Amazing scuba diving and particularly special service - especially enabling children and teens to dive.
What an amazing experience. Julio was fantastic taking my two children (10 & 14) on their first Open Water dive in the cenote. They loved it, and it meant we could dive separately from them! He was a brilliant guide and instructor, patient and kind, and they even saw a crocodile amongst other things! Thanks Julio! We also loved Pato who was our guide in the ocean, both instructors then took the family of four on an ocean dive together. I can’t recommend these two and this company enough and really appreciate the extra lengths they went to in making our experience special. Thanks!

      Best experience ever
My scuba diving experience in Tulum was simply amazing. I had never scuba dived before but I decided to get my PADI Open Water Certification because I was so sure I was gonna love it. And I was right! My instructor Julio was the best, he was very patient, made me feel safe and always had the biggest smile on his face! The first day we dived in an open cenote, which was perfect for a first dive. For the second day we went to the reef and it was the most incredible experience ever. If you’re in Tulum, I highly recommend to do your certification with Agua Clara Diving, especially with Julio, you will have the best time!

So glad we did this tour!
This was an amazing trip - so glad we did it. We are not the most adventurous family and it was the perfect amount for us (2 kids ages 9 and 11). You could take or leave anything that was offered to you (One of our kids didn't want to do the zip lining so she walked with the tour guide to meet us at the canoes). It wasn't a tourist trap which we loved. Felt very remote and untouched - just how the Mayan people want to keep it! tiny little gift shop run by the Mayans just by the lunch portion of the day. It was only us at each cenote until the next group so felt very remote and private. There was a photographer (Hi Gasper!!!) that joined our group to take photos and they were optional to purchase at the end. They were spectacular and very well priced. They uploaded them immediately to our phone and also provided us with a thumb drive. Things I wanted to know before we went: You shouldn't wear any sunscreen even though they say wear reef safe. (wear a rash guard instead if you need one but you are in the shade for the majority of the trip) You carry your bag from cenote to cenote and just leave it in a cubby while your explore/swim. You don't need a towel (you dry just walking to the next cenote) but bring one if you want one. We wore sandals and that was fine. Bring bug spray for the small hikes through the jungle. There are no crocodiles in these particular cenotes (we were worried beforehand!)

Memorable Tour with lots of variety.
This is a wonderful trip- the lagoon float is incredible and very memorable, the Muyil ruins very interesting and not as busy so able to enjoy guides explainations. And our guide (wish could remember name) was very well informed and engaging.

      Extremely recommendable diving course!
We til our diving certificere here as complete beginners and we couldn’t have wished for a better place. The dives were beautiful and our instructor Julio was THE BEST! He is a great teacher and fun and cool to chat with. We felt completely safe during the three days it took to become certified. We can DEFINITELY recommend this place to go on some awesome dives!!!!!!

Casa cenote, dos ojos, bull shark dive and reef dive
Me and my friend went with Aqua Clara diving for four dives in Casa Cenote, Dos Ojos, Bull shark dive and a reef dive. Our instructor Beto was very professional and friendly and went with us for the two cenotes. The bull shark dive is an unique and exciting experience however you should be aware of checking your equipment thoroughly before going. My friend had a malfunctioning bcd at 25m and we heard that other people had experienced similar and they didn’t do anything about it. Other than that we highly recommend Aqua Clara for diving in Tulum area.

Best experience in Tulum and outstanding guide in Julio
The whole experience was amazing and the highlight of our trip to Tulum! Julio Salas was our guide and he went far above and beyond our expectations. Not only did he make sure we were safe and proficient while diving, but also made sure we had fun while driving, eating, and in between our underwater adventures. He was a walking encyclopedia of all things related to the area. It's rare to come across someone who really cares as much as he does. Everything else about the dive shop, other staff, and logistics of the experience were also top notch. I really can't recommend this experience enough. A must do if you are in the area!

      Great diving experience.
My husband and I recently did two reef dives with Julio and have nothing but great things to say. He was a great guide - super knowledgeable, fun and clearly has a deep appreciation and respect for the preservation of the coral reef and all its inhabitants. We highly recommend both Julio and the Agua Clara Dive shop to anyone interested in diving in and around the Tulum area!

      Awesome cenote and reef dives
We had an awesome experience doing the Cozumel Reef dive from Tulum and also cenote Dos Ojos. We were with the 2 of us plus our guide Julio for all dives and we felt completely safe and at ease, so we could just enjoy what was around us. The reef was amazing with great visibility and we saw many fish including turtle. But the cenote was truly something else and a unique experience I would highly recommend. Can't wait to go again. Thanks Julio and the team for this experience!

      Do a dive with Hairo!
We did our PADI open water scuba certification training with Hairo at Agua Clara. Hairo is the best! He was thorough and patient with us in our training sessions. Not only was Hairo knowledgable and professional, he was also hilarious. Our equipment was always in wonderful condition and clean. Our transportation was also very comfortable. Highly recommend doing dives and dive trainings at Agua Clara. Hairo also does a cave diving course, if you are interested!

      Amazing cenotes dives with Julio!
Amazing dives in two cenotes with Julio. I hadn't dived in a year so I did a refresher and Julio was a great teacher when practicing the safety exercises and overall a fantastic guide to the cenotes. Both dives were great, we saw lots of fish and swam under a crocodile! Second dive was in a cave and a unique experience. Highly recommended!

We visited Casa Cenote, Car Wash and Tankah over two days. I didn't care for Casa Cenote with the murky water caused by the crowds and/or tides. I thought the Car Wash was better in everyway, even the camera fee was a fraction of that in Casa Cenote. Tankah was more of an amusement park setup with zipline, kayaks, restaurant, traditional dance, in addition to scuba.

