After being picked up from our hotel, he took us to the beach and quickly explained how the gear works. As novices we were able to catch on quick and hit the water within 10 minutes. We were able to find an amazing array of fish, and even spotted a turtle! Hugo was knowledgeable about all the fish, and even told us which ones taste the best. What a WOWZA experience! Luis Soto was an excellent day guide for our excursion to Fox Canyon. He picked us up on time in a clean, modern Jeep. We drove the highway to Santiago and several small towns in our Jeep. He explained the scenery and climate and the tropic of cancer, climate and fruit trees. The best surprise was the hidden gem of the waterfall and gorgeous clear Natural pool at Rancho Ecologico Sol de Mayo. The lunch stop at Los Agaves was the best real Mexican food ever! You like Margaritas like us?
The pintayah cactus dragonfruit margarita was tantalizing. Best margarita we have ever had!
Do not hesitate to book this private tour! Well worth it!!! Thanks Luis!

Look no further! This is the best spot for all types of excursion. We did a private a private jeep tour with another family that we vacationed with! (4 adults and 6 teenagers) It was beyond perfect, clean new jeeps and Broncos and went to some spectacular spots, we did it all. Off roading, hiking, waterfall swimming, rock jumping, and a spectacular lunch that was ready when we arrived at the sweetest local spot.
But honestly what made this trip the experience to remember was the awesome crew. Energetic, fun, and so knowledgeable of the area and it’s history. Our tour guide crew, Marco Salas, Luis Soto, and Romina and another girl (totally forgot her name 😳) took our day to the next level of FUN!
We would absolutely recommend the Jeep tour.
But, We also took a Surf lesson the next day with Marco Polo Latinos Ruiz, and he was awesome as well! The 3 of us that took a Lesson surfed the rest of that day, and 2 more times that week. He was very thorough and made sure to explain the safety measures prior to going in the water. Once in the water he worked with each of us like it was a personal lesson. Marco from our Jeep tour guide was at the beach that day taking some awesome photos, this was just the icing on the cake to a already spectacular experience. His photography skills are amazing.
Great job Hightides! You have great employees that love their job and it shows, the made our experience amazing! The attention to detail, like umbrellas and snacks at the swim spot are the small things that show you really appreciate your customers.
P.S. We ran into Luis Soto during one of our other trips to the Surf beach, he was preparing to teach another group to surf. He was genuinely excited to see us, and hear about our family surfing adventures. 😄

Jose Luis, Marco Salas and Romina are undoubtedly an excellent guides, with the information and care to make a great an unforgettable experience. The off-road jeep trip is one of the most fun tours where you can meet a different face from what we expect in Cabo.

Luis was an amazing tour guide. Very attentive and knowledgeable. He made us feel safe as our tour was customized due to some physical limitations.
With us being a larger group (3 jeeps), walkie-talkie radios would’ve been a nice addition so the tour guides could communicate with each other.

Highly recommend a Jeep tour if you are staying in Cabo - this was our favorite activity of the trip! Luis was our guide and he was absolutely amazing! He picked us up at the hotel in the morning and took us on an outstanding tour. It was the perfect mix of safe but fun off-roading and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. It was great having Luis because he is a local and was able to answer a lot of our questions about the area and give us recommendations for great local spots to checkout. He was also extremely friendly and has a very good understanding of all the roads and small towns! If you decide to do this definitely ask for Luis!

We had an amazing day with our guide Hugo! Hugo was waiting for us at our hotel to pick us up. He was super personable and very knowledgeable about the area. He took us on an amazing hike to a beautiful waterfall and swimming hole. It was so cool! Hugo was a great guide. We had a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. We have another excursion planned and are going to request Hugo! Highly recommend this excursion especially if you get Hugo as a guide.

The highlight of our trip this is a don't miss half day outing into the beautiful mountainous area. We traveled about an hour into the country until we got off road. Ephraim our guide was such a pleasant guy. We really enjoyed his company. Like a friend taking you on an outing. Found some good mud and water to play in then went to a private park and ecology center were we saw goats, rabbits, burro, a mule, peacock, geese, etc. Beautiful! Hiked for a bit to beautiful oasis with waterfall. Super nice swimming hole.
Stopped for ice cream and lunch on the way back. The trip truly could not have better and Ephraim was an excellent tour guide.

What a great day seeing the countryside and avoiding the crowds in Cabo - private jeep tours with High Tide Sea Expeditions. We chose a jeep tour but High Tide Sea also offers private beach and snorkeling tours. We had 6 people so we took two jeeps - each with a guide. Maury and Jules met us at our hotel and took time to figure out exactly what we were looking for and customized the trip accordingly. This is definitely NOT the herd the cattle trip booze cruise/group tour/dumb drinking games.
Loaded in our jeeps we headed to San Jose del Cabo and visited the main plaza - definitely slower pace than Cabo with lots of local flavor. After that we headed north past the airport to Miraflores - small town off the highway at even slower pace. We placed our food order for later in the day at small family restaurant La Agave. After a beer stop we headed off road to see the countryside. It had rained alot the previous (tropical storm Bud) and EVERYTHING was green and blossoming. Cacti, trees leafed out, flowers everywhere. We also stopped to visit local school and gather some mangoes (after asking permission).
Maury adjusted the trip to accommodate some in our group at an easy access river swimming hole (near the zipline) After this stop, headed to Sol de Mayo for a hike to a beautiful waterfall. Absolutely gorgeous - plunging waterfall, swimming hole, sand beach, fresh mangoes and cold beer. Couldn't be better.
Stopped at fresh water oasis at Santiago - palm trees and overlook over ancient oasis with years of history. Next was lunch break back at Miraflores. The food was excellent - grilled fish tacos, tacos el pastor but the best was the cactus fruit margaritas and coladas. Yum.
On the way back, we stopped at little Guadalupe shrine at the Tropic of Cancer monument. Since it was first days of summer, rather ironic to stop there on the day the sun was directly overhead at noon.
Highly recommended - avoid group tours, pay the extra money for custom trip. Well worth it
