What a fun 4 hours with Pascal! We all laughed and enjoyed his inclusive and easy way. He is a wonderful musician and storyteller and took us to many different stops along our walk to food, drink and music! Highly recommended!!!

    What talent!
We happened upon the tour today and were invited to listen to a few songs. What talent! Seriously - not only the singing talent but the way Jean managed the multilingual crowd was truly inspiring. We weren't officially part of the tour but will be taking one soon!

A relaxed, up-close, must-do experience in San Miguel for music and non-music lovers!!
Pascal is awesome. Went on this with a small group of 5. I am a music lover and this was fantastic. Not only do you get Pascal and his talent, you see little places off the streets of the city only a resident sees, and you get musical and country/city history. The tour is very relaxing with refreshments, restroom stops, and lunch. I highly recommend this and would value the experience way beyond what you pay!

    Amazing experience
We spent an unforgettable evening in a place of San Miguel de Allende I had not known after several visits. The nature is gorgeous and Jean Pascal takes you with a charming experience of great music and perfectly matching food. I recommend it widely!

A great experience for a family with 6 yo!
Being a local it's hard to find activities that would spark emotion or awe but this experience totally changed that perspective for us as it is TRULY ENJOYABLE. Jean Pascal combines the charm and beauty of San Miguel with Mexican music and storytelling while you encounter art, history, and nature. I was a bit nervous my 6 yo wouldn't enjoy a 4-hour tour, but he was fascinated! Jean involved him in all the activities, gave him coloring pages that referred to the songs, tell stories, gave him instruments to play. In each setting, he would have my son discover something in a painting, a street, a wall... He was entertained at all times and that was a huge relief for my husband and I, we all had a good time and discovered things about San Miguel we didn't now. I was also in awe of how Jean would translate everything from English to Spanish and vice-versa with such ease, so no one felt uncomfortable or felt like they were missing out. Totally recommend it! Thank you Jean Pascal!

Amazing day in San Miguel de Allende
Jean Pascal is a talented musician who makes the music of the region very interesting by connecting it to historical and cultural events and traditions. He’s truly gifted both as a musician and as a story teller. My husband and I chose the tour kind of on a whim, as we didn’t know much about this kind of thing but it was by far our best day in San Miguel!

    wonderful stroll and music
We spent about 4 hours with Jean Pascal. It flew by, although it was a leisurely walk, with stops at shady courtyards for various treats and conversation. Jean is delightful and played some wonderful music for us. I highly recommend this as a great way to learn about San Miguel, and to see areas of the city you might not otherwise encounter. But more than that, Jean was a terrific companion, and musician. it felt like we were spending a day with a friend. The lunch at the end was delicious. Don't miss it!

    Fun experience
Very low key. Saw many new areas in San Miguel. Drinking, singing, eating and walking. Everyone felt a part of a small family for a few hours.

    Delightful, offbeat experience
Pascal is a fascinating person and a wonderful musician. We thoroughly enjoyed his walking musical tour, and we learned so much about Mexican traditions, folklore and culture through his songs.

    What a great tour
I was skeptical about this walking tour when my friend booked us and the family. However, to my delight- I thoroughly enjoyed the tour, the music and the whole experience. Jean is fantastic, talented and a fun tour guide. Thank you for a great day, Jean! You rocked it man.

Don't Miss This Tour - It is the BEST!
I have done many tours in SMA (I live here) and this is the most fun by far. Pascal is a very talented musician and is putting on this tour out of love for music/people/Mexico and not just for money and this fact really shows. You are guaranteed to have a great time, plus you get excellent food and drinks along the way for an insanely low price. You will have great time and the time will fly by as you enjoy the music and sights in SMA. Without a doubt, it will be on the best things that you will do when visiting this wonderful city.

    Best Tour in San Miguel
My husband and I ran into Pascal when he was giving a tour. We were intrigued when he called himself a troubadour so we signed up for his tour a few days later. Pascal’s music tour was the most memorable tour we have experienced in decades of travel and tours. He is a gifted musician and composer with a haunting voice. Pascal plays acoustic guitar as well as indigenous instruments and percussion. His tour interweaves music with San Miguel history, culture, art, architecture, and mythology. This was by far the highlight of our week there. Highly recommended!

This tour is great for travellers wanting to experience local music, art galleries, a bit of history, a nature walk and a home cooked meal in Pascal's home. If you are not musically inclined this might not be for you as Pascal, who is very talented, tries to get everyone participating in the music and it can make a person a bit uncomfortable. We saw several art galleries where Pascal knew the owners and artists which was wonderful and provided enough information to make a person want to go back to Fabrica de la Aurora to see everything we didn't have time to see on the tour. After leaving Fabrica de la Aurora we stopped for some more songs by Pascal then headed out on a nature walk where Pascal explained some of the plants. We ended up at Pascal's beautiful home in Colonia Guadalupe, which was the highlight of the experience, for a traditional Mexican meal. There were drinks and a little surprise along the route.

