This was my grandchildren's first trip to Mexico and we wanted to make it an adventure-filled experience. The team at Selva Maya helped us achieve that goal. Giel and his team were our guides. They were hospitable, engaging, and safety-focused. Giel stood out for the way he interacted with the kids (both young teens) and for making sure the grandparents were doing ok in the heat.

It was just the 4 of us on the tour. This meant extra time in the cenotes and taking our time on the ziplining.

Tips:
There isn't a sign, so look for mile marker 240 going south and STOP. We missed it twice.

Take bug repellent and put it on before the jungle buggy ride.

The photographer does a great job. Buy the photos.

We took our family of 4 this morning and it was a fantastic trip! Our daughter, only 6, was able to do the zip lining and the staff was so attentive and caring. The cenotes were the perfect cool off after the 9 ziplines. The tacos hit the spot after a great morning. Bring bug spray! Thanks to Jonathan, Sergio and team!

My husband and I took the tour this summer and it was SO MUCH FUN!!! It really was a jungle adventure! We rented a car and drove to the place from our hotel. We got there a few minutes late because the place was hard to find, but they were nice to us. We decided to pay the additional $30 to drive the ATVs and it was worth it! Just FYI, I am not so much of an atv person and it was very, very fun, but for sure extreme for a beginner. Then the ziplining course was a lot of fun! Mu husband and I are not in the most fit condition, so we did have to stop to catch our breaths a few times haha. We felt like in a Mayan warrior training camp! Then the rappelling was very cool! Finally, they took us to see 2 cenotes and that was incredible!! The most beautiful cenotes we saw during our vacation!

The guides and the whole crew were super nice!
The whole experience really was better than we expected. 100% worth it if you are looking for a half day of adventure in the jungle with lots of physical activity!!

My husband's review: The cenotes were unbelievable, something you would see in a movie or video game. Gael was fantastic. I would 100% recommend. The zip lines were Gucci as well.

Notes:
-The ATVs are not included in the price, but for $30 dollars it was worth it if you are into that sort of thing.
-Make sure to bring sunscreen and insect repellant. They said in the winter there are no mosquitos, but for us this summer there sure were plenty of mosquitos!! And get the good OFF brand!
-if you are driving there, the place is off the highway to the right, right after the Km 240 marker. There is no sign with the name of the place, you just go right and you will see people.

We booked last minute and had a fantastic time on the tour. Sergio, who acted as our lead guide, was very helpful and the whole team were friendly. We loved the cenotes which were a real highlight. Don’t let the meeting area put you off, it’s all super safe and well run.

I could not recommend Selva Maya Eco Adventure more!!! My husband and I rode ATVS, zip lined, and visited two cenotes and it was an amazing experience. Sergio was our tour guide and he was PHENOMENAL. He truly went above and beyond for us in so many ways. He offered to share his personal lunch, charge my phone when it was dead, and give us Tulum tour guide advice. We had such an amazing time!! We wish we could do it again because we had so much fun. The weather was cloudy and rainy but the experience was still so incredibly enjoyable. Even if the weather is bad, if you don’t mind getting wet, go on this trip.

My advice is to 100% pay the extra money to rent the ATV because it was a blast. The ATV ride was around 10-20 minutes each way which made for such a fun time!! We will definitely be returning in the future.

This was honestly one of the best tours we’ve been too. All my friends rated this 10/10! It was so much fun! The ATV cost was an extra $30 but honestly soo worth it. The trail was long and really worth the money. The ziplining was scary but so exhilarating all at the same time! Our tour guide Sergio really was the best! He was so funny, patient, and kind! He really made this one memorable. The best part was swimming in the cenotes. You visit two cenotes and it’s private! So you don’t need to worry about other people being there. In the end, they serve you lunch, tacos and even beer! What a great way to start our trip!
