- Evidence of Advanced (level 2) certification is required from all divers wishing to participate in a deep dive. These divings are only for advanced open water or higher certified divers (Open Water certified divers with deep certification will also be able to deep dive in cenotes).
- Diving within 48 hours of flying is not recommended. All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions (eg asthma, heart conditions, etc) may prevent you from diving, please consult your doctor
- Balance has to be paid in cash in pesos or $US to your guide.

Our guide was Alex who is managing the dive shop. He was awesome and very knowledgeable. He let us choose a bit of what we wanted to see and how we wanted to go about the experience. El Pit was awesome!!! I highly recommend it to any advanced diver who has the chance. Dose Ojos was also cool. I have snorkeled it a few years before and it is a significantly different experience from scuba. All in all, it was one of my best days diving.
One thing to note is that this is cavern diving. If you want colorful coral or schools of fish you will not find them here. I love caves. The gothic fixtures and the way the light comes through the perfectly clear water. So if that's your thing you will love it. If it's not your thing, it's still a super unique experience for scuba drivers and I still recommend it.

An amazing Cenote experience! Alex was definitely one of the best dive masters we dived with so far. Cenote diving is very special, for us the most important factor of choice was TRUST. We definitely recommend Alex if you want to get both, a professional and very experienced dive master combined with a cool personality - many super interesting stories and fun! Such a good soul! We loved it and we would strongly recommend Alex and La Calypso to all divers, beginners and pros. We will come back Hermano!👌🤟🏼 Asia (Joanna) and Julian.

The car wash dive really surprised us. just after raining last day. but director Alex has lots of experiences, the environment like exactly what he supposed. on the top water is like cloud you can't imagine how wonderful after you dive in the water.
Alex is a very nice and professional dive director, it was fist time for my daughter did cenote dive, he took care us very thoughtfully, make us very relax and feel safe with him. we enjoy a lot of these dive with Alex.
hope we can dive with Alex again.

This was my third year diving with Calypso. I did four dives in two days. My first day was with Frederico and the second day with Alex. Both days went really well and I can highly recommend Calypso’s team. I was diving with my daughter and we both felt really well protected during all our dives . Dive guides were well trained, professional and I strongly believe that this is the main criteria you need to look when doing diving in caverns. I would gladly do my diving with them again. Thanks Calypso.

I booked 2 cenote dives with La Calypso. Booking was done through email and they were very quick to respond (usually within 2-3 hrs during opening hours). Payment was also quick and simple through PayPal.
On the day itself, our dive guide was very relaxed and made sure we felt that way too. He told us what to expect before each dive such as the route and the things to take note of. He was also very amicable, talking about funny experiences in his dives around South America. The first dive was close to noon at The Pit. The light rays shining straight down into the cenote were spectacular! Underwater, the cenote boasted amazing formations and a thin sulphur layer. The second dive was in the famous Dos Ojos. Unlike the pit, this cenote is much shallower but also much larger in area. There are many paths divers can take, all having no shortage of surreal cave formations.
Overall, I highly recommend La Calypso as they were very professional and the whole experience was very comfortable and pleasant. I never felt rushed or unsafe throughout the dives. If you are unsure about cenote diving, it is very safe and I believe it is something that all divers should experience as it is very different from open water. Given the chance, I would like to dive more cenotes with La Calypso.

Was told I needed to be sure as it was for advanced divers only. Did Angelita and Carwash.
Angelita is the most challenging and the most beautiful. I felt that started panicking as were going further down as my reference was 0 due to visibility. Almost signalled the dive master to go up again but then the fog cleared and the mystery revealed itself. WOW!! Carwash was a walk in the park and very beautiful.
Martin, the dive master was very professional, equipment is up to date and I enjoyed myself that day very much. The day before walked in and happened to catch the owner who sold me by explaining the different sites with his enthusiasm. Will go back if I'm ever there again

This is the 4th time over the past 10 years that I have been diving with La Calypso Dive Center. I usually drive from Cancun to dive with them!
As always it has been an excellent experience. Compared to many dive centers, they take the time to explain to discuss so it makes it more relax and you have a much better experience.
Nicolas, the owner is very good with teens, share interesting information about the diving site while making sure safety is at the center of the dive.
As previously, I highly recommend this Diving Center

Diving with La Calypso was an absolutely fantastic experience! Alex is one of the best dive guides I ever had. He gave us a really precise briefing of the dive sites at the cenotes (Pit and Dos Ojos) and the equipment was well prepared. The cenotes we did are absolutely amazing. I can strongly recommend to go with La Calypso Dive Center, it was one of the best experiences in my diving life. Thanks a lot Alex!

Knowledgeable, super friendly and professional divers from La Calypso took us to two of the most incredible dives I have ever done. Diving in Dos Ojos and The Pit was an absolutely unforgetable experience. Our dive guide from La Calypso gaves us a wealth of information about the dives and safety was always the number one priority. I totally recommend! Don't miss the opportunity to dive with La Calypso dive center!

I appreciated all the attention to detail that your shop and Alex especially pay attention to. Alex was able to tailor the dives to my ability and even showed me some extra special things! It was amazing. I felt 100% comfortable the entire time, Alex was attentive and helped me advance my diving a little more showing me a new technique. When I come back La Calypso Dive Center is the only company I’ll be looking to book dives with!
