the 1st in my group of 5 to go up in the sail. I received no instruction; simply step in to this harness, stand here and up I went. After my return to the boat, I was happy to hear that my family members did receive instructions about where not to place their hands...the exact location where my hands were while I was up in the air! All in all everything went fine and we encountered no issues.Written June 25, 2023

I have gone on two Cabo Expedition whale-watching tours this month with family members (we live here in Cabo, and had visitors). Both experiences were awesome! They use Zodiac boats that are fast and maneuverable, making it easy to get to where the whales are. Our last captain was Jaime, and he was an absolute pleasure. My 81-year-old mom and dad were on the boat, and he could not have been more kind to them, which made me very happy. I've attached a picture of Jaime and my mom at the end of the tour :) We saw quite a few whales and some sea lions that were also jumping like crazy.

A large company that does NOT care about their guests, you are nothing but a number to them. Shuffled in and out like cattle. Find and support a smaller company. Every boat has its own photographer to sell you photos after the tour. I made a huge mistake and forgot my battery in the charger in my room.
The photographer, David, had the same camera battery. After waiting a good amount of time for him to get photos I offered him $20 to borrow the battery for just 5-10 minutes just to get a photo of the whale jumping (already jumped plenty and he had enough time to grab a ton of shots) he just said no. He had the opportunity to make my experience amazing, but instead, he chose to not only not let me borrow the battery but didn't even take any more photos after I asked. He was finished taking photos and then had the nerve to tell me I had a really nice camera. Such a joke.

Thanks for contacting us through TripAdvisor. Our company cares for every guest we serve. I would like to point out that our company does not have any David working as a photographer now or in the past year. Most likely you booked a tour with another company. We will be happy to be your host during your next Los Cabos trip. Hope to see you soon.

What an amazing experience! Our guide, Pablo, knew so much about whales and got us to three different groups of whales, including a mom and juvenile. He kept his distance from the whales while getting us close enough to have an amazing view of them in their natural environment. Photographer Benjamin captured some amazing shots with his digital SLR that we could not get on our smart phone cameras and I am so glad we purchased his photos of our trip. Muchas gracias, Pablo!!

We had a wonderful time out on our morning cruise with Julio. He was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, bilingual, and extremely helpful but wasn’t overly chatty. We loved him. He was excellent at spotting whales and we saw a very large number in just a short amount of time. We would use this company and Julio again anytime.

Wow. That pretty much sums up the experience. Our guide, Julio, was amazing. He found tons of whales easily and handled the zodiac to get us close without endangering the whales. You will not be disappointed! Sea lion in the marina was an added bonus!

Good service. Around 3hrs journey in the ocean. The guide was really good because we saw the humpbacks and grey whales atleast 10 times. We even saw one like within 30ft. Be ready for a bumpy ride though because they have a speed boat.

We LOVED our whale watching tour and snorkeling, although the water was freezing!
We were so lucky to see many whales and even some breaching! The captain was very kind and did not rush so we got a really great show from a couple whales!
I am so glad we decided to rent the entire boat as there were 12 of us,

Fantastic tour with Cabo Expeditions! We were picked up promptly at our resort and taken to the marina to join the rest of our group before boarding the zodiac. We were a group of 7, 5 adults and 2 younger children. It was an amazing tour, we spent time with a few different groups of whales, including a couple that were tail and fin slapping. At one point there were so many bubbles surrounding our boat, the crew said they had never seen anything like that before. Shortly after, a whale surfaced very close to our boat. Simply amazing! Can’t say enough great things about the tour. It was the highlight of our week in Cabo!

We have done a lot of whale watching and this was one of the very best excursions. Our guide/driver, Jose, was really great. He was very enthusiastic and knowledgable. Luck smiled on us and we saw so many whales jumping, fin slapping, tail slapping etc. Highly recommend this tour!
