- D6892LFshannond0 contributionsUnprofessional Communication and ConfirmationBooked shuttle service in March of 2024 for July of 2024. Did not receive immediate confirmation. When finalizing our plans I still did not have a confirmation and with so many companies I wasn't sure of the company name and couldn't contact to confirm. I made arrangements with another company (immediate confirmation) assuming I hadn't completed the original reservation. On July 22, one week before our trip, I received an email from a mailing list - BOOKINGS which I did not open because it looked like a phishing email, with capital letters saying CONFIRM FOR SECURITY reasons. The name e-transfers was not in the subject line or on the sender line. On July 27th on the day we arrived, the same email was sent again which I did not see as we were travelling. That evening I received an email from GENERAL ET with the subject Arrival NO SHOW after we had already arrived at our destination. This email actually had the email bookings@etransfers.net. and my name. I contacted the company and asked for a full refund do to their lack of confirmation and terrible communication. They said they had confirmed by email and WhatsApp. I had no information from them in WhatsApp and they only confirmed my reservation a mere five days before arrival which was unacceptable for planning purposes. It was also a terrible format for communication. I asked for a full refund which they said was not part of their policy. We did use them to return to the airport as we could cancel our other reservation and e-transfers would not give us a refund. This companies system of using multiple email addresses as well as lack of immediate confirmation is unprofessional and we will never use them again. As far as I'm concerned they still owe us half of the two way fare.Written August 11, 2024

They say their policy is to wait around 15-20 minutos (my case was 40). Then the driver came up with some excuse and then we were paraded thru the taxi stand and placed in a common cab company. We had planned to have our service make a grocery stop route. Someone is always in contact with you through text if you need to make any updates to your reservation. They also make it really easy to find them when getting out the airport. The service was excellent in every regard. All of the staff members we worked with were very professional, they were on time with both pick ups and very diligent about making sure everything was confirmed and times were set. Advertised price in USD is not valid because they will charge what ever they consider exchange rate, which is alway inn their favor. - getttgottt0 contributionsExcellent 3am transfer from Cancun Airport to Playa Del CarmenTaxis, rental cars, and shuttles all have potential for sketchy situations in Cancun. We booked this last-minute, as our flight was delayed 15h and we were to land at 3am, after the last ADO bus which we had initially intended to take. We were able to pay by credit card before our flight even left America, so the only on-the-ground cost was the tip, which we gave in USD. While not cheap, they were professional, communicative, clearly explained where they would be waiting for us, took our bags, and got us safely to our lodgings in Playa Del Carmen at 4am. The shuttle van was clean and had water, soda, and cerveza he said (not sure the details on that, since we had none). I would recommend this if you are unable to take the ADO bus, or need a private transfer in the middle of the night (many private companies do not work late night, or they need 24-48hrs notice to do so).Written February 20, 2024

Worst company I’ve ever dealt with in all my years of travel.
My father was exposed to COVID three days before our trip so we had to cancel. I was informed that there are no refunds unless we paid for PREMIUM (overpriced) rate.
I was initially promised a full refund when I contacted by phone, but my emails to them went unanswered and no refund was given. When I called again. I was told there are no refunds for any discounted rates/
After disputing with my credit card company, they prevailed. I’m out $200 for a trip I never took and a service never received. Good luck finding their refund policy on their website, it requires extensive searching.
This os a shady company and I would never give them my business. Please pay too dollar if there’s any chance you may have to cancel (illness, passport issues) because they will ignore your emails but fight the credit card companies to keep your money.

NEVER book with this company. Had 2 lousy experiences. First we booked our ride from Cancún airport to Tulum and it took the driver a long time to come get us, then he told us he hadn’t slept in 3 days because the company was exploiting them but they needed the money, so I talked to him all the way afraid he would fall sleep while driving.
Then, booked a ride from the hotel back to the airport and they only asked when the flight leaves but don’t tell you what time they’re picking you up. I had to call because I didn’t receive a confirmation email and they said that the driver was already there (about 5 hours before our flight) and he wasn’t going to wait for us, not even for extra charge, and he was very rude and just left because “he had other things to do”. They send the drivers but don’t tell you and then the driver leaves and you get charged for the service. Save yourself a bad experience and just get a regular taxi.

