          Amazing tour
Jesus was an incredible tour guide. Twenty-seven year history of living in the city and grew up in San Miguel, we were so lucky to have his as our guide.

          Excellent overview
Luis was super friendly, knowledgeable and happy to answer all our questions as he walked us from our hotel around San Miguel introducing us to history and highlights of wonderful city. His restaurant recommendations were also great. Highly recommend to get your bearings upon arriving in San Miguel.

Guided tour old town of Guanajuato
We had the pleasure of having our own private guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, polite and flexible. Same goes for the driver taking us safe back and forth from our hotel in San Miguel de Allende.

          Excellent tour.
Excellent, excellent tour. Without our tour guide, we wouldn't have known the rich history of central San Miguel de Allende. Throughout the tour, I was amazed in the description of each place we went to.

The Silver Mines at Mineral de Pozos
We live full-time in San Miguel de Allende, and recently had family visiting from the US. We wanted them to experience some of the interesting history of Mexico. We have used Catrina Tours before, and were very glad to have Diego once again as our guide for our first visit to the silver mines located at Mineral de Pozos. Diego is an experienced guide and speaks fluent English. His knowledge of Mexican history runs deep, and he has a nice, informal way of sharing it. After picking the seven of us up at our home, we drove to visit an organic lavender farm close to the mining area of Mineral de Pozos, about an hour from San Miguel. The farm visit was a bonus and we learned about the science and hard manual work involved behind extracting the essences of lavender. We then visited the large site of an abandoned silver mine and toured the ruins of the buildings there. Diego is well-versed in the processes involved as well as what is known about the lives of the miners. The tine flew by, and we were then treated to lunch (included with our tour) at the modern hotel Tesoros. Diego ordered their unique tapas specialties to share, and we enjoyed informal conversation as we ate. This was our second tour with Catrina Tours, and we highly recommend them. Diego told us that they design tours tailored to client’s desires to maximize the experience.

We needed a driver and tour guide last minute and these guys really came through for us. We went to Dolores Hidalgo and the Sanctuary of Atotonilco but we did so much more! We first went to a lavender collective that empowers local women. We had a tour of the operation and loved it. Granted the road there was super bumpy but Brandon made it as smooth as he could. Next we went to Dolores Hidalgo where we got a great tour and explaination of the primary church then got to taste several cool ice cream flavors before we all got avocado! Then a walk around the history museum, a bit of a wine tasting and a tour of a pottery factory! Last but not least was a stop at the lovely Sistine Chapel of Mexico. Our guide was Luis, our driver Brandon and we highly recommend them.

This place is awesome and so spiritual. You can see the Bible depicted in paintings. It was well worth the drive into the country, although it’s only about 14 km from San Miguel.

The tour guide was so knowledgeable! We were picked up and dropped off -door to door - which was quite convenient for us. The tour included a variety of experiences: tours to the churches, ice cream tasting, wine tasting and explanations of the culture and beautiful variations in this country of Mexico.
