Ilario My first time diving in a cenote, an extraordinary, unique, indescribable experience. I have to thank the La Calipso Team for the perfect organization and in particolar Martino who drove me in this wonderful world with professionalism and sympathy always transmitting a great sense of safety.

Alex is an amazing, extremely patient and knowledgeable instructor. I have two teenage girls and he treated them with such professionalism. Even added some historical facts into the session. Thank you, Alex.

My husband and I had a fantastic time diving with Alex and Martino last weekend! We did the two-tank Dos Ojos dive and liked it so much we signed up for two dives at another location Kukulkán the following day. The team were super fun, professional and made sure we visited different sites that were unaffected by the unseasonal deluge of rain that was pounding the area. We are open water certified and appreciated the detailed briefing, emphasis on safety, and individual attention from the DMs (not to mention good condition of rental gear). We knew we were in good hands! Booking was easy and fast over WhatsApp and we even got some great local restaurant recs. It was a blast! I would say this is a once in a lifetime experience, but we’re already talking about coming back!! Thanks again to the team, hope to see you all soon!

We had Bebe as our instructor. He was absolutely amazing. I’m not comfortable in large bodies of water but Bebe made sure we spent 10 minutes practicing breathing through our mouths and instructed us on exactly what we’d be doing before we got into the Cenote. The Cenote is very beautiful. We made it to the bottom and I was still a bit panicky but Bebe reassured me even underwater. He held my hand throughout the whole swim! They took breathtaking pictures and videos of us that are worth it to look back at. We even saw a crocodile at the top of the Cenote ( he brought us to the bottom first to make us look up and see)! Great conversation, clear clear clear instructions and communication. Although I was anxious, I would 100% do it again. We didn’t get the chance to tip at the end because he helped us get a ride back before we made it back to the original instructional location. Bebe is a 10/10! The whole experience was a 10/10 even for beginner divers/ swimmers/ anything. Just breathe through your mouth, kick your feet, pop your ears once in a while, and enjoy!!

First ever Cenote dives. Did the Bat Cave and Barbie line with Martino. He is very competent, explained me all about it and briefed me how to dive in this, for me new environment. Grazie Martino. Also booking system was easy, can only recommend Calypso Dive centre.

We went to Car wash cenote and Casa Cenote and we really enjoyed the diving!! It was incredible diving inside a cavern (not a cave), meeting old trees, rocks, turtles and a crocodile too! Our instructor was very friendly and funny and we felt safe in every moment. He also told us many stories and useful informations about cenotes and Mayan culture. Absolutely do not miss it!

We had a great day with Alex! He organized everything we needed. Due to our sons age we couldn’t dive the cavern and so we did one dive together in casa Cenote and our son snorkeled while we dived dos Ojos.

Wonderful experience all around! Mariano was a skilled guide with a great sense of humor! It was a treat to get time with him. My two sons and I, (20) and (15), had never been scuba diving before. I’m a 55 year old female. Mariano kept us safe while teaching us how to enjoy his craft. The views and the experience were both incredible! We are a family who travels and we have gone on different excursions all over the world (from swimming with many sea creatures in multiple oceans to flying in helicopters all over, once in Alaska where we went dog-sledding on a glacier, and so many more) and this excursion ranks in the top five for me. My twenty year old says it’s his number one ever! I give it an 11 out of 10! If you are interested in scuba diving, this is the perfect environment to learn!

I (AWOD, now 42 logged dives) had a truly amazing experience diving the cenotes around Tulum with La Calypso Dive Center. I dove seven times in five days (refresher at Casa Cenote, 2x Dos Ojos, The Pit, Nicte Ha, Angelita and Aktun Ha alias Car Wash). I did all seven dives with Mariano, who is an extremely professional, extremely knowledgeable guide and diving instructor and most of all a very kind person. Since it was shoulder seasons I did all the dives one-on-one. I have learned so much not just about many different aspects and technicalities of diving, but also about the entire cenote system, Tulum as well as its environment - just from the conversations we had. As all my previous dives were ocean dives, diving in these cenotes was a once in a lifetime experience (but hopefully to be repeated). All of these sites are very different and very special. While in my personal and non-professional opinion, diving in these caverns is not for the faint of heart, I always felt extremely safe with Mariano, which made it a fantastic experience. The communication and booking with the dive center happens through the whatsapp company account (which is very common in Mexico) - big thanks here to Jimena and Paola who were very professional and responsive and made things happen also last minute. The gear I used was not fresh off the shelf but fully functional and adequate. You meet with your dive guide and at the dive centers‘ equipment hut in a beautiful little jungle garden in the center of Tulum. If I come back, I would always dive with La Calypso again.

Diving in the Mexican Cenotes was a total blast, and a big shoutout to our awesome guide: MARTINO! We're certified divers but were a bit rusty, and the refresher we got was top-notch, way better than our original course. We explored two cool cenotes, Casa Cenote and Dos Ojos, with Martino giving us the lowdown on each spot. There were snacks, plenty of laughs, and good vibes all around. If you're heading out for a dive there, definitely hit up Calypso Dive Center and ask for Martino – you won't regret it!

Great diving with Mariano at Dos Ojos! Tulum is over-run and over priced, our diving experience with Mariano was by far the best part of our brief stay in Tulum!

I had the chance to dive in Casa Cenote with my 13years old boy, for whom it was a first diving experience. Alex, our instructor, was very good at making both of us very at ease, providing clear instructions, demos, and support with obvious experience, calm, kindness and fun. We both loved it. I would definitely recommend Calypso if you’re interested in diving in Tulum.

We enjoyed our dives at the cenotes done with Calypso. We were received in a professional and on time basis. Equipment rental in mint condition. Dive Master was 5 star, patient, professional, safe and very informative. It was a great day. I will definitely go back and dive more cenotes and it will be with Calypso. We did Dos Ojos and Car Wash, looking forward to diving a few others next year on our next visit.