Our problem was the plan completely changed when we walked into the office. Divers under 15 years of age are not allowed in caverns, which they didn't tell us at the time of booking a couple months before. Our ages were clearly indicated on the first emails.

We did have a good time, but just to swim around a few ponds ultimately wasn't worth the side trip from Cozumel. We never did get to see a real stalagtite. Our original plan included Dos Ojos and Dreamgate.

My brother and I did three cenote dives with Agua Clara,
from booking process to dive we found these guys to be friendly and well organised.
Alberto, our dive master, was knowledgeable and took the time to properly explain each dive to us in detail. We never felt rushed at any of the sites - sometimes doing three dives you feel like you can hardly catch your breath between dives but with Alberto the whole day was taken at a relaxed pace.
The three dives we did were Casa Cenote, Pit and Dos Ojos, each one great in its own way but the Pit was truly something spectacular. Alberto's organisation meant that we got to Pit at just the right time for the sun to stream down into the water. Down at 30m and looking back up to see free divers silhouetted in azure water has got to be one of the most memorable diving moments I've ever had.
The only disappointment of our day was not having a camera to catch all the amazing moments.

I went on two days of diving the cenotes with Borja and Adiel. They were both wonderful guides. They were highly professional, centered safety and carefully explained the dive plan before we went on it. I was nervous about cave diving for the first time but they were very reassuring and made sure I had a great time. I also learned a lot of important Mayan history about the cenotes from Adiel, who is from Tulum. I would highly, hands-down recommend diving with these folks if you're looking for a reputable, professional, and caring dive team. I will definitely be returning to dive with them next time!

After my last not so great dive on Cozumel, I was very nervous to go diving again, especially as I never dived in a Cenote before. Luckily I had the best Divemaster I could have wished for. He was super professional, very empathetic and made me feel so comfortable and safe going through those amazing underwater tunnels.
He also has a very big knowledge and gave me a lot of information about the Cenotes and the Mayan Culture, which was very interesting!

We did El Pit first and then Los Ojos, the dive sites are so special and beautiful. It was the coolest thing I have ever done, can't wait to come back!

Big thank you to my guide Alberto, who helped me getting my confidence under water back!

I highly recommend this dive centre and Alberto as a guide!

We had a wonderful time diving at Dos Ojos Cenote for two tanks with Aguaclara Tulum in early January 2021. We have nearly 200 dives in some of the best places on the planet, but nothing is like diving in a cenote. The rock formations and crystal clear water were enchanting. The dive operation was first rate, and the dive master, Nico, was a joy to work with. Also, a shout out to Gemma who handled our email correspondence, and handled our convoluted schedule with grace and flexibility. A must do for divers in the Yucatan. Many thanks.

I did the advanced diving course with Luke (5 dives over two days) and had an amazing time. Luke was a fantastic instructor and helped me build a lot of confidence and experience underwater quickly while having a great time. The whole dive shop team was great too- lots of local knowledge and fun to get to know!

I am certified diver but had no experience in caves/caverns or freshwater. Communication in the lead up to the trip was very good. They recommended Dos Ojos as it is shallow and has a guideline. On the day, everything ran smoothly from the shop to gear to the site. The safety briefing from Marcelo was clear and thorough. The dives were amazing and it was such a different experience to any dive I have ever done. It was really calm, which I wasn’t expecting. The formations make you feel like you are in a cathedral underwater. I would highly recommend diving the cenotes if you are a diver visiting this area and I could not fault Agua Clara.

I had an amazing experience with this dive shop! The communication before the trip was excellent. Staff was quick to respond to email questions we had before the trip. When we arrived at the shop the employees were so friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately my reef dive had to be cancelled due to swells, but the team worked with me and found the perfect alternative for a second dive. My dive master, Hairo really made my trip complete. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the dive spot (Dos Ojos/Barbie Line and Bat Cave...must dos!) as well as everything along the drive to the cenote and the culture of this special area. Hairo gave me so many great diving tips and information that I never learned during my certification. I learned more from Hairo in a half day than I did from my dive classes! And to top it off, he is funny! Make sure you ask him about light and what it does to your PUPILS ;) I highly recommend this dive shop and Hairo. To be fair I was only with Hairo and didn't meet any of the other instructors. However, if they are half as good as Hairo, you will have an incredible experience!!!!!

We had 4 awesome cenote dives; Angelita, Car Wash, Dos Ojos and The Pit with Adiel and Marcelo. Both were very knowledgeable and fun!
I usually don't feel very comfortable in narrow, confined spaces so I had some hesitations but I still wanted to dive the cenotes in Tulum. Talking with Marcelo, his obvious level of experience, professionalism and the reassurance he gave me that the chosen dives are beginner friendly, gave me the confidence I needed to try cavern diving. And I did not regret it!
My boyfriend Marko who is an experienced diver and did some cenote diving a couple of years ago was also very happy with how everything was organized. Last time he was in Tulum, Mexico he missed the Angelita cenote, which turned out to be his favorite of all cenotes so far. I personally liked The Pit the most.
Cenote diving was magical and we both enjoyed this unforgettable experience very much. Thanks to both dive guides and see you next time in Cozumel.

Booked a Cenote 3 dive experience with Julio Salas as my dive guide.

He was very experienced on both the dive itself and the history surrounding the local areas.

All 3 dives were conducted in a safe matter without accident or incident.

The help in the dove shop was also to a high standard.

I would highly recommend booking with Agua Clara diving
