FANTASTIC GUIDE AND EXPERIENCE
Apr 2021
YOU MUST TAKE THIS TOUR! I'm so very grateful for our amazing tour guide Alan! Alan knows the best spots and the best times to visit each cenote. Alan took the time to figure out our personal interests and focused on enhancing our visit through that lens. We loved learning about the history, the natural landscape, the environment, and the businesses surrounding Tankah Tulum. Alan was super knowledgeable about snorkeling and diving, and extremely accommodating. We enjoyed our time with Alan and also at Tankah! We were actually just blown away. Alan took photos for us so we could always remember our incredible experience. (I suggest you ask for Alan!)

Cenote dives

One of my favorite Cenote dives ever! They listened to what I did and didn’t like and gave me their best opinion! Felt very safe and comfortable. My guide even took GoPro videos of me ☺️

Great Group Activity!
Apr 2019
15 teens and 4 adults spent the day here in April. This feels like miles and miles from Tulum, but really not that far! We walked through the jungle, swam and explored the first 2 cenotes then ziplined and canoed. From there, we went to the last gorgeous cenote and then went to eat a delicious lunch prepared outside. With homemade tortillas! It was a lovely afternoon! Everyone had an amazing time.

AMAZING TOUR!!!
Aug 2019
Xiomara was the absolute best tour guide and I was amazed by this experience. While I have been to cenotes before, this was far less commercial than the other giant providers. The Mayan community was extremely welcoming and the food we ate on our lunch was the best meal I had the entire week. The children of the village tried to speak to us in English, which was super cute. We booked it through our Carnival Cruise, which took us to Cozumel. Although the ride there was about 45 minutes (and 45 back), the transportation was top notch and super comfortable. Loved snorkeling with full face masks instead of having to put a snorkel in my mouth. There was nature and beautiful birds all around and we even had a Tequila tasting, which to date- was the best tequila I've ever had. Unfortunately, you can only buy it there, so take advantage of the opportunity. I would definitely do this again!

Cenote hop 'til you drop
Jun 2019 • Couples
Wow. What a fun and unique time. I am so glad that we went on this excursion and booked it thru Carnival. It was convenient and they made it easy with the change of port itineraries and our guide made sure we got back in time to catch the last ferry to Cozumel.

You start off with a short walk from the boat along the pier to the Ultramar ferry. You let them know what excursion and they tell you which ferry to hop on. It is about a 30-35 minute ride from Cozumel once you get started, they go about 20 knots, pretty smooth sailing a few bumps here and there. There are TVs with music videos and other things playing and they offer drinks and snacks for purchase.

We landed and our guide Xiomara was waiting and ready to gather our group. She is very friendly and speaks very good English. She gathered the 25 of us or so and ushered us over to our bus. There is air conditioning and there are curtains on the windows.

Xiomara started by telling us what we were going to be doing, where we were going, some history of the area, and asked if we would like to stop at a nearby gas station where we could pay $1 for 2 people to use the restroom. Since it was a 50 minute ride and there were plenty of children she thought it was a good idea.

It is a nice ride on a freeway to Tankah. Xiomara explained about the place we were going and that they do not have power, but they sell these bracelets and you would need to pre-order so they can make them while you are swimming, zip lining, etc.

When you arrive you are told to get a life jacket, that there are poisonous trees and not to touch them because the antidote tree takes 30 minutes to start working, that there is a $30 fee to use a DSLR camera, etc. They do provide helmets fro free that can mount a go pro camera and that is no charge for the helmet or to film with a go pro.

We got so swim in 3 natural cenotes including our first cenote named “La Cueva" which you could jump into, zip line and drop into, or just take steps to enter. It was very cold, but there was a cave in the back.

Next we got to zipline across "Cenote Naval",and then take a canoe back across and get a chance to swim in it while watching others zip line. I think there is a 250 pound limit for the zip line.

I think the 3rd and most impressive Cenote was named, Gran Cenote Azul". Wow. Crystal clear waters and with a snorkel it was just amazing to see the fish and plants. They provide life jacket and a full mask snorkel unit.

Then we got to try a Mayan lunch with flour tortillas, rice, beans, salad,Chicken Pibil and Poc-chuc pork with a variety of side dishes including salsas and guacamole, waters, etc. A nice refreshing and tasty meal after all the activity.

It was about a 45 minute bus ride back, no restroom stop. We got to the last ferry just in time and took the 35 minute ferry ride back to Cozumel.

One of the highlights of our trip! Jose was our tour guide- excellent! Knowledgable about the local ecosystem, Mayan history/culture. The park is beautiful- swimming in cenotes and zip-lining were our favorite activities. Recommend starting early, as we did, and it was like having the park to ourselves.

Tour cancelled on arrival

We were looking forward to the five cenotes tour booked for my friends birthday. Booking was confirmed and accepted - but upon arrival at the meeting place we were informed there was no room for us on the tour and offered a one cenotes tour with an eco tour. We accepted because that was the only day we didn't have other things scheduled for our stay. No discount was offered for overbooking the tour - they blamed it on Viador

We are sorry for the inconvenience of your booking, however, we received your booking at 9:08pm when we were already closed and by this time we were already fully booked for the tour you wanted to take. We also have set Viator so that if a booking comes within 24 hs from the tour departing we have to accept the booking before it gets confirmed (no automatic booking), we don´t know how your booking came confirmed automatically. When we realized about your booking we sent you an email right away to let you know the situation and we didn't received any response. First thing in morning we called you and you said you were already an your way and that you will talk to us at the shop. Once in the shop we explained you again and give you the option to have a great day joining to the Sian Kaan tour and you didn't refuse. Sorry&Cheers

Amazing and fun tour!
My boyfriend and I are really glad we booked this tour. Tankah is a beautiful area! We loved the ziplines, canoeing, and swimming/snorkeling in the cenotes. Tankah is not open to the public, so you can only access the park through a guided tour. Julio was our tour guide, he was very knowledgeable about the history of the Mayans and the area, and took lots of photos of us to help document our trip, which he messaged to me at the end. My boyfriend and I were the only ones on the tour, so it was very private and peaceful, we got to enjoy all Tankah had to offer by ourselves. The timing was perfect, after enjoying the activities all morning, it ended with a delicious meal for lunch, made fresh by the locals. We were done before buses of other tours started to show up. Overall, highly recommend this tour!
