This was a once in a lifetime experience, and I am so glad I did it! The tour began with a two hour bus ride to La Paz, but our driver, Edgar, and guide, Emi took care to make it as comfortable and informative as possible. Emi provided education on the whale sharks as well as the history and geography of Cabo. He was excited and enthusiastic, willing to answer any questions posed. Once at the marina, we were provided with wet suits and any snorkeling gear we would need. I am actually terrified of swimming in the ocean, but felt very comfortable and safe the entire experience. The snorkeling guide, Joe, was in the water with us the whole time, guiding each of us as needed to get great views of the whale sharks. I couldn't believe how close I was! The views of the mountains, beaches, and ocean from the boat were amazing the entire time as well. Joe had such a passion for the whale sharks and his job, and I could tell he was having just as much fun as we were. Lunch after snorkeling was very yummy, battered fish tacos with substitute options for any food allergies or preferences. On the drive back, we had some extra time, so Emi offered a detour to Todos Santos to see the Hotel California and grab some ice cream - an offer we could not refuse! Overall a great day, and at the end Emi even gave us his contact information in case we needed any recommendations while staying in Cabo. I would recommend to anyone looking for a unique experience.

0615 & hungover… This perky ocean eyed vixen is begging for excitement, makes promises of a tattoo and I’m thinking maybe in my tequila haze I signed up for something crazy, but as the sobriety hit and the sun rose over the two hour bus ride to La Paz I was reminded that I did sign up for something amazing and that was to swim with the largest fish in the sea. The stunning and majestic whale shark. Upon arrival we are introduced to our guide, Joe. My expat Caribbean ass is freezing to death but I begin to get excited as I have heard about this place my whole life. Michelle, the ocean eyed perky vixen, takes our order for lunch, we are fitted with equipment (I did bring my own but as a regular diver/snorkeler I like my comfort and I know my gear) and we are loaded onto the boat to head into the Sea of Cortez and play Jacques Cousteau or Valerie Taylor for the day.
El Capitan Jorge navigated with safety and ease just like his forefathers before him. Joe stood upon the bow scanning the expansive view for our dark shadow of an unforgettable experience. Upon spotting, we slid into the water and I was completely in awe as I came face to face with Destiny, not really I don’t know the sharks name but he allowed us to swim alongside of him for about 5km, in three different jumps. Another boat ride through the Sea of Cortez and then was greeted and served classic Baja style fish tacos and had a nice cerveza. Post caloric gorging, we were back on the bus to visit the Hotel California, not as insane as it sounds. Another margarita and light shopping and we were on our way for one more surprise from our awesome and knowledgeable guide.
One final stop, Hector the protector aka our bus driver pulled off to a wonderful photo view opportunity. As our quest came to a completion, the post adventure depression was real. And I am looking forward to doing it again. The earlier promised tattoo never appeared but now with La Paz in my heart and the experience in my bucket I have already messaged my artist. 💙🤿🦈

This was a pretty special experience. Our guide (Mario) and boat driver (Luis) really knew what they were doing. They made this adventure so worth while. I was a little nervous, but Mario literally held my hand and guided me closer to the whale shark on my dives. And the pictures and video they took with the go pro really made it memorable. We came upon a 13 foot whale shark early on in our trip and stayed with it for many dives. THEN, we came across a 20 footer! Wow oh wow was that spectacular! Thank you Mario and Luis!!!

Horrible experience. Total rip off. Signed up for snorkeling lunch cruise which ended up being an overpriced booze cruise. Didn’t snorkel or eat lunch, when asked if we could take our lunch to go we were told no. I can not recommend this place to anyone who is seeking sincere customer service and a good time. We paid basically $1,000 for a group of 8 and were extremely disappointed. The boat was crowded.
Attitude from the staff. They were going through the motions and not really doing anything. They’re lucky to have jobs with management that doesn’t care about customer service because if they did actually care then they’d all be fired.
All I can say is you’ve been warned. If you want to feel like cattle and treated like crap then go here.
My friend went on the “cheaper” snorkel cruises at $30 per person and had more fun.
Such a let down.
Don’t believe the positive reviews. They’re probably rigged.

