During this one-day tour you will learn of Chichen-Itza as a new seven wonder of our modern World. It's believe the peak of Chichen-Itza happened between 600-900 A.D. when most of the main architectures were built; like the one known as “Kukulkan” (The Castle) that twice a year shows the descending of Kukulkan (Sun God), this is a calendar event that occurs in Equinoxes & Solstices only. You'll take a dip & swim in the most famous natural sinkhole in the Yucatan Peninsula; The IKKIL Cenote. Here you'll enjoy a traditional & delicious lunch. Let me begin by saying we have been on many food tours across North America, and this was our favorite thus far. We learned so much and ate so much also! He’s super knowledgeable of the area and history of the area, as well as of all the food! Everything was so delicious, it was so hard to decide which was our favorite! If I had to choose it would probably be the el pastor tacos, one of the best things Ive ever eaten! By the end of the tour we were so stuffed all we could do was go back to our resort and hop into the bed! We can’t wait to come back again so that we can do his cooking class with him! - owsutton0 contributionsA Must Do!When I first booked this excursion, I did not know what to expect, I just knew that when visiting Playa Del Carmen, I wanted to experience food from the area as well as learn about its history. Little did I know that I would learn so much, not just about the food and history of playa del carmen but the food and history of Mexico, different traditions and more. Francisco was an excellent tour guide and he speaks excellent english . He is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. You should bring an open and eager mind as well as an empty stomach because you are guaranteed to be stuffed by the end of the tour. I learned so much about actual traditional Mexican food and made a friend in the process!Written March 9, 2019

We had a fantastic experience with our Chichen itza tour organized by Panchito. It was a magical experience to come back for our 25th Anniversary to see the beautiful archeological site and swim in the clear blue cenote. Every aspect was so well organized and the food was delicious. Thank you Panchito for ensure our family had such great adventure at a great price!
