- SRay190 contributionsBeautiful experienceMy boyfriend and I booked this as one of our bigger budget excursions for the holiday and we were so glad we made the decision to do so! Antonio was prompt and informative with whatsapp messages from the moment I contacted him. We had a clear map and details to meet via whatsapp. The tour itself was great, Antonio was very informative and knowledgeable, a great conversationalist as well as educating us about the local economy system. We saw so many beautiful birds, and a glimpse of a crocodile in the distance which was great (far enough away to enjoy the sight without feeling nervous). If you are in two minds about whether to book this, I really recommend, it was one of the highlights of our trip! Thank you AntonioWritten February 17, 2025
- freddiep2230 contributionsExcellent kayak nature reserve tourFantastic tour. Antonio was an excellent guide - very knowledgeable and friendly. We took kayaks out through the mangroves and it felt like we had the whole nature reserve to ourselves! Antonio knows routes through the mangroves that take you to quieter areas, and also all the spots with wildlife. I can't recommend this tour enough if you want to have a closer connection to the nature at the reserve. We saw many different birds, a crocodile and a stingray too.Written February 10, 2025
- MaryWilsonatStanford0 contributionsExplore Sia'an Ka'an and experience the wonders of bird life among the mangroves in a gorgeous setting!Antonio was a truly exceptional guide who knows kayaking and enjoys wildlife himself greatly so when he talks about the birds and ecology of the biosphere he does so with passion. He has a wealth of experience seeing the birds go through their various seasons of migration and behavior and knows just where to find them. The views as we glided through the water were absolutely fantastic. Roseate spoonbills rising from a nesting site! A peregrine falcon tending a brood in the nest. We just wish we could enjoy them again soon!Written January 22, 2025
- clairecK9248VV0 contributionsPoor communication about terrible road conditions after heavy rainThe guide ensured us that the pickup point was accessible with bike, scooter, or a small car. We told them we had a rental car, and the conversation ended there. There were two days of heavy rain before our tour, and the "road" (dirt path in the jungle) was covered in gigantic potholes full of water. It was also possible that it could rain again during and/or after our tour. The path, although not long, takes a significant amount of time as you must crawl at 5km/h to avoid damaging your car. Finally, we reached a huge pothole, nearly 1 meter deep, that spanned the width of the entire road. This was not wise with our small rental car, and we turned around. And because this is a sunset tour, the drive back would be in complete darkness, no street lights, no cell reception, outside of civilization. Upon cancellation, we received a text, "People take this road everyday in small cars ✌🏼 And has always been safe." The poor rating comes from the fact that the host misrepresented the difficulty of this drive after heavy rain, without warning beforehand. We would have arranged transport with them had we known about any of this. It's just not right to guide people into a potentially uncomfortable/unsafe situation.Written January 22, 2025

- Drfeelgood130 contributionsA must see if you are a nature and bird enthusiastAmazing nature reserve and very slow and calm way to explore it by kayak. Antonio is a great guide with lots of experience, he will tell you all about the birds and other animals who live in the mangroves. Loved it!Written January 12, 2025
- 721maryi0 contributionsAwesome way to see Sian Ka’an!Phenomenal. No kayak experience necessary. Even in a cloudy day, the lagoon was beautiful and we saw so many birds, fish, sting rays, and a crocodile! The road in the park is bumpy, but definitely worth the drive (we came from akumal). Antonio is friendly, knowledgeable and engaged.Written January 11, 2025

- 441breanay0 contributionsIncredible and SpecialThe kayaking experience with Antonio was so special and incredible. Imagine a peaceful, secluded exploration of the reserve with an experienced and kind guide to lead you through the experience. Our group of five wasn’t sure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised when it felt like we were transported outside of the hustle and bustle of Tulum to what this area must have felt like 50 years ago. Definitely recommend taking this excursion—it was fantastic. Gracias Antonio.Written November 21, 2024
- 320donatellab0 contributionsmagic golden hourI highly recommend the kayaking sunset in sian ka'an reserve. It has been such a wonderful experience. Our guide, Juan Antonio, took care of every details to make the tour an unforgettable experience! He explained a lot about the spieces living in the reserve. He is very professional and passionate about his job. I m happy that I decided to visit the reserve in a sustainable and ecofriendly way other than by boat. It was so peaceful and the sun set one of the best I have ever seen. Thank you Juan Antonio for this experience and the pictures! Hope to see you soon again for more adventures in the biosfere.Written November 16, 2024

- eduardogU8169SU0 contributionsSublime ExperienceI don't believe there's a better tour in Tulum! From the moment we arrived at the camp, we were warmly greeted by our guide, Juan Antonio. His English is flawless, and he’s incredibly knowledgeable. He put us at ease right away. Not knowing what to expect, he explained that this experience isn’t a workout but a peaceful, contemplative journey. This was a relief for some in our group who were worried about not being in shape, but the tour turned out to be a serene stroll over the calmest of waters. We learned so much about the ecosystem, from the mangroves to the diverse birdlife. We were lucky enough to see ospreys, frigatebirds, pelicans, ibis, spoonbills, and many other exotic species. The sunset was breathtaking. I can't emphasize enough how magical and fulfilling this experience was. If I could give it six stars, I would. You won’t be disappointed!Written November 8, 2024