I paid for this tour, canceled well within the 48 hours required for a full refund, due to my plane being grounded in a snow storm, and 2 months later, I am still waiting for my $800.00 refund, to no avail. I keep getting put off by email, text and phone and told it takes 60 days for a refund.

Mar 2021 • Friends
I used to have nothing but good things to say about this company because I had done their zip lining tour in Puerto Vallarta. However, in Cabo they canceled our excursion due to weather. They charged me on March 25, 2021 and I have been trying to get a refund ever since. I have in total spent over 2 hours on the phone trying to get a hold of somebody to give me a refund. Each time I call they tell me it’s 90 days to receive a refund, or it’s coming in a couple weeks and recently they told me it would come Thursday or Friday. They told me there is no way they can expedite it more quickly when I talk to them last week they told me that it would be in my account Thursday or Friday. I still have not received my money and I feel that this is a scam because I called my bank to dispute the charges and they told me that it is now over 90 days and there’s nothing they can do. I am very upset and don’t recommend a company that takes this long to get money back to people for their cancellations. Not to mention all the staff that I spoke to was rude and short with me. This isn’t just a hundred bucks either they owe me $402!!!!! This is robbery.

Very expensive ($225 pp) and your day is consumed with a hurry up and wait. Catch a 7am bus, drive two hours on a nice comfortable bus provided a sandwich juice and granola bar for breakfast, rush to check in at the adventures place in La Paz to be suited up in full gear, leave all bags due to small boat and walked 3/4 mile to harbor, drive out to the water about 10 min to check in at a PETA station controlling the whales sharks time, and get in line behind other boats….could be an hour or two waiting. they rushed us into La Paz main street for shopping but had to stay close when we got the call it was our turn. 45 min later we are running across main street to get back to the boat….and rush out to the water….to get in line…..finally swimming with the whales sharks - Very Cool! Just go in knowing you paid more than the next person, the food is meh at best, and you are on a 10 hour cattle herding journey for 20 minutes of awesome.

I booked several tours with Cabo Adventures in November 2020 for 4 people for January 2021. Two people had to cancel in December. I was told I would get the refund in January. I call and email Cabo Adventures every month since January and still no refund. In June I was promised in a email the refund was scheduled for August 1st. Since August 1st I was told refund would be processed by end of week. Today I was told it would be processed by third week of August. Cabo Adventures owes me $633.00 from nine months ago. This is not a reputable company.

Had an incredible day with our crew! Marco and Luis helped us to have an amazing swim with the whale sharks. We were very blessed and wound up finding this curious adolescent whale shark who was totally checking US out! Marco said he had never seen anything quite like it. We wound up each getting three dives with the same whale shark. So much fun! Marco took very good care of us, making sure we all had a great time. Highly recommend this adventure! It does require a bit of stamina though :-)

Joe the guide was awesome even though the whale sharks where hard to find that day and was swimming super fast when we found one. Emi and Rasoi were also great with the transport. = ) Knocked of a star because it was a long trip from Cabo for a relatively short time in the water but that is no fault of the company.

Hello Guide,
We are wondering if you could show a picture of the vehicle that we will be riding in to get to La Paz, Our experience has been that we are crammed into a mini-van with no air-conditioning!
Also, How should we dress for this tour?
Will you pick up and Gran Solmar
Is the tour available in mid October? About how long is the boat ride out to the whales...I know, they
move around, but is there a general area? Is it a 30 minute boat ride...or a 2 hour boat ride? Thank you!

I don't think so...websites state their dates. You might get lucky, but it might be too early? It is VERY strenuous (I'm in my 60s and did it) and well worth it. We went in April and there were only a couple around by that time, but we did get in the water and up close! Only need one.

ello! We would love to book your tour. We live in the Caribbean on a boat and go snorkelling weekly so this is an extension of our life. We have a 5 almost 6 year old who would live to do this. He is a strong swimmer and snorkels all the time. Would he be allowed to join us, we would take responsibility for him.

I’m not the your operator, you should contact them. I do believe that there is an age restriction and I believe it is 15 or 16. Even in Mexico the government has rules.