Not recommended. Driver was not there to pick up on time and did not wear a mask. Upon departure, a text message and WhatsApp message were sent to change the time. They seem to be claiming they didn’t receive the text and tried to charge me again for transportation. Rebooted through the Fairmont which was 25% less than etransfers, in a nicer vehicle and with a driver who wore a mask. Don’t be fooled by the reviews, they push you to review positively after the trip. Avoid!

Reservation and payment process was simple. Connection at the airport was very easy and communication was helpful. Quick trip to our resort in Mayakoba. The problem was the return. Without dragging out the details, if you choose to go with them (although I never would again), be sure to check all the confirmation DATES very carefully. They sent a confirmation for our return 2 days before departure. I did not read the actual date close enough, although the time was correct. So they tried to pick us up 1 day early which resulted in a "no show charge of the fee". Ok, maybe my fault that I didn't catch their mistake. So I rebook at full cost only to have them send a confirmation for a day after our departure. An hour of trying to reach someone (good luck with that) resulted in me wanting to cancel because I wasn ' t sure they were even going to come. They said "no refunds." So we decided to just go with them (I'm already at $ 120 for the RT due to the no show). Then they were 30 minutes late to pick us up. Very stressful at the end. Eventually, they made it. But I won't ever use them again. A taxi would have been slightly more expensive (if I didn't have to pay for the no-show) and much less stressful. I booked with E transfers for our anniversary to pick my husband and I up from Cancun international to Tulum. Our private transportation texted me as soon as our flight landed in Cancun and gave us direction to the platform they will be at along with asking how many people were in my party and our attire. Once reaching the platform we were greeted and had to wait 20 ( the only down side ) til our actually driver arrived. We just started drinking lol. The ride to our hotel was smooth and the driver even offered to stop if we wanted to get drinks or use the restroom since the trip is an hour and Half. Going back to the airport our driver arrived on time and the ride was smooth again. I would recommend booking with them differently.

Luis from E transfers helped us and provided Unbelievable service, would highly recommend. Driver arrived on time and got us to the airport at the time we requested.
We had some additional questions and therefore had to speak with customer service over the phone and WhatsApp - they were able to converse in both English and Spanish perfectly, and were outstanding in providing assistance. We found speaking over WhatsApp to be very convenient.

Absolutely terrible. When we arrived there was no one to pick us up. They said it would take an hour and a half to wait. It was already 9pm. When we asked for a refund they said they could still fufill the trip but we had to pay another 228$. They promised this would still be round trip and they would still pick us up from our hotel to return. They pushed us into a “friend” come to find out another company where they split the money. In total I spend 448$ and only just back 220$. And they would not show up to take us back to airport. When I tried to report it they denied the whole thing. Please beware, this is exactly the thing that scams people quickly. Unreliable, unprofessional, and overall a scam.

This actually happened in May 2021. I realized I didn't do a review when I was looking at my TA 'Trips' to rebook with eTransfers again. Previously, we were returning home from UNICO resort and our van was late. Then I realized that when I booked it months earlier it was for the next day. I called them with the UNICO concierge in a panic that we were going to miss our flight or pay $100's for a taxi, that may still be late, if they couldn't help with my screw up.
They diverted a van from another pickup that had plenty of time and had us headed to Cancun Airport within 15 minutes for the 1 hour plus drive. Got there just in time and they saved the day. Thanks for making our mistake your problem.

Scheduled these guys for my girlfriend as she had an overnight/redeye flight and I knew she would be exhausted on arrival... they happily charged the $160 for a private taxi and took the flight details and then... DIDN'T SHOW UP! AT ALL. She had to make several calls to track them down and it took them over an 1/2 hour to arrive once she got ahold of them.

Booked one day before my trip and was hesitant due to the many mixed reviews. I will continue to use eTransfers for trips in MX. As long as you walk past the exit at CUN, you will find 2-3 attendants with smartphones. Gave my name, let me and my friends visit the airport bar for drinks and then went off to Tulum. On return day, I received a text and whatsapp message confirming pick up time. Was 20 mins early but waited until the designated time and even stopped at the Tulum sign so we can take pictures. Great service!