Hi Evelyn, thank you for taking the time to write a review and thinking about your experience. I’m glad you enjoyed it! In response to your comment about feeling a bit uncomfortable I would like to say that it is never my intention to make anyone feel uncomfortable through my music. For me music if anything is about sharing, building relationships and community. When I play the songs it is true I often invite people to participate for those who choose to take part, but no obligation there. When traveling I believe it is good to challenge oneself, see something from a new perspective, try something new! For those of you who are reading this response I invite you to join my tour, ask questions, participate perhaps even step out of your comfort zone. I love meeting new people and I’m always looking forward to sharing what I have to offer and of course learning about you!

One of our friends arranged a tour with Pascal to the Fabrica la Aurora, an art gallery and former textile mill as well as off the beaten path spots in San Miguel. Pascal was amazing, he's such a great and entertaining host. We learned about San Miguel's history, met artists - he knew so many of them personally, toured beautiful galleries and admired local art, stopped in little out of the way places and markets and then had a wonderful lunch. Pascal has an amazing voice so we thoroughly enjoyed him sharing some of his beautiful songs with us. He's such a lovely person, you will really enjoy spending time with him and exploring parts of San Miguel you might not have discovered on your own. I would highly recommend any tour with Pascal. You will love the time you spend with him!

Our visit in San Miguel de Allende was made even more special by taking this tour with Pascal. Not only did we enjoy listening to his wonderful guitar music and lyrics, but we also enjoyed hearing stories and legends that inspired them. Pascal was attentive, warm, and friendly with a wicked sense of humor. And did I mention that Pascal is a marvelous musician?

For instance, Pascal took us to Fabrica la Aurora, a renovated textile mill, where he sang a few songs and introduced us to many gallery artists. Our day ended with songs and lunch at a wonderful restaurant, Ojo de Agua.

We highly, highly recommend this inspiring, fun, enlightening tour!

Toured Fabrica la Aurora, an art gallery and former textile mill as well as off the beaten path spots in San Miguel. Met artists, stopped in little out of the way places and markets and had a wonderful lunch. Throughout it all, Pascal stopped and sang traditional songs as well as his own music. A fun and unique experience.

We spent a beautiful afternoon with interactive music sessions, getting to know our intimate group, relaxing tour of museums, culture, artwork and history of the town! Very personable service. He had games & artwork to color for the 2 children in our group. We enjoyed our lunch with wine and his great musical talent.

Thanks for this beautiful review! It was great meeting you! I hope our paths will cross again! Just to clarify for those reading the review, we go into galleries, not museums although I must say some of the galleries are museum quality. Take care! : )

What a wonderful introduction to SMA. Fabulous music (Pascal’s voice, guitar, and songwriting are rich and moving). Talented story teller, wonderful host and guide, and artist. Lunch prepared by a talented chef at his lovely home was a great finale. Thank you Pascal.

We had the absolute pleasure of spending the day yesterday with Pascal. It is rare to meet such a talented musician, let alone get to spend the day with them. Not only do we thoroughly enjoyed our tour and music but the little details of SMA history, horticulture and art made it even more memorable. The music, food and storytelling was fantastic. Would recommend to all of our family and friends as an unforgettable experience. Not to be missed!

Jean Pascal was an extraordinary guide, who gave my husband and me a musical tour that far exceeded our expectations. Beginning at Fabrica de la Aurora, where he played his guitar and sang for us in some beautiful galleries, we wandered with Jean through various neighborhoods, learned about the history of San Miguel, ate delicious food, toasted with Mezcal in a former brothel transformed into a beautiful hotel and best of all, listened to beautiful songs, several of which he composed himself. Jean has incredible people skills and treated us like old friends. Jean gave us the feeling that being our guide was something that he really enjoyed doing. He added so many beautiful touches during our tour that made the day feel incredibly special. If you do a tour in San Miguel, do this one. I guarantee you won't regret it!

Pascal is a truly gifted musician and storyteller in addition to being a lovely person to spend an afternoon with. I had two groups of friends join me in San Miguel de Allende in January 2020 and the tour plus lunch with Pascal was a highlight of the trip for everyone!

We learned things about the history of SMA I never would have known, had a lovely lunch, plus dessert and coffee, and enjoyed every song he performed. This tour will be on our list for every trip we tale to San Miguel.

We spent 5 hours with Pascal today and it was a fantastic experience. We learned a lot of interesting info and history about San Miguel, as well as Mexico in general. We heard some great songs and the lunch at 1542 was delicious. Very highly recommended by these two partners and travelers.
